  1. Probably was talking to this guy: https://247sports.com/player/jaren-kanak-46102946/ Hays is rural enough.
  2. I started to post something making fun of him, but then I thought that it kind of looks like maybe it's burn damage or something and I didn't want to be an asshole about that. Is it burn damage?
  3. It's possible that both Cincinnati and OSU make the playoff this year, though.
  4. What if Riley is a little bitch?
  5. Colorado used to be a very good program. It's hard to believe, but it's true.
  6. Venables would be a home run hire for a middle of the road program who can't afford a sure thing. He seems like a pretty big risk for a program like OU who can go get a sure thing. That said, I thought Tom Herman at Texas was a sure thing and I also thought Lincoln Riley didn't make much sense when OU hired him.
  7. A bunch of programs have this happen to them every single offseason. The only thing unique in this case is that it's happening to OU.
  8. I haven't met very many of them, but I am willing to bet that if in 2024, Lincoln Riley has averaged 9 wins per season and won the Pac 12 one time, he's not on the hot seat.
  9. It's why leaving was by far the best decision he could have made. He's not winning the SEC regularly the way he did the Big 12. He can do that at USC, but at this point USC would be thrilled to death to win the PAC once every 3 or 4 years. He gets lower expectations, an easier path to national championships, and a ceiling that is just as high as at OU. He also gets more money on top of that.
  10. Texas got a lot better players and a lot more prestige and pollster love when they were winning 10-12 games every year vs barely getting to .500 in a typical season. Texas will still be a preseason top 25 team next year playing in the Big 12. I'm not sure how much more love the pollsters could possibly give you. Program matters a lot more than conference affiliation.
  11. I'm thinking Lincoln Riley is their Larry Coker.
  12. I don't really believe it's easier to win or even recruit at LSU vs OU, but I do think it might be a good idea for Riley to take that job. OU will likely start losing 2 or 3 games a lot more often in the SEC, and their fans will not be satisfied with those seasons. He should take the pay day while he can.
  13. Their uniforms actually said the singular "Jayhawk". That is the type of attention to detail that it takes to lose 10 games and beat Texas.
  14. Read up on Tennessee's last coaching search.
  15. What does it say about firing a coach before one year?
  16. I don't understand how he wasn't fired last night.
  17. These guys have "Jayhawk" on the front of their uniform. JFC.
  18. Just announce Sark's termination through the PA system.
  19. That's only because he's never been down to Kansas at halftime.
  20. This is going to end up being a 14 point win, with Leipold on suicide watch.
  21. I could be wrong here, but I believe one of the primary ways the billionaire class avoids paying taxes is by spending a lot of money buying votes and persuading poor voters with propaganda to not support policies that increase taxes on them. You can't beat a simple tax code by being smart. You either cheat the code or pay the people writing the code to loophole yourself out of it.
  22. The Illinois/Penn State game would have ended this morning by safety.
  23. I think college football should bring back the tie game under certain circumstances as a way to shame teams. Finish regulation with a 0-0 score? Fuck you, you tie. Go through 2 overtimes where both teams only get field goals? That's also a tie. 2 point conversion attempts are for teams that can score touchdowns.
  24. The thing about college football is that there aren't 25 good teams. I can't complain about a 3-0 team with lopsided wins over Stanford and Nevada being ranked 25th.
  25. Short sleeve button up shirts with ties as far as the eye can see. It might be glorious, but calling it a rivalry today seems pretty strange.
