    2024 NFL DRAFT

He was extremely productive this year, and the weakness of the draft on defense should push the top guys up higher than they would typically go
  3. Jerrod getting hired away to an OC position would net Houston a comp pick

    2024 NFL DRAFT

Nix is much more likely than Penix Penix has medical concerns, isn't nearly as athletic as Nix is, and has a windup

Penix not in the first is reasonable

  7. Collins was a real number one this year. On the open market, he'd get paid like a #1. Houston is going to have to pay up after next season if they want to keep him
  8. He's a restricted free agent. Already knows the offense. Could be a fit. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/3886598/jauan-jennings
  9. A short talk about Houston going forward at the 42:26 mark https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/divisional-round-recap-ravens-chiefs-49ers-and-lions/id1528622068?i=1000642453167
  10. The OL is fine if it gets healthy. Should they upgrade where it makes sense if the opportunity comes along (if Mims falls to pick #23, for instance)? Sure, but as-is, it's probably fine
  11. I’m sure this is obvious, but the quality of player we draft in the first is more important than the position. That pick needs to hit and be a cornerstone

    2024 NFL DRAFT

Slighter/smaller WRs doing well in the league recently have given confidence in that archetype (which Nabers falls in) being more likely to pan out Im not sold on the Oregon guy. Interesting that Coleman appears to be out of favor

  15. I think they'd just take the QB coach/non play calling passing coordinator from the 49ers, Rams, Dolphins, Packers, etc again
  16. Every little bit helps..
  17. I think having a limited thumper at LB as a situational player is a useful club to have in the bag, if the NIL/roster space isn't at the expense of someone we really need I like the mix of styles in the running back room between Blue, Baxter, the freshmen, Red, and Wisner, even if not all of them are reliable/proven Keep in mind the run blocking should continue to take steps forward

    2024 NFL DRAFT

    He's not. Disregard Kiper
  19. I think he'd end up inside at nickel or safety, and his ability at corner means you can blitz corners on his side and he can potentially pick up the WR with minimal issues
  20. For Houston at #23, two names I like if they fall are Cooper DeJean and Amarius Mims. DeJean can play all five (or six) DB spots, and can be elite at the inside ones; imagine what DeMeco and company could do with him? If Mims wasn't injured for most of the year, there's a chance he'd be in the discussion as a top five pick; obviously that's risky, but there could be some hidden value to go with the risk. You play him at RT and play mix and match inside

    2024 NFL DRAFT

There's always the chance that a team drafts Worthy higher because they're desperate to get a traditional "Z-WR" with elite speed, and while this draft is loaded at WR, Worthy is probably the best traditional Z (if you ignore his deep ball tracking issues and the drops...)
