  1. I don’t understand this sentiment. Obviously this is some irrelevant projection with 3 weeks to go in the regular season so I’m not going to sit here and wring my hands over it. Just giving my opinion on a hypothetical projection. I understand keeping the smaller mid majors (like UTRGV, Lamar, Northern Kentucky, FGCU, and the numerous others that make the tournament) in regionals near them to save cost. But TCU?? Ship their ass to Timbuktu. If that scenario plays out where the final host spot is decided between TCU and UCLA then TCU should get shipped out to LA to settle that debate on the field Field needs to be seeded 1-64 and then minor tweaks be made when deciding where the UTRGVs of the world are going to be sent.
  2. If the committee gives Texas the same regional that D1 baseball is projecting, that would be criminal. To give the #1 National Seed the RPI 17 as a 2 seed, the RPI 34 as a 3 seed, and a 4 seed that made it to Omaha 2 years ago and is almost in the RPI top 100 would be unjust to say the least
  3. Oh Prairie View
  4. In conference play Grubbs/Volantis have combined for: 45.1 innings - 5 ER - 10 BB - 59 Ks - 0.88 WHIP - 6-0 - 12 Saves When you have two robots in the back end of your bullpen that can both eat 4-5 innings a weekend and throw up 0s, it allows for “luck” to swing your way like Jalin missing a sign, stealing 3rd, and scoring on a bad throw. It’s very unusual, especially in college baseball, to have two arms like Volantis and Grubbs in your bullpen and I think a lot of people are having a hard time reasoning with that. The vast majority of programs would have already moved Grubbs and/or Volantis into their rotation.
  5. Luckily for them they have a savant leading their program. A&M has 5 successful SAC bunts all year long yet you would have thought this weekend they were a small ball team. He manages with a scrabble bag. They wouldn’t know competent baseball if it slapped them in the face. In some ways it did, competent baseball slapped them in the face, packed their bags, and headed to Austin
  6. They didn’t want to let Lemonis get to the slump buster Mizzou at the end of the season
  7. I still don’t know why we threw Dre for 5 2/3 and he dodged several bullets along the way, but really happy Dre got to have that moment today. He isn’t THE reason this team is good but who he is as a person and leader is a big reason why this team has the culture they have in that locker room. Longest career outing coming into today was 4 innings and the most pitches he had thrown was 51. Today he threw 5 2/3 and 68 pitches
  8. Only question is his foot
  9. You know that hurts so bad for them lol. Tying run on 2nd in every game
  10. What a double play
  11. Would be wild to pitch Volantis three days in a row but I say fuck’em
