  1. The cowboys could just fire the entire defensive staff and let the players do what the want and it would probably generate more turnovers, at least. Use that salary on the George Pickens contract extension fund.
  2. I would trade Milton for Rush in a heartbeat, when the OL is actually decent. If Milton ever has to play in a meaningful NFL game in meaningful time, defenses will make his head spin and he'll be a turnover machine.
  3. But yeah. Cooper was a terrible fit for the Ravens. He's about as opposite of Lamar as you can get. They ain't built for that shit.
  4. Virtually no defense in todays game can stop a team, unless it's a total shit team. You really can't play bend but don't break bullshit any more. It's all about pressure. You can be good against the run, but it don't mean shit if you are garbage against a bottom third qb and a few stick-em gloved fast guys. You get the qb, or the qb gets you. Fire DC Matt ElmerFudd. Bring in a modern football guy that understands.
  5. Frankly, though I'm in the minority, I'm sick of how increasingly easy it has become in the NFL to come back late, sometimes after big deficits. It has become basketball. It's so much about penalties or lack of penalties called at peak moments. Too much about 2-point conversions, that give teams an opportunity to make up for past failures. Too much about stickyass receiver gloves so you don't even need great hands to be a really productive receiver. You just need one meat-hook. Filed position and defending your end is virtually meaningless any more. Even the 60 yard field goals are routine. Maybe they should think about widening the hash marks again, or narrowing the goal posts. Big comebacks are fun. But they are too common. They were great because they were hard. It took a lot more grit and real skill and smart play. When it happened, it was really something. Now you pretty much expect it about five games a week in the NFL. Everything they do benefits the offense, even to the point where the laws of basic physics do not apply in NFL rules. Anyway, just an old fart pissing in the wind. But in this raised on video game world today, very few people really get it. It's a damn shame.
  6. Good thing trading for Kenny Clark fixed the Run defense.
  7. Carolina deserves this win. Dak and Pickens don't deserve this loss.
  8. Dowdle was signed for 2.75mil guaranteed. Him and Williams would have been a nice combo.
  9. That guy shoving Dak on that 2nd down sure could have been called.
  10. Man, I don't know about that move Pickens did at the end, looked too much like a punch for my comfort.
  11. Dak is definitely ballin' this year, and has been mostly underrated during his Cowboys career. But he's having to carry the team with this shitass defense. You don't want to be in shootouts with shitty teams every week.
  12. I think both were bogus, even as a Cowboys fan. But we've been screwed by refs enough, they dang well owe us some.
  13. I would be pissed at that roughing call. Not sure about the PI, either on a wayward pass from the qb being hit.
  14. Not sure I like the clock strategery there. Pretty risky, little chance of return.
  15. His snap usage in Green Bay is down quite a bit from his pre-injury Cowboys days. They seem to be limiting how they use him far more than Dallas did. Could still be the back issue.
  16. That was a scary takedown of Pickens. I was afraid that knee was bent wrong.
  17. Very widespread in central Texas. I see them regularly in the county. The long time birders here say it wasn't long ago that they were extremely rare here.
  18. Worst game management head coach and dumbest qb in the league is not a good combo.
  19. Sequel, a little later.
  20. Just a quikie from an upstairs window about half an hour ago and a quick edit. Forgive the little smudge on my lens at the lower edge from my greasyass fingers.
