I mean I've been sunshine pumping for next year but 12-2 is not the floor lol
#2 is a ranking that initially makes you recoil because of the losses Texas is taking with Sweat-Murphy-Ford on defense and with all of its pass catchers on offense. Then you look at what has already been done in the portal, retaining Alfred Collins, recruiting, etc. and see it is probably survivable. And then you look at what other top programs are losing and all of a sudden you're back around to Texas being right there.
But yeah - floor? Easy enough to see Texas lose at Michigan and lose to Georgia. We avoided a signature Sark head scratcher this year, not a guarantee that happens again. While Texas should be favored, OU is pretty much always a tossup and any of the four November games jump out as a plausible place for a wtf loss. To me I think the floor is 8-4. I think they'll be better than that but it's within the realm of possibility.
Very reasonable take, although 4 losses would be extremely disappointing with our schedule and Quinn/almost our entire offensive line returning. Our interior defensive line will take a step down from all world, but I expect our edge and secondary should be improving. How quickly can the new pass catchers adapt?
Michigan will obviously be a good, top 10 team in an unfriendly environment, but it feels a little like Ohio St coming into Austin in 06. They lose a ton, and that should be a very winnable game for us.
Georgia is Georgia, and we’ll need to play our absolute best to win.
Will be favored against OU, @Ark, and @A&M, but that’s a really tough three games to sweep.
We should riot if we lose any other game on our schedule.

Nice another top 5 AP finish.
Not that it matters, but I suspect Georgia, Texas and Alabama will be the top 3 in some order to start next year.

Suggest a double feature of Oppenheimer followed by Threads for a nice, light evening.

I mean, I remember when we signed Ben Davis and Ray Thornton, so I don’t have to be too imaginative.

Not reading thread, but I’m not totally sure Sydney Sweeney can act. Maybe that’s partially because I’m too busy picking my jaw up off the floor from staring at her body (I beg you to watch the terrible movie, Voyeurs), but it’s tough sledding at times. Nevertheless, I applaud all her efforts.

Still watching the portal over the coming days, especially at WR. Feels like something is going to shake loose and possibly (likely) Texas' way.
Apparently it was mentioned elsewhere that U of H DT Ja'Maree Caldwell is back in play. That's funny timing because I heard that today after the Houston Lunch Bunch, but not from one of my main sources. I'm checking for further details on that one.
Caldwell's not a world beater but he would upgrade the roster at a position of need.Wow, would you look at that. Bobby Burton reports something, and then Nahlin magically hears the same thing from one of his totally real and not fabricated sources. That is funny timing indeed.

I thought Saltburn was a pretty bad movie, but I was a freshman in 06 so that playlist hit me.

The biggest shithead in all this is McAfee. This shows that he has no business even on a pissy network like ESPN. He needs to go back to YouTube or wherever he was.
I feel like such a barstool-level bottom feeder for saying this, but I’ve actually come around to McAfee on game day. His LANK interruption last Saturday and what followed was gold, and the Georgia/Bama song bit from the SEC championship weekend was pretty good too. Now I’m going to go take a shower.

Joe Rogan? I guess I would need to follow this stuff more closely to know why he matters here. I thought this was a Rodgers/Kimmel thing?
In any event, since you brought him up, I don’t know if Rogan was on The Man Show or not. Never watched it. I do know that he was funny on News Radio and not funny with his stand up. I know he triggers people on the left because he doesn’t toe lines on his podcast or whatever. I also know that people taking their cues from him or finding validation in their thoughts from him are as sure a sign of the apocalypse as all of the idiots taking their cues from Kimmel or the other mediocre comics who are suddenly today’s Cronkites on late night tv.
I generally and genuinely despise all of it.
Genuinely curious because I don't watch late night talk shows, but is there a large contingent of people taking serious/political cues from Jimmy Kimmel? Isn't he just a late night tv host like Fallon and the like? I assume he just makes fun of the easiest targets, which, yeah, I guess could lead to a political bent in recent years.
As for Rodgers, the guy is a clown and has been since his Cal days. Seeing this H Town dork spin out of control over Rodgers is hilarious.
As for Rogan, I don't recall listening to a second of his content, so he could be a genius for all I know. I do know that of the people in my life who claim to be a fan (which, admittedly, is like 4 people from my rural Texas upbringing), they are complete fucking morons.

Amazing job this season, and the trajectory of the program is without a doubt pointing up.
As for last night, I don’t attribute the loss to some glaring coaching failure. Sure there were questionable decisions, but Washington was built to exploit our one weakness and they absolutely balled out. Hat tip, and get ready for next season.

FUCK. Love this team. Didn’t really deserve to be in it in the end but I’ll remember this season fondly.

Well shit. Amazing season. Frustrating ending, but Washington is a really good team. The wandering through the desert is over.

We are going 6-6 next year if we’re lucky. The SEC is gonna be a massive wake up call for this shitty coaching staff.
Jesus fucking Christ you’re consistently one of the worst posters on this site. Change your personality and try again.

Just take a look at the NYT thread on the football board. A few hours before the biggest game in 14 years, it’s a right wing circle jerk outside of the CR by posters like ChickenNuggets complaining in this thread about the CR. ChickenNuggets and posters like him don’t hate political discussions. They hate political discussions that don’t conform to their own political beliefs.

In somewhat fairness to Penix, I believe he was responding to Sweat saying that Washington is just another offensive line to him despite them winning the Joe Moore award. I’m sure their fans are all jerking each other off to that quote just like this board.

Content generation may be down but there’s enough to make a great weekly video that algorithms would filter to the young demo and get more of them to engage.
Personally I think you guys are off with this goal. This site is full of middle aged dads making middle aged dad “content”. That shit isn’t funny or compelling to young people regardless of the format. Best bet is to siphon off other middle aged dads from IT, 247, OB, etc.

The Holdovers. Not very good, but an easy enough watch with parents around Christmas.
