  1. We’re replacing a lot of snaps on the OL, but it’s worth pointing out that a lot of those snaps were also flawed; Conner fucked up most run plays he was involved in, Majors had issues getting displacement inside and anchoring against high end DTs and was good for a procedure penalty a game, and Cam was raw early in the season and a walking dead body late in the season They were also an odd mix of guys who were good in some run schemes while sucking in others that didn’t quite mesh, which made it tough to have an identity in the run game Banks obviously wasn’t an issue (he’s the best OL we’ve had since?), but Goosby potentially adequately replaces him It’s not out of the question that we can just run duo against lite boxes for five-six yards a pop against most defenses while they sit back in coverage with four man sim pressures hoping we just fuck up our pick-ups. When sark has a consistent run game he’ll dig deep into his bag and rip you a new bunghole
  2. Wingo Ohio State mostly saved Howard’s legs last year for high leverage moments. Would make sense for us to do the same Real weak spot relative to what? It’s not Bijan and Roschon or the 2001 hurricanes, but it’s probably good enough if everything else clicks
  3. He's on this pod https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/power-ratings-big-ten-schedule-winners-losers-a/id1641390413?i=1000714849581
  4. It's pretty useful in determining how many TDs you score when you're in the red zone
  5. As a traditional nickel corner he probably isn't, but there are "big nickel" coverages where the nickel is more protected and can be more aggressive in the run and on the short and intermediate But I suspect this is probably getting him ready for more situational roles I thought that was more Brewster
  6. Taafe could easily be repping NB as a way to play there in different packages rather than being the starter there in base nickel
  7. Following back up on this post, since I think eastern asian film is a treasure trove of under-watched movies, here's a a couple that are worth watching, imo Love Exposure (this is a four hour long batshit crazy movie that blew me away) Fallen Angels (Wong Kar-Wai that you didn't list) Ichi the Killer and Audition (Takashi Miike) Here's the S Korean thread An old post I made ranking those movies, although I've probably seen some since Updating my S Korea rankings Oldboy- 10/10 The Handmaiden- 10/10 Burning- 10/10 The Wailing- 10/10 Parasite- 10/10 Memories of Murder- 10/10 A Bittersweet Life- 9.5/10 The Man from Nowhere- 8.5/10 I Saw the Devil- 8/10 Lady Vengeance- 8/10 Train to Busan- 8/10 JSA- 7.5/10 Age of Shadows- 7.5/10 Mother- 7.5/10 Tale of Two Sisters- 7.5/10 Cut (the S Korean segment from Three Extremes)- 7/10 Okja- 6.5/10 Sympathy for Mr Vengeance- 6/10 Chaser- 6/10
  8. Apologies for the incoming echeese drive-by longcat reply post Check out "Stoker Kiss Kiss Bang Bang rules Both of these movies rule Conclave ruled until the ending sucked This has been towards the top of my watch-list for years and I can't find it When Black Mirror was good.. This was a vehicle to showcase his daughter. It was dumb, but I didn't hate it From the directors of Talk to Me. They made a darkweb style page for their movies. Solid horror https://www.blackangeltapes.net/ This movie ruled This was really good, reminded me of Terrified (not to be confused with Terrifier) Great book, but movie sucked Check out Stoker There's a South Korean movie thread somewhere in here. You should watch Burning, The Wailing, Memories of Murder.. This has been towards the top of my watch-list for awhile, just haven't pulled the trigger yet
  9. This movie rules, btw fwiw
  10. Blair Witch is objectively great horror, this coming from a horror snob
  11. I supposed I missed that because my eyes were too busy rolling to the back of my head
  12. "It's a program that mimics the NFL and the coaches aren't involved in evaluations!" (most NFL teams bring coaches in for evaluations later in the process, and not having a coach sign off on a scheme fit is a potential point of failure)
  13. I listened to a podcast awhile back with Bobby Carpenter who I think has been at every practice, and while he might have been toeing the party line, he said that Julien Sayin hasn't separated from the other QB who's a more mobile guy, Lincoln Kienholz
  14. He's old, but was a pretty good centerback. Not sure about taking on blocks.
  15. You’d rather be the betting favorite than not
  16. A note that might not be news or surprising; Texas is the most bet on team right now to win the national championship at every major book both in terms of tickets and handle by a considerable margin. Both retail and professional money is on Texas.
  17. Worth noting that he had a better career than his more highly regarded as a prospect teammate, Shemar Turner
  18. Still surprised they didn't bring in the 10 year starting SB winning Patriots center who got injured last year and then cut after the season. Both the OL coach and Caserio know him. Perhaps the injury is just that bad.
  19. Henderson is interesting. Was young for his grade as a recruit (IIRC, it's been awhile, but I remember liking him as a prospect) Five year starter in college (four year starter at ASU including his true freshman year, then one year at Michigan starting ten games at LT when they won the title), so he's played a ton of football Missed last year while recovering from injury, but apparently remade his body according to DeMeco Is still only 23 years old
  20. Houston has a ton of bodies in the OL room for competition and eventually spitting out a best five, including a mix of guys they're invested in (Howard, Fisher, Ersery), vets with a ton of starts who've struggled recently but should bring professionalism to the room (Robinson, Tomlinson, Ingram, Brown), four centers (Scruggs, Patterson, Andrews, Cox), and then a bunch of other bodies, including Ladarius Henderson who's name DeMeco threw out recently There's so many potential ways this can go that it's difficult to predict a starting five, but does anyone care to take a stab? Tytus Howard Cam Robinson Laken Tomlinson Ed Ingram Trent Brown Blake Fisher Jarrett Patterson Aireontae Ersery Zach Thomas Ladarius Henderson Jake Andrews Austin Deculus Eli Cox Nick Broeker Jerome Carvin Jaylon Thomas
  21. He's a talented yolo gunslinger. Needs to cut down on the turnovers
  22. I like Nussemeier, but he's certainly not a transcendent guy who's going to win you a title on his back
  23. Unless Goosby has a medical red flag that scares teams off, I wouldn't use Cam Williams' drop as an example for him
