Tarrant is about to go to Biden
-
Running Candace Valenzuela for a swing district is really going to haunt us. That was ripe for the taking but nominating an extreme lefty was foolish.

Per the Georgia Sec of State website. Trump's lead is down to 77,599 votes with all but Fulton country having completed the count. Showing 371 of 384 precincts reporting. Right now Biden has a 72%-27% split in votes.
Unfortunately I think Biden is going to come up just short.

Not that it would have made a difference, but he should have come to Texas instead of Kamala.
All the money that went to Florida, Harrison, and McGrath should have been dumped into Texas.

I’m super shocked that immamac doesn’t really care about minorities. Who coulda seen that coming.
I don’t really think that’s what he is saying.

Not having a ground game and rallies was a huge detriment.

ICU here at the hospital still full with over half being COVID. Went and checked, they didn't magically jump of the ventilators.
Don’t treat em if they vote Trump

I think the concept of “advise and consent” will be bypassed over the next couple of years.

We will never know for sure, but I firmly believe Warren and Sanders both would have lost this election. Probably pretty badly, too, as things turned out.
Bernie would have been absolutely stomped.

This was the plan. Never admit a loss.

Based on expectations, obviously, not a good night for Dems. I haven’t had a chance to look too closely at anywhere else other than Tarrant. Dems picked up 2 constable seats and Biden may win based on yet uncounted absentee and mail votes. Tarrant Dems wanted to do much more and it’s easy to be disappointed but the trends are still continuing towards a Democratic County.

Need to talk about economic issues and healthcare. “Systemic racism” just isn’t a good issue.

Lesson from last night, minorities, especially Latinos don’t want the Dem party to shift further left.

I said this earlier and bears repeating, no modern presidential campaign has won without a ground campaign. I was conflicted on it but ultimately thought it was right with Covid. However, I think it’ll be the difference maker in a close election.

Wisconsin and Michigan, wow.

Yup, disappointing

Been at what should be a favorable Tex box for the gop. Judging by my experience it isn’t the turnout they want.

Dallas election day turnout at 82,711 today as of around 3:30. Again, I don't have insight into whether that is good or disappointing but posting in case others do.
It’s good, very good

I wasn't as locked in 4 years ago. At what point in the day did the storm clouds start forming?
They had been forming for quite awhile. The worst didn’t happen till about 9p when it became apparent there weren’t enough votes left in key places.

Am I missing a few pages in history? I could've sworn Hitler gained office by playing to the masses' fear of losing their country to particular demographics, and then talking about Eugenics and racehorse theory. Sound familiar?
Also, Obama said it best when he stated that the US is like an ocean liner. It takes a long time to change course. You and I, as Black Americans, have far more ability to freely move around in this country than we did 47 years ago. So do Women. So do Gays. So do Hispanics. As a father, I like the idea that my daughter will be able to buy a house without a signature from her husband, or get her own credit cards, or has rule over her own body. All of those things, IN MY EYES, are called progress. A good politician SHOULD keep his ear to the ground, and play to the wants and desires of the people. You see 47 years of non action. I see 47 years of slow progress. Do I wish we could course correct quicker? Yes, but that's not how oceanliners work.
Hitler started out very unpopular and remained so for a very long time. He took a very small minority and gained power by intimidation and violence. The resistance ignored him and thought him too crazy to gain real power until it was too late.
That’s the comparison we’re drawing. No, it’s not exactly the same, don’t get hung up on that. It’s the resistance to democracy that’s concerning.

My taxes went up under Trump.

I hope people don’t spend all trying to find rumors about turnout splits.
unless the person has access to real exit polls, they don’t know anything. Today will constantly be “they’re saying this” without defining they.
Yeah, it’s just a little bit of info we have so far today.

By challenging all these results he’s just further legitimizing his loss.
