  1. Mercenaries gonna mercenary
  2. I've got friends who are big BYU fans, so I'll happily throw their games on and pull for the Cougs. OSU and ASU are fun schools with cool alumni. And Texas Tech and Colorado showing their asses will be funny for as long as their current head coaches are in place. The rest... whatever. And fuck Baylor.
  3. Or they just replaced TCU on these lists as "local P4 school that gets in the top ten on proximity and being pretty decent"
  4. Every time I am reminded this name exists it brings joy
  5. Couple of noteworthy regional transfers
  6. Yeah I'd say we're not all fine
  7. The really wide neck hole on the t-shirt for that extra bit of chest hair is a nice touch. Real professional, I'm going to take great care of your children, vibes.
  8. Rodney Terry wholeheartedly believes that too much winning is bad for the kids
  9. Every Cal fan probably has five friends who've moved to Austin in the last ten years, let's be honest. My ND friend thought the Aggies were kind of a charming anachronism given the game was a one-off and ND won.
  10. They also lump it into the SEC group of academic laggards when it's a strong research university. Their t-shirt fans' boorishness has dragged down its reputation.
  11. Columbus has existing F500 companies, a state with lots of other big companies and very little real competition, and a monster, geographically-dispersed fanbase and alumni network.
  12. The Coinbase and Fanatics alums at Duke just bought themselves Tulane's QB for $6-8mm. They like football enough, and don't want basketball iced out of the major conferences if UNC jumps ship.
  13. They have Micah Hudson pencilled in as Jeremiah Smith 2.0. So good luck with that.
  14. We were in contact with Zach Branch but didn't want the package deal with the brother. Apparently we've sniffed around Noah Thomas as well. Sounds like we're being opportunistic as interesting names come up rather than trying to moneywhip a guy out, at least right now. More of a Best Player Available situation.
  15. That is one volatile WR room
  16. Dealing with state politics (especially in Texas) is a huge pain in the ass

He measured just shy of 6-foot-5, 295 pounds with a 34+ arm and the look of a player who could play outside or inside in the long run.
  18. https://247sports.com/longformarticle/2025-navy-all-american-bowl-all-lobby-team-headlined-by-texas-am-signee-kiotti-armstrong-243635134/#2578300 -- As noted, big receivers were a theme, and 2026 Top247 four-star Jordan Clay was one of them. In the 6-foot-3, 200-pound neighborhood, Clay possesses gigantic hands for a pass catcher at 10 1/2 inches. -- Top247 four-star junior offensive tackle Felix Ojo was one of the tallest prospects at Monday's check-in. A legitimate 6-foot-6+, Ojo weighed in the 275-pound range with arms pushing 34 inches. A strong week from Ojo could solidify his early standing as a top 30 overall prospect in the 2026 class. -- Speaking of Lone Star State 2026 Top247 four-stars, Jamarion Carlton from the CenTex region deserves a shoutout as well. Carlton, who violently finishes in the open floor during hoops season, measured 6-foot-4 1/2 and 230-plus pounds with big hands (10+) and monstrous length (36+ arm, 6-10+ wing).

Not only has he hit 21.50 seconds in the 200 meters and broken into the 49s in the 400, Phillips owns an absurd 24-foot, 7 1/2-inch long jump. So to add to that elite athletic profile, Phillips measured exceptionally well Monday: just shy of 6-foot-1, 184 pounds with 10+ hand, 34+ arm, and a 6-foot-8 1/2 wingspan. Kaliq Lockett, 2025 Top247 5-star WR, Texas signee One of the longest-framed receivers in attendance, Texas five-star signee Kaliq Lockett out of the DFW Metroplex showed up with offensive line-like length numbers, including a 33+ arm and a wingspan pushing 6-foot-7. Almost 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds, Lockett boasts enormous hands (10 1/2), which certainly aid his pass-catching abilities. Lockett caught more than 100 passes for almost 2,000 yards across his final two high school seasons.
