  1. I think what you're seeing there is that there are two yardage readings. The one in the middle of the screen is static from when I hit the "range" button and then if you look early on when the bobcat was stalking up in the right hand corner you'll see the fluid, real-time range on whatever is inside the box in the reticle. If I'd hit the "range" button again a few times you'd see different yardage values in the middle of the screen. It's a way to mark a spot, so to speak. If I've got that correct, the kitty was 180ish yards out in the beginning and and the brush line behind it was 268ish. I'm still learning here, but that's what I think.
  2. I don’t understand why Texas Tech is so upset. They were already 96% irrelevant in the college football landscape even with Texas around and now they’re 100% irrelevant. What’s another 4%?
  3. This. It's a terrible venue for college football.
  4. Spotted the other day --
  5. Mayflower.
  6. Good eating there. Didn’t know y’all had Nilgai on your place. I wonder how long till you spot some Agapitos out there on your thermal?
  7. Soon.
  8. Pay in full or find another thing. That's my policy. I used to not have a policy and now I've got that one /Ron White
  9. Was in SA this morning & did Taco House. Puffies for breakfast? Fuck it, YOLO!!!
  10. Sorry, no tripod, but I used the truck window to get a scan of our lake bed from the damn and caught quite a bit of activity for a short stint last night. Image quality is degraded down to 720P (Thanks Vimeo), but you get the idea of this optic's capabilities here. Keep in mind the humidity was about 80% while I was shooting this---
  11. The rumors of Canyon Lake disappearing have been somewhat exaggerated. Sunrise this morning. Apple TV screensaver stuff ----
  12. Back yard about 10 minutes ago... IMG_4047.mov

Took delivery a couple of days ago. Already seen places on our ranch I’ve never been to before…
  14. Next video I'll have it on a tripod and will get some steady shots. It's impossible to hold the thing steady by hand while toggling the different buttons.
  15. Here's a clip of toggling through the different color spectrums --- video_009.mp4
  16. I was so busy trying to toggle through different functions that I forgot to focus the image, so it's not optimal. And, again, I'm it's not on a weapon yet so it's hard to hold steady.
  17. Deer at 331 yards tonight --- video_008.mov
  18. Good observation. I hadn't really noticed until you pointed it out.
  19. Until then here's another video I just downloaded off the optic of some different critters in the front yard at Canyon Lake. In this one I figured out how to toggle between white hot and the black hot images. There are about 5 other color variations that I'll post up later. Sorry for all the shakiness, I'm playing with all the buttons trying to learn what's what so it's all herky jerky and shit... video_007.mov
  20. Too bad Josey Wales isn't around to spit on Prime's jacket.
  21. I'm at the ranch now, so I'll get that chance later on this evening. Will post up some video. Has a detection range of 2500 yards, so I expect good stuff.
  22. Testing out the new thermal tonight on my balcony and this guy showed up for the assist... 5E78D704-C43F-4FD8-B696-7E96A68CE14C_2_0_a.mov
  23. It's like buying a Mercedes and finding a travel sized bag of Gummy Bears on the dash.
  24. Arrived today and if you can believe it, they threw in a free ball point pen!!! But more serious, the image is well beyond my Nox 35mm. It's not just a bit better, it's apples and oranges better. Once I catch up to the learning curve I'll post up a few videos and pics. You know, for science...
  25. Good stuff starts around 3:10 mark ~
