  1. It kind of seems like it should be the responsibility of the crew to follow the racers. Am I wrong?

Seems real shitty that they lost because their crew didn’t exit at the same place in the roundabout. Maybe the team did it wrong and the crew couldn’t follow them (whether due to traffic or traffic laws) but they should be able to track and catch up quickly. Tough way to go out.

This fucking guy.  I just looked at his official FEC biography and he has the Texas A&M University School of Law, graduating in 2002.  That school did not exist.  It was Texas Wesleyan and A&M bought it in 2013.  On his OFFICIAL FUCKING GOVERNMENT RESUME.

Also, that resume has him as a Corps member.  So, a genuine weirdo.

I get what you are saying but I don’t think that is the dynamic.  I am pretty sure they think I am a Trumper also.  I refuse to talk about politics or religion with anybody.  When I say these guys are Trumpers I mean they are showing me pictures from New Years Eve at Mar o lago with Trumps family.  What’s frustrating is I’ve known these guys and many others for years and they are really good people and have helped me many times over the years and I do consider them friends but their views with Trump and Biden are warped.

See, but the bold part is not the test.  The test is not how they treat friends or people they view as their equal, or near equal.  The test is how they treat and view those who are marginalized or they see as below them.  I bet in those cases, the answer is different.

  4. Happy for Keilan. I am sure he expected more time after transferring from Bama, but never seemed to pout and seemed like a team guy. I kept waiting for him to give up but was always ready to go.

Also good for Ford. In the right place, I think he could be a very useful piece.

  5. I love that my family can go play putt putt golf on a Saturday morning. The same course my dad played on as a kid. Then, we can find multiple spots with great breakfast tacos. Then, we can choose from a few central Austin pools that all have a communal feel. Then we can choose between 3 or so record stores to browse through the bins. Then we can go to a movie and choose from 3 central Alamo Drafthouses, including the oldest operating one in the country.

That’s all within 15-20 minutes of each other.

  6. I don’t know the answer so this is an honest question. Are people affiliated with the university or outside of the university who were arrested for, but were not charged for, sexual assault banned from campus? Do campus police have a list or something?

  7. I saw that the Zilker Zephyr is in testing phase. Not sure when it’s open to the public but hopefully soon for my 4 and 7 year old.

That whole story is an absolute joke but I’ll be glad when it’s back up and running.

  8. Interesting

This interests me. We have a 7 and 4 year old. Is this a kid friendly place? From the photos, I can’t really tell. Looks like there’s a play area out there?

We’ve been trying to get them out to more shows lately and this looks like it could be a great time.
  9. Maybe women never wanted to have 5-6 kids (or any at all) but were forced to for labor or societal reasons. When they actually had, you know, agency, they made the decisions they always wanted to make.

  10. people take a 29/20/10 game for granted.  The number of times a 20/20/10 game has happened in the playoffs is pretty low...8 total.  Jokic now has 4 of those.

The stat on Inside the NBA was 25/20/10 games and it was 2 by Wilt and 1 each by Kareem and Dave Cowans. Jokic has 4. So, he has as many as the rest of the NBA, in its’ history.
  11. Also I laughed my ass off at the chicks repeatedly getting trucked in the bubble soccer game

That was a fun challenge. When Rob realized what was happening, he was like, “ok, you guys want some?”

  12. Watch the new Hot Ones with Conan on YouTube if you want to see one of the most insane things you’ve ever seen ever.

Watched it the other day and I was cry-laughing by the end. Total insanity.

Pretty much everyone does it on that show, but Conan complimented the host on the questions. It’s one thing to hear that from some actor but to hear it from a talk show host who has three decades of experience is another. Must feel awesome.

  13. Saw Monkey Man this week and really enjoyed it.  People keep bringing up John Wick, but it has much more on its' mind.  The setting and environment is very unique and not something you see a lot in movies.  It's much more political in nature.  As far as the action, I think it is more similar to something like Atomic Blond.  The action is actually pretty minimal and when it happens, it is much more brutal and personal than Wick.  It's people just trying to survive with whatever is within arm's reach, instead of the Gun Fu of John Wick.

You can see some of the seams of the story since it bounced around so many studios (it's an interesting Hollywood story), but it's a really impressive directing debut from Dev Patel.  These movies are not easy to make.
