  1. I mean you kinda said so yourself he has to be good with women, well to be specific have the PR image of being that. Leo is the only one I can think of, he is an environmentalist that backed Harris, but lives a private life. Good luck with ever recruiting him to be vocal though, after the constant vilification from the feminist movement.
  2. Cringe https://chicago.suntimes.com/columnists/2024/08/16/tim-walz-jd-vance-donald-trump-masculinity-childless-cat-lady-women-attacks-mona-charen I get the sentiment, but this is dumb. I like Tim but hoisting him as a male role model is unbelievably tone deaf.
  3. I mean I can try to paint a path and a picture, but no, nobody has scientific proof of anything. People still debate if the Franz Ferdinand assassination really started WWI, they are wrong but yeah I have no scientific proof. We should not be paralyzed by this though, there was a baseline 40% of Gen Z men were going MAGA, that was the expectation baked into the model, older people would die, younger people would be more progressive and we could see the light at the end of the tunnel. That calculus changed and while it might have not been enough to alter the 2024 election the repercussions are real and will be with us for the rest of our lives, the question is how to reverse course without looking like a bunch of out of touch "why hello fellow kids". Feminists positing Coach Tim Walz as a male role model was offensive and tone deaf. Hell you need someone like DiCaprio who is a lady's man, but guess what? feminists loathe Leo because he dates young women. We can't let the inmates run the asylum.
  4. Looping back on Al Franken because it is democratic party politics
  5. You are wrong, for the record it was actually 23% it was 38% college graduate hispanics so the article misinterpreted the polls. How can something that was heard by 23% of hispanics (and nearly universally rejected) be considered esoteric? you are wrong dude, 100% wrong. Hey guys lets keep using the term so toxic that is driving away hispanic democrats! galaxy brain move right there.
  6. I don't fault Harris for this, if anything I do give her credit for never falling into the trap of talking about the culture wars. But you guys need to stop pretending that elections are won or lost on election day. No, elections are decided years in advance, at least for democrats they are, the cult of Trump can rely on selective memory and forget everything on election day.
  7. Read the article dude Welp lets keep using the term! 38% of hispanics is not just "academics" and if 1/4 hispanic democrats are less likely to support a politician using it why the fuck do it? Don't get me wrong they are idiots, but our side is apparently dumber. It wasn't until these polls started to come out when the slur died, but it was because of lobbying of people like me calling them idiots for using it. I got a ton of bans from that.
  8. Prices already went up (see GPUs) and they are very very unlikely to come down, the damage is done, he can prevent future inflation however and that is where the ball is on his court (and I hope he bricks it)
  9. The funniest part is that the proceeded to elevate their game to the point they became juggernauts... by getting run ruled swept by Miss State, They scored 50, FIFTY RUNS on Mizzou. Pooooor aggie got 2 runs on them on the last two games. By the law of transitive property they are about to score -10 on their next game, I will watch their career with great intrerest.
  10. Head in sand https://www.kxan.com/news/latinx-dropped-from-lulac-official-usage-deemed-very-unliked-by-latinos/ Yup it was such a non plus that it had to have directives to stop using it, LatinX has mostly died in recent years after the pushback was impossible to ignore.
  11. Lol I have been called worse, if it makes you feel any better I despise them as well even back then when I was getting banned from progressive subreddits I knew I would gladly take a million humiliations over the GOP winning, but still, lessons need to be learned.
  12. It already has, see the mayor-elect of Omaha that actively campaigned on the GOP bathroom obsession. I just hope we learn our lessons going forward, we need discipline, we need to be smart, we are playing behind the eight ball because until we denazify that is just what reality is. Assuming we still have elections of course.
  13. I will meet you half-way, I will stop using it when it is important (aka elections) and use it when important (learning opportunities after losing) I did not say any of this shit in 2024, but had already reached similar conclusions.
  14. On this we disagree, and splitting hairs on this does nobody any good.
  15. Roma do you really want me to post the near infinite list of woke left wingers misbehaving? I am not kidding the list is probably in the millions to compare me with Limbaugh is disingenuous, you might have been sheltered on this forum but on the world wide web it was not just one or two incidents it is an avalanche of stupidity that spanned a decade. You can all stick your heads in the sand how it does not matter, and you are kinda right it does not today I agree with it but only because the woke movement is reeling and finally seeing the consequences of their actions catching up to them, all of the left wing crusaders (and there were millions) that stoked the fires have retired. But the damage is done, and to loop it back into the party propper one of the idiotic actions of the democrats was what they did to Al Franken, culling our own based on identity politics jockeying IS suicidal. Then we wonder why we lost to the biggest clown when we get rid of our most talented players. Fair enough
  16. No, because I was using the definition of woke circa 2011, before the GOP even had a shot at redefining it. Woke was invented in the 70s by the black community, pretty much stopped being used but came back in the 2010s, the 2010s definition is the one I am using and most people use. Republicans have tried to redefine it to mean all leftist politics but I do not use that definition.
  17. Yes they did, the overton for Gen Z was shifted hard those formative years. Also Michelle Obama was talking about Trump being an asshole it had nothing to do with identity politics.
  18. Actually there is an argument that the woke right does exist, the difference is they will not be punished electorally for it, while we are. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2025/02/woke-right/681716/ That does not mean we stop fighting for trans rights, just that it be done intelligently and not idiotically And for the record I do know of its etymology, I am talking about how woke is defined today however.
  19. Gamergate was a right wing originated movement, its name was coined by Adam Baldwin, and weaponized by Steve Bannon, and perpetuated initially by the grifters of today, that is how Candace Owens got her start, Ian Miles Cheong, and Cernovich as well. It would have been a footnote in history (instead of the dangerous avalanche that it is today) had the left behaved like mature adults and not like petulant children, grown adults arguing that bullying should be brought back to punish these kids, I was there it was a bloodsport.
  20. Woke is the aggressive use of identity politics to frame an issue/object/discussion. This is the single most brilliant definition of woke I have ever seen Or is SNL right-wing propaganda? STOP DOING STUPID SHIT!
  21. And the plan was for those old dinosaurs to die off, not to start generating new ones radicalized even harder than before. I literally met some dumbass first time voter that said he will finally get dates after Trump gets elected and gets rid of all the undocumented workers, how did he ever reach that stupid conclusion? the new talk radio that did not exist a decade ago.
  22. I still don't understand how this is being revolved around me defending the racist, misogynistic, homophobic and transphobic policies of the GOP, when my argument is that A) since they are in the majority they are not punished as hard B) The electorate is selfish enough ignore it just as long as they get more money. The democrats should have concentrated on money issues, then that shift of Gen Z men would not have mattered, it is worrying of course but 2024 would have still been a reprieve. I am not woke but only because woke is a blind emotional strategy and it is stupid, not because I agree with the GOP in any of their arguments.
  23. Communist dictatorships using strict price controls could not stop inflation, what hope does a bloviated orange moron have? Its either shortages or price increases, and there is not a damn thing the loser can do about it.
  24. I agree with the first paragraph, but only for 2024ish by that time the damage was done. The culture wars are over 10+ years old now, for these kids that turned into impressionable idiot adults. As for the last paragraph I don't respect the social "sciences" you could say the same about me, and that is fair. But I will finish with this, there has been a long lasting desperate attempt to find this "male role model" for young boys. Tim Waltz was supposed to be this. They leaned heavily on his coaching background and told young boys "follow him, not Tate!" I have never seen a dumber and more desperate strategy in my life. It's like it was designed by aliens completely foreign to the male psyche.
  25. Tone policing is not expendability, it's called reality. Even if I do think you should be what you identify as, their methods were clearly stupid.
