True, we only know what he thinks about domestic violence & given he & his wife founded the Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence & that his wife is the sitting chairman.

The Wexners are certainly wise enough to know that a wife beater was harbored within the staff.. I’d say it’s safe they would have a problem with that.

You are making inferences, but you don't know that Wexner wants Meyer fired because Wexner hasn't commented on it publicly. You keep implying in varying tones of certainty that "once arch-crusader Wexner gets involved, Meyer's gone!" or "they would have a problem with that", but you don't actually know anything. None of us do.

Perhaps, but I think the two week window is for agreeing on the buy-out of his contract.

not so, it takes two weeks to completely survey all of the college sports message boards to find out what the proper, moral course of action is

IMO, UNC football was the sacrificial lamb. The basketball team was winning titles during that time and had a player blowing the whistle on the academic scandal*, but the sanctions were focused on the football team. Complete conflict of interest for the NCAA - pull back the curtain on one of the premier basketball programs that is a perineal player in the NCAA's billion-dollar tournament, or just put the blame on the basically irrelevant UNC football program that isn't making money for the NCAA?

*"When you get to college, you don’t go to class, you don’t do nothing, you just show up and play ... That’s exactly how it was, you know, and I think that was the tradition of college basketball, or college, period, any sport. You’re not there to get an education, though they tell you that."— Rashad McCants

That's ironic coming from McCants, he didn't even show up to play on a regular basis.

Yeah. I'd like to point out that I've been dead wrong on this one. I assumed Tosu would have fired him "for the good of the institution".

I am learning that there is no good at the institution.

what you are learning is that there probably aren't any universities, ours included, that are likely to fire a coach who goes 73-8 on a knee jerk

I’m sorry, I thought this was the uniform thread.

judging by Urban Meyer's "forward", it is certainly not the spelling thread

  6. are there really not any Aggies that realize how stupid the stripes on the shoulders look?

look, their uniforms are never going to be anything special but the maroon helmet, maroon jersey, white pants, blek shoes look at home and maroon helmet, white jersey, maroon pants look was as good as it got for them

  7. don't strain yourselves trying to figure this one out, it's not hard, Ohio State opens with Oregon State and then plays Rutgers. then the next week they play TCU at JerryWorld. It will be a two-game suspension. He's not getting fired and he is not getting a suspension that extends into the meat of the schedule.

pearls will be clutched though I can tell you that much

    Yup.

This shit could get epically popcorn worthy if certain parties don’t play the cards the right way.  Every employee in the ADept knew Earle’s grandson was a coke/roid head & protected.. I’d guess most in the building were aware of the abuse issues or st least that the Smith’s had a mofo crazy marriage/divorce.

What’s the total headcount & terminations gonna be after this is all done?

FYI, it’s the Les Wexner Football Complex @ the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.   Mrs Wexner surprised Les on his birthday with that lil happy birthday token.

Holy unleavened bread, that dept may get scorched like a couch on High Street. Wexner certainly isn’t involved nor has knowledge of any simpleton shit that goes on at the meathead center... if the University doesn’t handle this properly we are gonna see a modern day civil war in Buckeyeville.

    you are a hilarious person
