  1. Navy about to get the 5th possession by either team with 3:45 left in the 2ndQ.

Army might just have 2 possessions this half and go to the house with the lead.

    Craziness.

  2. I vote that Daryl Reaugh call the Army-Navy game.  Can you just imagine the obscure references relative to the game?

These announcers are drier than Thanksgiving turkey.

I'm so old I remember when he played for Detroit...

'twas a great game, and I agree with the announcers- it felt like a 2nd weekend game in March, especially with a 50-50 crowd in Dallas.

Arkansas has adopted the Oakland Raiders mantra in the 70's.  Foul every fucking play-  they can't call em all.  Tech played well, but there's lot of coaching to be done.  Glad they played a physical team like the Hogs at this point.  Wouldn't be surprised if their paths cross down the road again.

    Fuck Calipari.

  6. I say it every year, so here goes-  If you ever have a chance to attend this game, DO IT!!!

It's unlike any other sporting event and seeing it live is spectacular.  Fudge Nuggets is gonna be so damned mesmerized today with the goosebumps, electric moments, and maybe even a tear of pride or 2.  If the opportunity ever presents itself, you won't regret taking it all in.

2026 game will be at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ for the 6th time, 2nd at MetLife.
2027 has America's Game returning to Philadelphia, for the 91st time and 15th at Lincoln Financial Field.

Glad Wall won.  Someone finally had to beat dem Tigers.

Flipside of this was thinking 2A Mount Enterprise might have it in the tank to beat those Shiner Comanche, who are also always in the hunt.  No dice.  Shiner prevails 28-8 and returns to their home away from home, the Texas State Championship Game.

  8. Enlisted Navy son's boat, the USS Carl Vinson...and I love the cargo ship in the background for context of the enormity of the modern day carriers.

Army officer and West Point grad son's  equipment in route clearance( IED removal) which is not all that impressive compared to a floating city on the sea; but they save the hell outta lives.  He doesn't talk about it much, but one of the coolest things he did, IMHO, was debrief a conference of NATO dignitaries and brass as about a 23 year old Soldier.  Then their team trained those allies on the equipment for the next 6 months. The robot shit was badass.

  9. I was just in Chicago for 2 weeks...  could be some of both.

Just get a kick out of "Hey those high school games that are among the very best entertainment values in existence for your dollar need to be on TV more like the college shit that we can't afford any more."

I prefer to go to the games, but admittedly, Stephenville being the closest host location ain't worth that fucking drive tonight.

Sat in QBRs in Bethesda today and one of the directors caught me laughing to myself and asked if I had something to add. I said “no, not out loud.”

What I should have said was “everybody chill. We’re in a particularly nasty iteration of the simulation, and no amount of stress can reverse the systemic breakage occurring right now.”

One of the VPs actually has a practice around how to profit from DOGE destruction. I can’t wait to see that deck.

Still, after spending my first week scrambling around the beltway I’m spent. And I get to do it again next week.

How are we gonna pull outta this shit if you don't act worried?

It's about as effective as " You need to show more energy when things are going well"  Yeah motherfucker?  I don't see any pom-poms.

  11. One of the things my employer does is match charitable donations dollar for dollar. They have to be legit entities, like not your kid's baseball team; but rather YMCA or Big Brothers-Big Sisters

Through the years we have gotten them to match when we hit a team goal for giving to local food bank or women's shelter, for example.

That's a good way to drive dollars, which matter dearly; but volunteering time is also a tremendous way to give back.
