So, Jemele Hill is still an idiot. Cool.
What's slightly surprising is that there are so many other idiots with public platforms who think that either a) Moore would have gotten a second chance if he were white, or b) Moore has let down the black community with his actions.
Maybe this is just one guy who's getting karma for his choices? Maybe it isn't automatically racism every time a black person gets punished for something? Maybe it isn't setting an entire race back every time one dude gets caught with his dick out? Maybe the fact that the media thinks his blackness has anything to do with this story is part of the problem?
We can't even enjoy a good old-fashioned career-suicide-by-undefeated-pussy story in this country anymore.
You old fucks get baited so easily by the troll sphere, which is exactly why they keep doing what they are doing.

What if I already own Hell or High Water in my Prime Library
You don’t own anything in your digital library. You have a digital license to stream so long as the applicable corporate overlord has the rights to the product.

After the announcement, they throw a hissy fit and make this hostile takeover offer to try and outbid the auction that they didn't win. Seems really dumb, I hope they lose.
They would say that they did in fact win the auction and the WBD board chose poorly. In other words, that Paramount’s all cash $30/share offer is better for WBD’s shareholders compared to an offer comprised of $23.50/share, some Netflix stock and some spinco stock. And that Paramount’s deal presents more closing certainty from a regulatory perspective. So now WBD’s shareholders can choose.

Is Lanning on the hot seat if he doesn’t natty with Moore? That’ll be 2 NFL QBs in a row with no natty 😩😩
You dummy, everyone is on the hot seat!
13-3 (conference champion, final 4, top 5 recruiting class), 12-2 (conference runner up, final four, number 1 recruiting class), 9-3 (no playoffs, top 10 recruiting class) = HoT sEaT

I am really surprised Neto isn't in the portal. I know his brother is on the team, but losing your presumptive starting spot to Connor Stroh, and then to a true freshman who quite literally could not pass block, has to be one of the biggest slaps in the face imaginable.

First CD was Oasis (What's The Story) Morning Glory. I was 7 years old, liked Wonderwall on the radio, and demanded my parents buy it
I think my first cassette was Matchbox 20 Yourself or Someone Like You. Again, I was 7, so cut me some slack. Not sure why I insisted on a CD for Oasis and a cassette for this one
First LP was much later in life. Pet Sounds for about $5 at half price books in Dallas
Can't be 100% sure on first download, but probably Horse With No Name by Neil Young, Walkin in Memphis by Bruce Springsteen, or Mrs. Robinson by The Beatles.

Texas was not outbid for Fasusi. The guy didn't want to come to Texas. He thought Norman was a cooler place to be. Hell, for all we know, he was right for his interests. It's not like he's not playing up there. He was named freshman AA, but he had a terrible fucking season. Every game I watched, the guy was getting blown up and committing what seemed like multiple penalties. I'm sure he'll improve significantly because the talent is there - should he want to work to improve.
In any event, the premise that Texas was tight on its NIL efforts with Fasusi is false. That was a recruiting win for Bedenbaugh and Venables.
Ok, fair enough.

He started with the players he’s recruited the last four years. How the fuck does that earn him leeway?
For me, he’s earned a modicum of leeway due to some of the development seen in the first few years, particularly Christian Jones (who I remember being a complete fucking liability before Flood got here). Goosby as well, and I think Baker really improved throughout the season.
The interior line recruiting post-pancake factory appears to be a complete disaster. Certainly no defense to that, except I get the sense that Sark has not been as loose with the purse string on the offensive line as he has with the defensive line (eg, being outbid for Fasusi and Ojo, although each of those are tackles).
It’s also true that good offensive line coaches do have shit output from time to time. For example, Ohio State’s line was pretty terrible last year with a ton of rotation until they finally found a lineup that worked in the playoffs.
All that to say, I’ll be perfectly happy if we cut him loose and can upgrade, but I understand why he could get another season to work it out.

Yes, it's a loan. The equity referenced is limited to ownership of future cash flows, so it is absolutely a loan. A public university is not going to put up ownership of assets, because they can't. That would take a legislative act.
I don’t have first handle knowledge of this deal, but I’d tend to agree that it is loan-like, although as a technical matter it reads more like a pref equity instrument than a debt instrument to me (which would be preferred from Utah’s perspective). Share in distributions of free cash flow during life of investment, with a put/call feature in 5-7 years that has price protections for both sides.
“As for Utah’s partnership, in exchange for the upfront cash, Otro will earn a large percentage of annual revenues generated from Utah Brands & Entertainment as it splits funds with the university. An exit strategy — in five to seven years — exists, and the university holds the right to purchase Otro’s ownership stake”

sorry, baby. streaming on HBO. Odd to say this about a movie centered around a heavy topic, but I found this movie really funny and at times a delight to watch. One of my favorite scripts of the year.

For people only following this thread for roster moves. Vaya con Dios, Anthony. Thanks for the memories
Easily the best inside linebacker we’ve had since DJ. Pretty shocking how mediocre we’ve been at that position this century.

IT posted some more portal/NFL notes this morning:
-Expect Tre Wisner back at this time. Simon and Clark are expected to return but not a 100% lock.
-Most likely Jaime Ffrench will be back. Aaron Butler is likely gone. "We’re interested to see how DeAndre Moore’s agent plays his hand."
-Would be surprised if Will Randle returned
-Expecting Trevor Goosby back at this time
-"Very likely" Hero Kanu will return. Watching Melvin Hills for a potential exit.
-At corner, they are watching Wardell Mack, Kobe Black, Santana Wilson and Caleb Chester
-"We believe it’s increasingly likely Jelani McDonald will return"
- Derek Williams and Johnson-Rubell are the two safeties they are monitoring
Getting Goosby and McDonald back would be huge for next year. I’d like to see Kobe Black come back as well.
I’m a little surprised about Ffrench. I assumed he was the guy who folks have alluded to being out the door.

I am 100% on board with this. I want the guys leaving to enjoy a trip to Disney world and have some popcorn on the sideline during the game. I want to see all the players expected to contribute in 2026 on the field. I would not tell the guys leaving not to play, but I am not going to persuade them to suit up. This is basically a 2026 preseason game in my eyes.
Generally on board with this, except I’d like DJ Campbell, Robertson and Hutson all to play so Arch doesn’t die.

Visited in laws in New Orleans for Thanksgiving. Came out of my hotel bedroom to find my 3 year old son on the floor in the living area surrounded by a mound of plastic wrappers he’d taken off of every single snack jar in the mini bar (without eating anything). The bill came in. Turns out the four seasons is neither forgiving nor cheap when it comes to breaking the the seal on the mini bar (the four mini bottles of makers mark, sure, I’ll cop to that).

??? Miami has one less loss than you. Plus, Louisville is 8-4. Florida is 4-8. Even if you give Florida credit for an extra couple wins because SEC SEC SEC this argument is still bankrupt.
You’re engaging with a stupid person, no point in trying. The Alabama example with FSU is even more obvious, but not worth it.

The loss to Florida is what's keeping us out of the CFP, not the loss to Ohio State.
If you are still spouting this mouth breathing nonsense, you are either a stupid person (and I’m genuinely sorry if that’s the case), or a willfully ignorant person (in which case, fuck you). It’s been disproven on multiple threads in painstaking detail.

Keeping BYU in to get death star'd by Oregon would be a real donkey show. JMU or Duke will be the same.
I get it, you want to reward teams for winning their conference. Just didn't think too hard about there being a bunch of sisters of the poor conferences that are not playing D-1 level football
BYU is eliminated. The last two spots will be Tulane and one of either JMU or Duke. The real cut off is 10.
-
My prediction:
1. Indiana
2 Georgia
3. Ohio St
4. Tech
5. Oregon
6. Ole Miss
7. A&M
8. OU
9. Notre Dame
10. Bama
11. Miami
12. BYU
(JMU over Duke)

Lighten up Francis. Everybody knows we are elite in the NIL game. Apparently it isn’t helping our OL and DL HS recruiting. It would be nice to recruit well at those positions and just backfill portal guys when necessary. One DL this year (is Carlton an edge or DL?) when we had 4-5 at one point is an issue.
We signed an elite DL class just last year.

Loved it, and yet somehow his second best movie of the year. Blue Moon is tremendous (although also geared towards the ball knowers).
Guy who played Godard nailed it
