Yuki has shown the ability to be in the conversation for the second Red Bull seat, and doing stuff like that isn’t going to help his cause. Him thinking that he should have been given the position back after he screwed over Daniel is dumb.

    He's a fucking helmet.

Side note: through their little incident on the track, I have found that the Yuki fan base is intense. Danny calling him a helmet and then saying his actions on the cool down lap were immature have got them on fire, especially on Twitter.

Pierce’s six years have been pretty similar to the last six years of Augie, which was a drop off in the program’s historical performance. The program has slipped.

It’s no secret I have never liked Pierce as the coach. Pierce has this year and next year to demonstrate improvement, or will likely be looking for another job imo.

Eh, Augie didn’t make the postseason 3 of the last 6 with 2 being WS appearances and 1 regional. Pierce has made the postseason 5 out of 6 with 3 WS appearances, 1 super regional and 1 regional. Augie isn’t getting fired if he replaces his last 6 seasons with Pierce’s first 6 seasons.

I think the complaints about cinematography are mainly because large chunks of the movie just take place in sand. There’s not a ton to be done there. The movie is beautifully shot.

My only complaint is I wanted more time on Geidi Prime with Feyd

The desert isn’t a large color palette to work with as it is. Still, Denis and the DP did a phenomenal job at giving it life. The opening sequence was damn good in that regard.

I read where someone said that if there was one major critique of the film, it is with Geidi Prime and Feyd. Not that it was bad, but rather it was done well and everyone wanted more of it. The scale of the arena was massive and I was completely shocked. Like a futuristic gladiator on steroids. Then of course Austin Butler as Feyd stealing every scene he was in.

Appears Cal Poly is really fucking bad. Pitching is probably not as bad as this weekend, but Pierce being the pitching coach was a horrible idea from the start.

No it was actually the best idea imo. A large portion of his baseball chops comes from his knowledge of pitching. If the ship goes down with pitching being the main breaking point, then it will be because he didn’t live up to his own set standard and the writing could be on the wall as to what should happen next.

I guess I’m an outlier. Yes, the cinematography was good not great. Some of the CGI stuff looked raw. The script was weak, especially when you consider what they decided to leave out.

If you enjoyed it, awesome. I’m glad I saw it in a IMAX theater. It would have been worse on a regular screen or on a TV.

It’s all subjective in the end but BIG disagreement here for me. This movie was beautifully shot.

  6. Welp, this weekend was a wake up call for both coaches and players. One consistent aspect of Pierce’s teams, except for 2019 when they simply were not good, is their ability to navigate fork-in-the-road moments and typically find ways to win. Hopefully they don’t continue a downward trajectory after an objectively bad weekend, and we see a different team come Tuesday and into conference play.

The fact you think time on a message board is the determining factor says quite a lot.  The fact you freely and openly admitted it says even more.

But hey, it's a free country and this is just a message board, think what you want.

Man, you’re confused. No one is discounting what you know or don’t know about the game. Giving your opinion is great! Calling out everyone that disagrees with you that they know nothing and are stupid is the last thing anyone should do. Just disagree and move along.

retooling season where we’ll still be competitive that should set us up nicely to lay our cocks on the SEC

Plus NIL will be better with the transition to the sec. LSU’s NIL as a whole is average at best. Baseball got really lucky with one donor being the founder of Marucci. Without him they’re not getting Holman this year or #7 ring last year.

If you think this team isn’t extremely talented I don’t know what you’re watching or reading. Flores, JT, Gaspo, Borba, Dee, etc were all pretty big prospects

Some are getting thrusted into action quicker because 2 of our best transfer aren’t playing this season. It sucks that they’re young but the talent is visible.

I’ve been resistant but yeah I’m so done with this shit

Same. Should do both where if it’s bad then they quickly turn to a 3 second review for a more accurate call. I believe it’s in the minors?

Pierce is throwing the game away so we dont burn all our arms and lose the next two games chasing this one. If Witt gets it done, he gets it done, if not, we lose and try to win the next 2 games.

4th inning and a tied is waiving the white flag?

    Thanks for the info, chief.

Bullpen for 5-6 innings vs. bullpen for 2-3 innings.  Not at all the same.

Sure. But we could also have 2-3 guys out of the pen tonight as well if one is able to get deep. Situation is fluid and not the end of world for our pen.

  14. Easily one of the best sci-fi films I’ve ever seen and potentially a generational type film imo. Every scene hit. How Villeneuve was able to tackle complex issues such as politics and religion, and then execute it to the level he did was a master class. The cinematography was excellent but specifically in the third act he took it to another level. I’ll be seeing this at a minimum 3 times in the theater and I highly recommend seeing it in imax if possible.
