Why does anyone on this thread give a shit about the Harvard vs Yale game?
I don't think it makes you look clever to pretend to be obtuse

Why? Shit is about as lopsided as you can get for any rivalry.
you are probably younger than VABuckeye

Penn State, assuming that Southern Cal fell behind them. There's a chance that the Trojans would have stayed ahead of them.
We would have done unholy and borderline illegal things to Penn State.
might have been a pretty ugly game, they had the defense to gum up the works but they didn't have the playmakers on offense to do anything against our defense
I think it probably would have looked like the Miami-Nebraska Rose Bowl, or maybe the USC-Penn State Rose Bowl after the 2008 season, where the better team could have won by a ton but the first string O/D was more interested in looking for hot chicks in the stands in the 2nd half than building its lead

Someone refresh my memory, who would we have played if USC had dropped to Fresno St?

Coaches always say “well they have always worked out of the gun in high school” that’s just BS. It’s not hard to learn to take a direct snap from center
along with "we don't have a QB sneak in the playbook", this is one of the dumbest things I hear coaches say

in watching those highlights, Stephen McGee... quintessential Aggie. there's tough and then there's stupidly leaning into hits helmet-first

"In case you forgot how amazing 2005 was..."
Is this a thing that happens to people?
Interesting so many of you felt like the OU game was won when Pittman scored to make it 24-6. I thought it was over when Jamaal scored on that 80-yd run to make it 14-6 because I really didn't think that OU could outscore us by 8 points the rest of the way no matter what. I certainly didn't think they had a prayer in hell by the time it was 17-6.
But the TD catch was cathartic, for sure, because that's when I felt like we were going to fucking shitstomp them as opposed to winning like 31-15.

White tele the goto..or last played
Depends on what I'm playing... Tele and Strat are in Open G (the Strat has higher action, I can't really play slide on the Tele), SG is in Open D, the rest are in standard

This is a fallacy. CFP is young. There was a 2 loss BCS title winner and plenty of 2 loss teams over the years that threw their hat in the ring.
We will almost assuredly get a 2 loss team in the CFP before too long
One, using the 2007 season as a benchmark for anything is a stretch. Two, if Big Ten champ and perpetual media darling Ohio State didn't do it last year, it's never going to be easy and this year's A&M team is in no position to do it since they lost two of the three biggest games they'll play.
They could win out, stomp LSU, and still not get close.

Does aggy think they have a shot at the CFP?
well, no two-loss team has ever made the playoff, and A&M's two best chances at resume-building wins (Alabama and Clemson) are in their rearview mirror, and A&M still has to play what will probably be a top-ten LSU team and they've never beaten LSU since joining the SEC and A&M's best win is over what will eventually be an unranked Kentucky team...
but yes of course they do

I'm not a huge fan of the perpetual locked-in bowl slotting. We've been to the Alamo Bowl plenty (even one Texas Bowl appearance is too many). I don't care if it's technically more prestigious than the Holiday Bowl, if we can't get into the playoff or a NY6 bowl, I'd rather go to the Holiday Bowl than the Alamo again.
Hopefully that will end up moot. I wasn't enthused with the performance against Baylor, but there's no reason this team can't at least get to the conference championship rematch/game.

longing for the "good times"l
picking up a drink because you long for the "good times" is like trying to be an eight-year old again. the clothes don't fit, the desk's too small, someone else lives in the house you grew up in, and you don't have anything in common with the people

I would give Shaka another year to prove himself given that latest setback. So another three years before we can really say whether he's the right coach for Texas. After all look at Coach K.

People with three or more "VOTE FOR _____" signs in their yard when all of the signs are for candidates from the same party. Just put a "VOTE STRAIGHT TICKET FOR MY TEAM LIKE I'M GONNA DO!" sign up and be done with it.
