  1. Yeah, I really don't see how the league could have been more accommodating, short of having different schools that made more money. The schools in the conference have done everything they possibly can to keep Texas happy.
  2. I'm curious how you believe the Big 12 was giving the middle finger to Texas. They allowed unequal revenue sharing for a very long time when all other conferences split revenue equally. They allowed schools to keep all tier 3 revenue and allowed Texas to have their own network when no other conference would have even considered that. Frankly, the biggest anti-Texas voices in the conference bailed, and now Texas is leaving to rejoin one of them. Texas has been kneecapping themselves competitively all on their own.
  3. This isn't a reboot of Scooby Doo. It's a show dedicated to mocking Scooby Doo.
  4. TCU will still be TCU, even if they win. Georgia will regularly get recruits that Texas wants. TCU won't.
  5. I don't understand how anyone could watch TCU play Michigan and still believe that Michigan is bigger and more physical up front. I don't know who is bigger, but TCU completely dominated the LOS.
  6. Yeah, Deuce has commercial money, merchandise sales, and a deal that lets him drive a Porsche around Manhattan. I could see NIL pulling non-skill position players from mid-level programs to blue bloods, but I really don't see standout stars leaving.
  7. Honestly, I wouldn't put it past the Gaetz crew to intentionally cast just the right amount of votes for McCarthy to create a tie if they went to a plurality vote. It wouldn't be hard to do, given that the vote doesn't have many hard and fast rules and you can change votes after the initial count.
  8. None of the 20 holdouts are going to admit to the McCarthy camp that they would change their vote. It's going to take a leap of faith to go for a plurality vote.
  9. On the 13th vote, JFK Jr. will get nominated. He won't win then, but he will eventually prevail and only then will he reveal himself. At that point, even the democrats will be true believers and they will all fall in line to impeach Biden and Kamala, then install Jr. Trump will be appointed vice president.
  10. The magas are better off allowing Jeffries to win than dealing with McCarthy at this point. He's not going to forget this embarrassment. Plus, they will always have enough votes to recall Jeffries.
  11. Jeffries winning would be funny, but the Rs would get their shit together enough to recall him within a week, and then still not be able to get anyone elected.
  12. Yeah, he's out there looking like losing 6 times in 2 days is his fetish.
  13. Just 5. It's amazing that they keep voting, like McCarthy is going to swing 15 votes. Even if he changes the rules so a single member can call for his removal, he's not going to get 15 of them on his side.
  14. The voting is rigged. The nominee is supposed to negotiate, give concessions, and make promises to secure enough votes to ensure victory. McCarthy is the first dumbass in 100 years to not be able to do that before his first ballot.
  15. The games you win matter more than the games you lose. Winning a national championship is better than winning a conference championship, but if TCU loses to Georgia, they didn't win anything. And I agree that the Big 12 championship game is pointless, but we only have the game because of TCU, so it's hard to feel sorry for them.
  16. I think NIL and the transfer portal might actually be helping mid-sized P5 programs. They weren't beating blue bloods for recruits before, and now they can be an attractive destination for former high level recruits who aren't seeing the field.
  17. SEC fatigue is very powerful and very real.
  18. I'd like their odds a lot more against Ohio State, but TCU is certainly capable of beating Georgia.
  19. TCU can run the ball and Michigan can't.
  20. Michigan is going to have to get a turnover and also figure out how to pick up a blitz to get back into the game.
  21. Michigan just doesn't look very good. TCU has been better up front.
  22. Michigan probably would have a loss or two in any other conference but the ACC.
  23. Nobody with any desire to coach for more than 4 years should take a job at an FBS program with semi-recent success that doesn't take transfers in the portal era.
  24. He could be a long snapper. Nobody can hit the long snapper. They make kickers look tough.
  25. He has no reason to let them go early. Every compromise offered to date would be a net loss to the conference.
