  1. I saw that the Zilker Zephyr is in testing phase. Not sure when it’s open to the public but hopefully soon for my 4 and 7 year old. That whole story is an absolute joke but I’ll be glad when it’s back up and running.
  2. Yeah, Vinny’s language is Abuser 101. Whatever confidence she had, he has beaten out of her through the way he talks to her.
  3. This interests me. We have a 7 and 4 year old. Is this a kid friendly place? From the photos, I can’t really tell. Looks like there’s a play area out there? We’ve been trying to get them out to more shows lately and this looks like it could be a great time.
  4. Maybe women never wanted to have 5-6 kids (or any at all) but were forced to for labor or societal reasons. When they actually had, you know, agency, they made the decisions they always wanted to make.
  5. The stat on Inside the NBA was 25/20/10 games and it was 2 by Wilt and 1 each by Kareem and Dave Cowans. Jokic has 4. So, he has as many as the rest of the NBA, in its’ history.
  6. That triple double stat was insane. What a player.
  7. That was a fun challenge. When Rob realized what was happening, he was like, “ok, you guys want some?”
  8. Sorry about your car, though.
  9. Watched it the other day and I was cry-laughing by the end. Total insanity. Pretty much everyone does it on that show, but Conan complimented the host on the questions. It’s one thing to hear that from some actor but to hear it from a talk show host who has three decades of experience is another. Must feel awesome.
  10. These three teams working together are psychotic.
  11. Saw Monkey Man this week and really enjoyed it. People keep bringing up John Wick, but it has much more on its' mind. The setting and environment is very unique and not something you see a lot in movies. It's much more political in nature. As far as the action, I think it is more similar to something like Atomic Blond. The action is actually pretty minimal and when it happens, it is much more brutal and personal than Wick. It's people just trying to survive with whatever is within arm's reach, instead of the Gun Fu of John Wick. You can see some of the seams of the story since it bounced around so many studios (it's an interesting Hollywood story), but it's a really impressive directing debut from Dev Patel. These movies are not easy to make.
  12. Sure, just put it in car wash mode. But note that car wash mode turns off your wipers…..so, good luck, I guess?
  13. Can't remember if you were there, but we had a Shaggy happy hour there 15 or so years ago.
  14. A little Dick, who was perfectly cast as well. Marie de Salle's playing. You remember I told you about her. I like her. She's kind of Sheryl Crow-ish crossed with a post-Partridge Family pre-L.A. Law Susan Dey kind of thing, but, you know, uh, black. One of my favorite movies. They're actually showing it at the Alamo a few times this month if you're interested.
  15. Mariko killed it that episode. Council scene was fantastic. Pretty awesome episode, even without Toranaga. Needs more Fuji though.
  16. Do you want to see Due Lipa and Annie Clark eye fuck each other for 3 minutes? Of course you do:
  17. I went and grabbed a matinee at Alamo Village today (Money Man - really liked it). When I was walking in, I noted a video return box for Vulcan Video outside and when I walked in, they had a bunch of DVD sleeve inserts organized by director and genre. I asked the guy at the desk and he said that they bought the Vulcan Video inventory and are setting up a small rental shop, hopefully completed by the end of April. He said that they will be free rentals, just asking people to bring them back. It's DVD's for now, but they are working to figure out VHS as well at some point, although it's harder to find and not many people still have (or want) VHS players. I'll be interested to see it when it's set up. Just FYI for you physical media heads out there.
  18. Netflix has put out some really underrated animated movies the last few years. We watched Mitchells vs. the Machines again a few weeks back and that's probably better than any Disney/Pixar movie since probably Inside Out. I actually like Mitchells vs. the Machines better. It's so good. We also really like The Sea Beast and have heard good things about Nimona.
  19. Max HAS to be more aggressive on 13 and 15
  20. I'm rooting for Max. Just an extremely likable guy. He'll probably need to hit one of these birdie putts though.
  21. Yeah for sure. I was more referencing everyone else. Max had a bad shot in. Bryson and Morikawa both 3 putted 13. As I speak, Bryson just dunked a chip at 15. Yikes.
  22. These leaders can’t afford to just par the par 5s. They have to at least birdie those.
  23. Outside of Scottie’s eagle, it’s a blood bath out there.
  24. If you want to see one of the greatest cinematic achievements ever, the 7 Up Series is for you. Starting in 1964 when they were 7, they have visited with the same 15 or so people every 7 years to see how they have changed. They aired 63 Up in 2019, so they have done 9 episodes. It's enthralling and unexpected every time. Some depressing and sad parts, but also some beautiful changes throughout their lives. The overall concept is that you can show a child at 7 and you can tell who they will be when they are older. Basically a nature/nurture experiment for the last 60 years. Some of that has seemed the same while others have varied wildly. It's truly incredible to watch the whole thing. The main filmmaker (Michael Apted) died a couple of years ago, but I really hope they keep it going. It can be hard to find them all, but it's worth it.
