UCLA used to wear the powder blues home and away.

They wore them here in 1970.

Tennessee also used to wear their orange home and away but that changed at the 1969 Cotton Bowl when they played us and had to special order white jerseys.

Tennessee and Alabama also used to wear their "home" uniforms when they played head to head. Not sure when it stopped, but recent interest on the Tennessee side has gone unreciprocated by Alabama.

    Bowen SR already backtracking.

Thanks for clarifying AFTER the damage has been done, cocksucker. (Bowen, not texastrong 12 or Wetzel). A newspaper's correction/retraction (or, in this day and age, a retraction Tweet) never gets the attention the initial accusation does (or as many re-Tweets).

So stupid for it to not be 8 teams minimum. Look at the other classifications of college football and then explain with a straight face why D1 only has a shitty 4 team playoff? One that does not even represent all of the 5 major conferences. And last year, 2 of them were not represented. You win your conference in D1, that should mean something. And no, not some glorified scrimmage (non playoff bowl game).

Shorten the season back to 10 games. And have a 12-16 team playoff. Most of the non conference games are bullshit anyways and a waste of time.

i'd rather not take an NFL fan's opinion on how to improve college football

Tech actually can do lots of good uniforms. Either red or black jersey with white pants.  White jersey with black pants.    and either red helmets like the Spike Dykes era or white helmets.  Black double T on black helmet just doesn’t make sense.

But the silly art school shit and the Oakland Raiders-starter-kit crap need to go.

You can say pretty much the same thing about Okie Lite.

I agree about Tech's options. I think black helmet/red jersey/white pants at home is a good look, as are black/black/gray (pre-Leach? Spike Dykes era?) and black/black/red. I don't personally like an all-black at home but I can see where they'd want to do that. On the road, black/white/white is their best look; black/white/black is also good.

I don't like any of their helmets besides black, and I don't like doubling up red (red jersey/red pants). The Lone Star stuff is the Aggiest thing they've ever done. Trying way too hard.

what climate are you referencing? It sounds like you've already made a decision on this movie based on nothing at all, what climate are you in?

You can argue whether or not "the climate" should or will influence the critical evaluation of the movie, but you have to be an idiot to ask "what climate" given the way Ghostbusters and The Last Jedi were received and discussed.

Yeah. I don't think I have ever been less happy about winning a freaking conference championship as I was after that Nebraska game. That was not a fun season.

Did we even have 400 yards of offense combined in the OU and Nebraska games? They must have had nine losses between them that year but we made their defenses look like the Steel Curtain.

i think they realized how thrilled B12 schools were to be done with them and they decided to create their false narrative of being hospitable little rednecks.

No. They've always claimed that their fans were super-special super-gracious/friendly/polite hosts. It is no more or less true than it was fifty years ago, but it has been a staple of delusional Aggie behavior for decades.

I've always liked that they claim to be the nicest, most polite hosts while also claiming Kyle Field is an unusually intimidating place to play.

  8. I still really like the whole "his Dad is an Aggie, he committed to A&M, he transferred to OU, but he totally took his official visit to UT in good faith and not just to jerk people around and play the big shot" article from last week. Fuck him and fuck the fuckstick that wrote it.

If they said that, they are retarded. I don’t want to accidentally praise Kyler by even comparing him to the greats, but remember that 17 year old kids once had to try to tackle Earl Campbell.  Switzer said he could have played in the NFL already.

This could be a fun topic. Even though he went to A&M and had his career ruined by Bear Bryant, Kenneth Hall ran for 11,000 fucking yards in high school, at a time when teams threw about 15 passes if they were in a fruity mood. I don't really think some midget kid throwing a bunch of TD passes in a spread offense compares.

Earl Campbell is probably the best example in that you could stick him in a football game in 1940, 1970, or 2020, and he'd be the best player on the field.

What made me laugh as well as one of them said they have never seen a faster qb than him.  Mike Vick and vince seem to be distant memories I guess....or Joel took too many hits to the head.

THAT was Gus. I was shaking my head at that, too. No QB was faster than Vick.

  11. I was baffled when I heard either Gus Johnson or Joel Klatt refer to Murray as either the "best" or "greatest" player in Texas HS FB history on the broadcast yesterday. Is he really even in the top ten?
