  14. Yeah, this has been litigated to death already. None of what he said is true. Russian is still widely spoken in Ukraine, their current President is one of the speakers. However, Ukraine has its own language, Ukrainian, which they feel speaks to their history more, so they passed some laws to make it the preferred language for governance. They never banned anything, BUT even if they had (which they HAVE NOT), it's none of Russia's business. Ukraine is an independent country. A better equivalence would be the US invading Mexico because its official language was Spanish, and we insist they speak English. Also, there were never any promises that NATO wouldn't expand, because they can't make that promise. The NATO charter requires a country to come to NATO itself independently to apply so long as they meet the basic requirements and MORE IMPORTANTLY consensus (i.e., unanimous) votes of all members. That means there is no "VETO" option. So for them to not allow members in would violate their entire charter.
  15. It's probably my favorite game right now. The new Charters of Commerce DLC was an awesome leap forward. I have over 430 hours so far.
  16. I'm not kidding about playing most of them. Here's a screenshot of my Steam library. That doesn't include Space Marine 1 & 2 I have on XBox, and any named differently like Blood Bow, Battlefleet Gothic, Space Hulk and Darktide (which I can screenshot too if you want):
  17. As somebody who has probably played most of them, that's a great question. I'm not really sure. The vast majority of the Warhammer games do tread on a lot of the same ground, generally being something to do with Space Marines, and the majority of them are tactics or turn-based games. The ones that went on to really sell like gangbusters are the ones who deviate from that a little. For instance, Space Marine I and II, and Boltgun are all shooters and Total War Warhammer I, II, and III are Warhammer Fantasy, not 40K. I guess what keeps people coming back is the fact that they churn out so many books each year that it also keeps the fan base engaged, and the setting allows for fairly infinite storytelling. This in spite of the fact that generally only one major event happens that ever moves the whole universe's plot forward, maybe every 4-5 years or so in real life. Maybe the answer just boils down to the same reason why people don't get burned out on all the Marvel/DC stuff. It's just cool.
  18. I chuckled at first reading this, then my mind started imagining what a shitski was, and I couldn't decide if it was like skiing on a mountain of shit, or skiing while shitting a trail behind you.
