I'm reading that poor sap who was only 2 months into his marriage when news broke Bobby P was nailing his wife is still married. Would anyone here stay with their wife after being cucked by Petrino on the national stage?

Cuban must not pay attention to politics in Texas if he thinks casino gambling or sports betting have a chance of legalization in his lifetime.

Steve Wynn couldn't get it done with the casino on Buffalo Bayou, nor could the Pratt family and Caesar's. But gambling (sports gambling, at least) is much more ubiquitous/mainstream than it was then.

He never tried to leave.  He was fired in April.  He didn't get a dollar of his buyout.

He was actively negotiating with Auburn for most of his tenure.

Also @PittsburghTiger found this fun site that makes searching for Portal entrants much easier

Man, it looks like 3/4 of the portal players are QBs.  Will that change over the next few days?

EDIT - looking at the full list, that's not true.  I guess the QBs are the ones the media focuses on

Right. Hell, two years ago they embarrassed themselves nationally with both the UT/OU news/"gentleman's agreement" and then Fisher's bragging about NIL then claiming they had none and going after Nick Saban on live tv. They never learn and they'll continue to pull the bookshelf on themselves accordingly.

Learning those lessons would require them to fundamentally change their nature.  That stuff is literally who they are.

There's not a lot that can surprise me when it comes to college athletics, but Petrino coming back to Arkansas is pretty unbelievable. Dude was handing out jobs and cash to his sidepiece and lied to his bosses about it.

On the positive side for piggy students, I guess they can all plan on banging the volleyball team

I am amazed how little play we’re seeing about this.  The weirdness of it and the absolute cuckold it makes Arkansas.  Fired by a school you actively tried to leave and then basically defrauded - who fired you midseason despite you being an acknowledged “offensive genius” who established them as residents of the top 10 for the first time in recent memory.

They then turn around and hire you back when your “offensive genius” label is somewhat tarnished to say the least, even though you’ve shown that you haven’t changed when you fucked over UNLV last year.

OUsux promoting Littrell from Analyst to OC and giving Finley a co-OC tag.

I hate that these seem like sound moves to me.  Both young guys with good resumes coaching at their alma mater.

This would be the dumbest UH move ever... dude cant (wont) recruit for shit.

Traylor, a good DC, and some Fertitta NIL money could have Kelvin Sampson level success in the Big12.

Such a Tillman Fertitta move.  “He has coached Heisman winners.  He has coached in the NFL!” instead of “he will win games and recruit well.”

If they had announced the Elko hire an hour after the firing of Jimbo, the fanbase would have been apoplectic.

Their current positive reaction is more about the events of the last week than it is about Elko.

Look for Elko to bring in Warren Buffet and Charlie Munger as coordinators.
