Blarg, I’m mostly mad bc after this gets sent around by email forwards, my mother in law is going to call me and ask how to set her up on Twitter

This is exactly what Elon wants. If you think the olds have gone crazy watching Fox News and reading FB, being on Twitter will take them into a new stratosphere of craziness.

  2. Have you ever bought something online and there was crap about “buy now, pay later” during the checkout process?

You can finance an AR-15 this way too.

I’d like to see the statistics on how many mass shootings had weapons financed vs paid in full with cash (or credit card).

By “financed” I mean using a lending company that specializes in financing AR-15s. There is a whole industry of companies specializing in financing gun purchases.

Honestly, Meyer needs to fuck off. I think he's still salty about how we treated Herman. Him and the media want to hype Texas up to an impossible degree so they can shit all over us for falling short of the ridiculous standards they set.

What? Urban hates Tom Herman. If anything, his praise of Texas is a backhanded way of saying we are better without Mensa.

    He still on the loose?

We need a hard target search of every residence, warehouse, farmhouse, outhouse, henhouse, whorehouse, and doghouse.

According to Bam’s brother, he is on a meth binge with his girlfriend and her 8yo daughter.

There is a plan, for sure.  He's not shooting from the hip here.  Prime was on Pat Mcafee today and said he knows who's coming but he can't tell us yet.

Well shit Aaron Rodgers told Pat that Quinn Ewers was gonna be great here at Texas. Should we be thinking Heisman or Championship next season based on what people tell Pat McAfee?

  6. How many transfers were at CU before Deion? How many transfers that came from JSU with Deion are now in the portal? How many transfers who just enrolled in January are in the portal?

If a lot of transfers are the ones who came from JSU and just enrolled, the team is in deep shit.

I agree. LBJ’s parking lot is excessively huge. I’ve never seen it close to being half full. Even on game days. I assume the library controls the land, and not UT. Otherwise, they would have utilized the space long ago.

The LBJ library takes up a fuckton of valuable land that can be used for football. Has a Presidential Library ever moved locations before? Just make some fancy new buildings at the Pickle Research Campus and move it over there.

I'll elaborate a little on this.

People don't necessarily do crimes because they're fucked up, although that doesn't help.  And it's a bit more complex than 'stealing to support your habit."

An addict first becomes afraid of experiencing withdrawal, then, their entire constitution, mind and body, cannot comprehend being sober.  In this state, they will compromise their values in order to protect their addiction.  Obviously, if they have no money to buy drugs, they'll steal drugs or money or both.  But they also do things to separate or distance themselves from people, places and things that they feel are a threat to their addiction, and sometimes to undermine those people so that their efforts to separate the addict from the drug are ineffective.

Your initial values as a non-addict are kind of a baseline from where the departure starts, and the depths and desperation of your addiction help define how far you'll depart from your basic values.  Maybe also some aspects of your character.  A fairly normal addict may convince herself she's just borrowing the money, at least at first, and so on and so forth until you get into an irretrievable situation of desperation.  If you're a piece of shit to begin with, you may blow right past the "borrowing pocket change" stage to major theft or embezzlement, or certainly get there a helluva lot quicker.  And, being intoxicated and impaired all the time doesn't help bring any clarity or judgment to the situation.

My theory is that Alex killed Paul and Maggie because they were a threat to his addiction and relatedly to his crimes that supported his addiction and permitted him to retain his standing and wealth.  It's not that common among addicts to do shit like this, but consider where Alex came from:  he was already pretty corrupt in many ways and had probably been exposed to murder-type corruption in his lifetime through his family.  So his addiction and addictive thinking are what propelled him toward murder, and his generally shittiness as a human of the Murdaugh subspecies, probably along with being boiled as an owl 95% of the time, is how he got to this place.

All of this reminds me of this E6309559-12FD-49D7-A436-2EC6569D26C0.gif.25fb9feaeaaa1c2115c11fe31dd2ca17.gif

  9. Why would Alex go to his parents house so late at night? It’s a huge bitch for Alzheimer’s/dementia patients to be bothered after they are already down for the night.

Yes, I know his father died a few days later. If his reasoning is that he visited so late at night because he was concerned about his father’s health, it would have made more sense to go earlier in the day instead of driving around the property with Paul messing around with trees and hogs.
