AAS said they asked each player with eligibility left if they are coming back
Weaver: said he is coming back
Chris Johnson: said he is coming back
Devon Pryor: said he is coming back
Shedrick: said he is coming back
Onyema: Did not comment
Mitchell: wasn’t available for comment but said previously he will likely “undergo the NBA evaluation process”
Hunter: Same as Mitchell
Hey Dillon, I don’t think the NBA is looking for guys you forgot are on the court the majority of the time they play -
We saw Broughton at the spurs v Nuggets game at moody a couple weeks ago. He was wearing mid thigh shorts and my wife, after I told her who he was, commented on how skinny his legs were for how big the rest of him was. It was honestly jarring. Like two toothpicks in an orange.

In Texas, universities literally used to have to get legislative approval (not from just some committee, the whole legislature voted) to raise tuition, which absolutely no one liked.
When the lege voted to allow schools to set their own tuition, they traded that for lower funding.
Yeah, I remember my dad saying everyone was protesting back in the 70s when it went from 4 to 12 dollars a credit hour.
Where did the school administrations fall on this issue? Were they in favor of setting their own rates?

Mostly deregulation, which appears to have preceded lower spending. https://alcalde.texasexes.org/2019/01/looking-at-higher-education-funding-in-texas-and-how-we-got-here/
is it fair to say that this same thing happened everywhere in the country as an explanation to why costs have gone up nationwide?

What changed in 2003 that cut gov't funding? I haven't heard about that, looking to read up on it

One of the mildest Texas winters I can remember. Not complaining, considering the grid can't handle demand.
It was the coldest January in Austin in 17 years- 3

Do we really want to have as broad of an appeal as possible? Then we'd just become reddit-lite, which is about the last thing I would want this place to be. I don't want to read what 18-24 year olds think, their opinions suck.

I work for an emergency comms company so I am deeply familiar with this world. If you are looking to send to just a handful of folks and only via text, something basic like text-em-all is probably all you really need.

Some decently heavy stuff right where it’s been needed most (Boerne to Burnet)

Ewers is just weird. Shaky start, then in the 4th he went out and made big throw after big throw all while looking depressed.
might've just been concussed...

Honestly, I thought the defense played pretty well at first glance. There were no coverage busts and hardly any soft coverage giving up easy 10 yard outs. The deep shots were all absolute dimes by an NFL starter level QB. We generated decent pressure I thought as well. Against any other QB that doesn't have the elite pocket presence and quick release that Penix has, we would've had half a dozen sacks. Maybe I'm being too soft on PK, but I think this was a case of solid defense being beat by elite offense.

I think he actually needs to be more of a gunslinger. The arm talent is real, but he can get risk averse and robotic at times. Both this year and last year there have been lots of plays where he throws too early before the WR gets their head around, or he goes from primary read straight to check down. He doesn’t throw on the move a lot when he has to leave the pocket - it’s usually just full run mode.
There is kind of a weird dearth of off schedule plays or throws like the one to Sanders in a tight window up the seam from the OU game last year, considering he actually does have the arm to hit those tight windows.
Granted, the fact that we didn’t see him even attempt any bullets like that in 4 downs from the 12 when needing a TD might be unduly influencing my take. But it’s still weird to see a rocket arm QB that doesn’t really ever gun it.
yeah my thoughts as well. Have we ever seen him throw a ball with the speed and trajectory as Penix's 2nd quarter dart between the safeties? I have never seen him throw a fastball. It's weird that he can comfortably throw it 60+ yards but also not appear to be able (or at least never tries) to throw a frozen rope. Might be his low throwing mechanics.

What technological breakthrough has there been in the past twenty years that has markedly improved daily life? I’m sure there are medical treatments that have gotten much better, but otherwise I struggle to think of any. Is my life really better by having the internet in my hands at all times, leaving me with the attention span of a goldfish? Social media we know conclusively is bad for society. Has data analytics done anything except reduce everything I like into a number and taking away any human touch? Will machine learning/AI do anything but allow companies to do things more efficiently at the expense of human interaction?
I find myself slowly turning into Ted Kaczynski, minus the whole sending bombs in the mail part. The galling part is that I work in software…oh well it pays the bills.- 4
