He’s probably never going to be the facilitator Pop hopes he’ll be, but damn it if he isn’t one of the best defenders in the league at his position already. Kid works his ass off.

Should be fine.  Its not like TP was a great distributor either.  Assuming we keep kawhi, much of the offense will run through him and LA.

Lol. A camry? He really thought he could make it?  I actually saw some dumbass try the same thing down the steps right outside dkr at san jac and 21st.  A few weeks later they put in some pylons or something.

Soak it all in.  Sure the RiverWalk will be packed but that's part of the Final Four experience.  Pop into different places for a drink.  Someone mentioned Floore Store.  Nah, sorry to disagree, as someone else mentioned it will probably be more packed than downtown.  Midtown mentioned Alamo Brewery and Pearl.  These two plus Southtown for changes of pace.  But again, I would just hang around the River, Convention Center,  including Alamo Street where the live music is.  There is a reason San Antonio has hosted several large events.

Floores is probably 45 minutes from downtown anyways.  You can also take the river barges as sort of a water taxi to get up and down rhe riverwalk.

  4. Ive been using an old android phone with a sd card, and an app called autoguard.  Its works but not great.  Main thing is I have to turn the phone off when I park for more than an hour or so or the battery drains.  Leaving it in the hot car im sure does the battery no favors.  So then it takes a minute or two to boot up, then I have to start the app.

So ive actually been looking at buy a dedicated dashcam, but sort of am waiting for the phone to finally crap out.

  5. Oh, since OP seems to be deciding between a cross or road bike, you can ask the shop to figure out the biggest tires that will fit on athe road frame.  Itll differ for sure.  But again, dont spend an extra $200 on a cross bike for the larger tires, if you know larger tires will fit on a cheaper road bike.  If you like the inline cross brake levers, see how much it's be to get those installed.

If you're an old man just go ahead and get a hybrid with a front and seat post shock. :D

  6. Here my thoughts.  Dont get it stuck in your mind which brands are "better".  A shop that sells specialized is probably going to tell you specialized is the best.  Same for a shop that sells trek.  And a shop may only sell a handful of different brands.

But for the most part a bike company makes the frames and that's it.  And most of the frames are made in china or Japan, sometimes different brands are made in the same factory.  Then ask yourself how many times you've had a frame break, or heard of one breaking.  Almost never.  Point being, unless you are looking at cutting edge tech, and at your budget you're not, the name on the sticker doesnt matter.

Components are where you want to focus your attention.  Components do break, or need adjusting.  Learn the different "gruppo" levels.  learn the different aluminum types that bars and stems are made from.  Look at how much swapping parts would be in relation to the price difference in the entire bike.  Meaning dont spend $200 more on a bike because you like the saddle when you can buy that saddle for $50.  Same with tires.

Unless you're a pro, don't worry about weight.  Easiest and cheapest way to drop weight from your bike is for the rider to lose weight.  But if you are going to go down that path, look for lighter wheels.  Less rotational mass will make the bike feel snappier.

Tldr: shop around, dont worry about brands, at your price there are no shitty options, so get the best bike you are comfortable with.

  7. If they were smart they'd make them fall apart in five years so people have to re-up.  Or more seriously, they could always expand to licensing sports logos and colors so every fan can have their teams cooler.
