My favorite thing is beating OU and them somehow getting in in front of us. So much fun.

Waymo cars Hit the Freeways
We were in a black cab in London a couple weeks ago and the cabby was confident that the cabs were a safe job for a while. His theory was basically that the self driving cars are way too passive to work in London. He was telling us this as he was (very) aggressively navigating his way through a nasty traffic jam, so it was compelling at the time. Interesting to see that the code is being changed to address that.

Apple TV+
I thought the Scorcese documentary series was excellent. They had a lot of the main characters in his life (in front of and behind the camera) being interviewed and he is very open as well. It's a great review of his career and the different phases he went through. I have generally struggled with loving his movies as I always felt he gave his worst characters too much grace. It was interesting to dig into his view on the world and where it comes from.

Favorite TV side character
Not to be pedantic, but what are we defining as a side character? If they’re part of the main cast (Lucille or Ron Swanson), is that side? Frank Costanza and Rafi would more qualify, I would think.

Epstein and Maxwell
I mean, Boebert and MTG (and Mace to an extent) have been jokes for years. I have to begrudgingly give them some credit for going against the tide of their party on this.

Chelsea 2024-25: We miss you, Roman
As a follow up, the morgue that is Stamford Bridge, the huge pain in getting out of there and the late loss to Sunderland did not, in fact, reignite anything. I’m glad I went to see an EPL game and see my team, but wasn’t the most exciting experience. The Sunderland fans were on fire though. The people I talked to in London said that the big team stadiums are pretty dead as it’s a lot of out of towners and such who don’t know all of the cheers and how to act. I could definitely feel that around our section (me included). They said the traveling fans are still rowdy though since those are the true fans.

Predator Badlands
I struggled a bit through the first hour or so (it was also during my afternoon slump), but from when the kalisk shows up through the end, it rips.

Real Sports was also great. Just really well done journalism for almost 20 years.

Most thermostats these days can go from heat to cool with a click of a button. It’s pretty neat!

Man, that Washington QB kept taking off with no pressure. No idea what he was doing.

2025 Random Games thread
I know this is one game, but Freeze looks like more of a dumb shit after this game. He should have never have started Jackson Arnold. They may have beaten aggy and Georgia with a functioning QB.

Frankenstein, Guillermo del Toro, Netflix, November (del Toro doing the original book)
I went today to catch it in theaters before it went to just streaming. I thought it was fine. It was a Del Toro movie, so it was visually terrific and the technical aspects were all top notch. I just found it kind of uninteresting and Mia Goth was miscast. I read a review afterwards that called it "inert", which seems like a good word for it.

Saw it yesterday and really enjoyed it. Stone and Plemons getting after eachother was a lot of fun. It will be interesting to see it again to see if everything tracks.- Texas vs. Vanderbilt - 11am on ABC
When it’s 1st and 20 and up 21, just get some yards for an easier field goal. No need to risk anything.- Texas vs. Vanderbilt - 11am on ABC

Yeah, I didn't know TPUSA members were a Protected Class.- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
I'd be careful. If Arch plays behind this O-Line, Kyle Flood may be brought up on Manslaughter charges.- Roofman
Caught this one yesterday and enjoyed it. Not essential, but a good time for 2 hours. Tatum and Dunst are great in it. It's incredible that Dunst has been doing this shit for 30 years and is still delivering.- Scream 7 - 2.27.26
Yeah, I looked at the imdb and Lillard is on the cast list. Also showing Scott Foley from 3. I think there was some contract issues with Neve Campbell, so she wasn't in 6. And then Barrera was fired for tweeting pro-Palestinian stuff in October 2023 (should have waited a bit on that, no CR/DT). Then Ortega left partly because they fired Barrera. Then there was a director change. Just a mess of a production. https://www.businessinsider.com/scream-7-jenna-ortega-melissa-barrera-controversy-explained-2023-11 I'm not a big horror fan, but was 14 when Scream came out and exploded, so that franchise has always been big one for me. I enjoyed the last couple.- Concerts you are attending
Letterman used to sing "America" to his son at bedtime, so in the lead up to his final show, they had First Aid Kit on to cover it. I love watching old clips of Letterman performances, because you can really tell when something hits for him. The end of this clip shows that. - Bugonia - Yorgos, Emma Stone, Jesse Plemmons
