This is more 2026 than 2025, but the thought is that Turntine is going to scare off any other highly ranked OT prospects from also signing with Texas. Ojo is one of several answers given when this has come up.

We need tackles. So Flood needs to have magic and find someone lower ranked that he really likes and can transform into a high quality starter eventually.

I’m kind of ambivalent about Flood. I see the growth with some of the guys that you cited and I feel really positive. Then I think about Conner and Majors attempting to run block or Campbell looking like he has less than 2 synapses firing and I get concerned.

Guys who’ve played OL whom I trust have expressed concerns over the product on the field, especially in the running game.

Obviously what we are currently trotting out there far exceeds what we put on the field going back to the early 2000s, but looking at other schools’ ability to displace opposing DL, we still leave a bit to be desired.

I’m not qualified to pinpoint the exact issue. Maybe it’s personnel, and maybe it’s coaching. Hard to believe it’s personnel, given the number of guys on the roster.

That said, Flood is a hell of a recruiter, and his players love him, so I’m not trying to run him off. I do think it might be helpful to bring on more analysts and coaches who can identify the issues and address them, though.

Come on down Mr. Knowles. We are so back!

On one hand, I don’t want him at OU because he’s an elite DC who’s given Sark trouble in the past.

On the other hand, he will either keep BV in Norman a little longer or get sent packing when BV gets canned.

Not sure which scenario I prefer. Probably option A.

I can’t figure out which Scrooge is my favorite. I really like the classic George C. Scott version from the early 80’s. Then there’s Mickey’s Christmas Carol. I played Ebenezer in that version in 5th grade. Scrooged is really well done and Bill Murray is excellent. Then there’s Spirited, which I highly recommend.

    No Albert Finney? Good afternoon!

Oklahoma might take a long ass time to ever dig out- if they are ever able to scrape together money to win in the nil world. They could be wrecked with this and SEC added competition. Hate to see it.

I hope it takes them as least as long as it took us. It seems like a great time for all the Sooners who’ve forgotten the post-Switzer era (which is most of them) to have a sequel to that little period in the wilderness.

I’m not going to subject myself to reading S2Y posts in order to find/quote the post, but the fact it was difficulty watching the games due to hallucinations that made someone reflect on their drug use is fucking hilarious

No kidding. It wasn’t the divorce or the loss of his furry best friend. Perhaps an inventory of priorities would be prudent. I have to say, I could not have been less shocked to discover this dude had a major drug problem.

Calling my shot ...no matter where Fasusi goes, I predict he will be in the portal in 2 years.

I've watched his Hudl like a dozen times trying to see what everyone else seems to see and I just don't get it.  He's basically standing in his stance.  Why?  I'm guessing that he either lacks good knee bend or he's slow to getting out of a 3-point stance.  So, he either gets bull rushed if he's standing or gets run around in a 3-point stance.

I get why Texas is after him, but I've never really cared one way or the other about getting him.  I'm way more bummed about losing Mills and his mean streak ...although I think he's a guard long-term.

I think they (Mills and Fasusi) may both be guards. But I haven’t watched a ton of either in pass pro.

You really think that UCLA won’t be winning the B1G in 2 years if this is what’s required?

You do NOT want to get in an Asian Poon War with UCLA.

This has to be incorporated into a new thread title. I’ll offer “Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Calls and Asian Poon Wars,” but I’m sure one of you clever bastards can top it.

  8. I got this text from my brother in law who went to Okie light and hates OU almost as much as I do:

“So we are on Fall Break and I’m hanging out with Everly.  She decided she wanted to go eat at BWW (she likes it, not just me).  So we sit down and I notice a replay of the Red River Rout is playing off in the corner.  Then I see an ou hat in the restaurant.  I asked the lady manager when she walked by if we could put it on the big tv.  She responded “you know it’s not live, right?”  I quickly said, “Sure do!”  She changes the TV comes back in and loudly says, “Got the replay on for you.”   The ou fan is as red as his hat.
I might have to fight my way out of here…”

Just turned off the rewatch at halftime.

Playing against Brent will be fun while it lasts….another, maybe 2 (but doubtful) years.

It’s almost like, it’s not really fun beating up on a cripple?

Fuck that. It's a fucking blast.

Someone needs to make a gif of the Naked Gun scenes where OJ is in traction and keeps getting folded in two or when he gets shoved down the stadium bleachers in a wheelchair and superimpose BV’s face on it. Or the OU logo. Naked Gun GIF
