We already do Thunderstruck for every hoops game at Moody, complete with orange LED lights and phone lights.

I like Thunderstruck because of the repeated mention of, “Texas,” which offers the opportunity for fan participation, but I’m open to other options.

While I've never been a fan of that chant, doing it to any of the hateful 8 schools that we just boatraced seems appropriate.

It needs to stop after we actually play in the SEC though, fuck that lame redneckery.

How about if we just chant, “Big 12 Sucks!”?

I will NEVER do the SEC chant other than in an ironic context, like, say, after winning the conference in our first year… but probably not even then.

I knew this would be like dropping a grenade into Surly and fully expect the arguing to take this thread to infinity and beyond. With that said, I didn't rate Banks/Scott because it's too difficult at this point. Multiyear NFL veteran vs a guy who might be best ever. Same with Campbell Dockery. NFL player vs a guy with tremendous potential.  Agree on Xaiver ending up better than Sweed. I'm just punishing him for last year.  I fully expect him to recover.  Sweed was a 2 year and done NFL dude.

So he had to redshirt. X was the day one best WR on the team. This is not even close, drops or no drops. Sweed was big and he benefitted from open passing lanes due to the freak throwing him the ball.

EGAT just did a breakdown of the LB position. Waddlington and Boyd are bullish on Gbenda while acknowledging his shortcomings. Scipio saw improvement from '21 to '22 and made the case that the trend should continue, especially in coverage. He noted that Gbenda may still be playing "wait and see" against the run (rather than being proactive), but that is still better than his strategy of "run around randomly" from 2021.

Remember, Ford wasn't shit until he was.

Man, you were able to listen to that? The only thing worse than reading Ian Boyd is listening to that boring-ass son-of-a-bitch. Didn’t they used to play recordings of him at Guantanamo when the water boarding didn’t work? Thanks for taking one for the team and falling on that grenade, you masochist.

I will never forget the close up shots of Suh sending Chris Hall and Michael Huey flying out of the screen like he was swatting a fly on his way to chasing Colt around in the backfield. I have never seen anything like that since.

I was in the cheap seats and there were times I was afraid either Hall or Huey was going to land on me.

you mean the interior DL that was a Heisman finalist and finished 4th in the Heisman voting, won the AP CFB POY (first and only defensive player ever to win that award), Nagurski Trophy, Bednarik Award, Lombardi Award, Outland Trophy and was a unanimous All American before going #2 in the NFL draft? that guy?

Yeah, that guy. Our line was a disaster, regardless, but his game against us probably got him half those votes. We had no running game without Colt scrambling. Our pass game had to be quick all year because we had no pass pro. We were straight ass up front. We weren’t much better in 08.

Actually both ‘dominant’ and ‘dominate’ are correct. It goes back to the Latin dominor, a deponent verb. It has passive forms (like the pp dominatus) that have active meaning. And then we have the expected active participial forms that give us the more customary -ant ending.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe “deviant” and “deviate” are similar. I only know this because the word “deviate” is used in the criminal codes in phrases such as, “deviate sexual behavior.” It used to irritate the hell out of me.

It sounds like Moore and Niblett showed up ready to go. I'm used to us having like 13 WRs on the roster and about four of them being good. We have the opposite this year. Eight on scholarship, I think, and they're all gonna play.

I believe that was one of Sark’s goals when he got here.

As pilots we always said how do you know if someone is a Naval Aviator? Because he will immediately tell you!

Reminds me of the one about never asking a man where he’s from. If he’s from Texas, he’ll tell you. If he’s not, you don’t want to embarrass him.

The Mom is a teacher, and it nevers occurs to these jack wagons that maybe the family doesn't want hikm going to a shitty school like LSU?  Hate to say it but they have a lot of aggy in them.

Seriously! I just want to take those idiots by the hand and point them to any list of college rankings that ever existed and say, “if you’ll just peruse these lists, you’ll see why your coaches gave little to no pursuit. They learned education was important to the young man, and they moved on, as that’s one of the things your school does not offer.” I’m pretty sure both McKinley and the coaches are only interacting to placate the locals. They may not know where he’s going, but they know it ain’t LSU.
