I think LSU is basically it. If people are really going to die on this hill their entire argument basically comes down to LSU because King was sold on the SEC. The lack of blue bloods in King's recruitment wasn't weird because he wouldn't look at most of them and a lot of the good SEC schools had their QBs early.

"bUt LoOk At HiS oFfErS" is a very aggy argument and generally just annoying

    1) You don't think offer lists matter when determining if a recruit is a 5 star talent? Couldn't be me. There are obviously some anomalies when it comes to offer lists and 5 stars but if the big boy schools aren't involved there's normally a reason why.

    2) It's almost like LSU is shit at evaluating QBs. There isn't years of evidence to prove this or anything.

Processing them is just asking for trouble.

It depends on the talent of the current QB commit. If you have somebody like Card and JQJ it's not worth the trouble because they're already legit talents. In this case, our staff  thinks both are better than King regardless of ranking.

But you're kidding yourself if you think it's "trouble" for a school to drop a decent QB for a perceived 5 star talent. Nearly every school in the country would do it. The blow back from processing players lasts a couple days and then nobody gives a shit.

Teams would take a legit 5-star and let their current QB decommit if he wanted to. King was underrated before, but it's swung to far in the other direction, he's overrated now.

This is the right take. King is a good player and probably deserved a bump. He's not a 5 star player.

Lulz at satya's take that "schools already had their QB". If King was a 5 star QB and right there for the taking they would dump their current QB commit in a second.

QBs can be late risers too. By the time King rose to the forefront a lot of schools already had their QB takes (including us). King is very much a five-star and A&M got unbelievably lucky.

I don't buy this at all. Who gives a shit if "schools already had their QB takes". If King is a legitimate 5 star QB schools would dump their current QB commit in a second.

Edit: It’s also insane that aggy was able to fall ass backwards into a 5 star QB.

It's because he isn't a 5 star. When's the last time a 5 star QB was a battle between the likes of aggy and Tennessee? This is once again recruiting services overreacting to camps.

Rivals just gave aggy 2 more composite 5 stars, but I'm sure they'll still be screaming BOMC the moment a new update goes even slightly against them.

This is the funny part. Even last year most of their top recruits got bumps. The issue with aggy is they are taking a lot of bread outside the top of their class which is where they see adjustments they don't like.

Glenn Beal. He's been their first team TE for call camp so far.

Yeah, meant Glenn Beal. I remember most those SEC schools were recruiting him on the OL and DL. From watching some practice clips he has very limited mobility. There's no way he's going to be a threat in the passing game.

Their starting TE is a second year plodder who other SEC schools liked on DL or OL, and I figured Cupp would pass him up early this year. And we all know how important TE is to Jimbo's offense. Ouch.

Wait they think Logan Beal is going to replace Sternberger? Cupp is a brutal loss if true because they have such limited depth at TE and their system is reliant on that position.

Are there really 247 posters out there saying "oh no we took Princely that means Collins isn't coming"?

If anything Princely helps us with Collins. Play HS football in the same area and Collins RTed the Princely commitment. They probably have some type of relationship.

Is that a 247 thing? I feel like Rivals used to have a lot of 2 stars.  I remember Blake Gideon being a 2 star.

Not sure but just go look at their commit list. Their top ranked commit is the #1976 composite recruit. It's not like they're landing Fillinger type 3 stars.

Their top commit (by ranking) has offers from UNT and Eastern Kentucky.

Texas. Soon. Ban me if I’m wrong.

Demetric Warren has interacted with somebody on twitter several times that's involved with that recruitment. I bet you're right.

If Sterns can make it back to 100% from this high ankle sprain for game 1, it'll be the first time I've seen a player recover this quickly. Hish ankle sprain is horrible news IMO.

It’s like you missed the language “low grade”.
