I would disagree that 6A doesn't have the best matchups possible today. IDGAF about Allen or any other teams' pedigrees. This is how the slate played out, and those are some badass matchups. That doesn't mean if a game doesn't end up 38-35, that it wasn't a great game. I disagree with a lot of that mindset coming from this thread in the past few days too.
Hell, before long we start slating the games just for TV audiences. Fuck that. The current system is great. Odd years, D-1 plays first. Even years, D II goes first. It works. Everyone knows what to expect. -

I like it that there is zero subjectivity in the matchups. Keeps it clean and whole. No manipulation. Everyone knows how the slate works before the season even start. There is no perfect set-up, but I dare say this one is fair(est.)
That's probably why the powers that be will not be able to resist fucking it up. -

17 minutes ago, tx ind said:The intimidation factor at Kyle Field is predicated upon people not laughing openly at the idiotic antics and cheers, while aggy mindfucks itself into believing people are scared. No, it isn't fear, it's "How fucking insanely stupid will these people get with their cult bullshit and milquetoast idiocy?"
Fear =/= disbelief

Love is: oldest son wondering who sent iceball molds to his house and having to ask who did it. His little brother did it.
Also younger bro found Angel's Envy by his house in LA for $27.99. They miss marked the 750 mL for the price meant for the 350. They let him get two bottles at the lower price and he was very happy..
Merry Christmas bourbon lovers!!!

Actually the playoff seeding is awesome in Texas High School playoffs. If you are a District Champion, you don't play another DC until the 3rd round. The 4th round is typically the other best team in your region.
Not sure how else you'd expect it to be, given the size of the state and number of schools.
Rankings are just for fun, exactly as it should be.

They haven't been in Dallas for a long time.
Hey, I was cool with the rotation of the games, but the powers that be didn't like the difference in attendance in San Antonio & H-Town. Personally, I favor the old neutral site games; but that ain't happening again in our lifetimes unless Jerrah changes his positive business relationship with UIL or another foundational piece in the current setup changes too. I also feel it favors some spoiled ass DFW fans who never have to travel for games; but the teams/ towns that travel really DGAF any more. They have adjusted. the big city fans will never know what that is like.
I went to the games last year and enjoyed it. I like it for the athletes. They want to play there, and that payoff is enough for me. Having the games at JerryWorld is still special. and for those of us who can't get there, Victory+ is kind enough to share the broadcast for free. It's a great 4 days of football.
