They had salads? I always went for the $4.99 chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes back then.
Man Grandy’s was awesome. They also had the best cinnamon rolls.

It’s the 2nd season for all new schools that came online for the 2020-22 Alignment.

We replaced our Linebackers and got Jones back on the DLine and we magically look different.

I love Bijon but there has to be a way to get RoJo more touches.

Lets see what happens
I want PK gone, but if we are keeping him we have to pay whatever it takes to get Lake. He would help tie the backend of our defense together with the front seven, knows the system and is willing to spit fire or slap a kid around if needed. We need some tough coaches to counter Sark and PK’s laid back attitudes.

Nothing against Jimmy Lake, but I hope his situation shakes a few guys loose that know PK's system.
I hope Jimmy Lake gets fired and shakes his way to Texas as well.

Either we fire PK or Fire Joseph. PK allowed Lake to control the back end and Lake taught his Cover 3 well. Joseph is a cover 4 guy and that’s the discount on the backend of the defense and the secondary.
I don’t have an clue why our front 7 is bad beside just pure lack of talent.

CTE.
Two teams brought him in after the Ravens release and remarked how they didn’t feel like he was steady mentally.
He has had some alcohol and anger issues resulting in some actions that have been kept low key.

I'd bet Adimora is even less rangy than Foster is which is why he isn't seeing the field at safety on snaps that matter. I think he put on too much weight to play the nickel role in the previous scheme. Both him and Owens should be asking to be moved into Overshown's role. Crazy that 4 TDs yesterday were basically on 2 people, not sure I put any of those 4 plays on the coaches, they both need to give better individual effort.
I remember during the spring the reports were that Adimora had shed the extra weight since the nickel was now requiring more coverage skills. Coming out of spring reports had him as having the nickel spot locked down. At his point I think it’s a few people on surly who could have more range and give more effort than Foster.
-
I’d like to see Adimora instead of Foster. He was projected to start before Cook turned it on at nickel during camp. The two TDs that came in the first half were both on Foster.
-
We have to play Dunn more.
Nice to see the Freshman Sorrel making plays!

it's neither one of those things.
There is a reason the 9.95'ers are respecting privacy on this one. It isn't discipline, it isn't a criminal issue, it isn't a character issue. I hope he is, indeed, back in the spring, and remain optimistic for his long term potential in the program.
Is it related to religion?

If Sark would have known we were going to the SEC who would our d coord be?
Muschamp, who he thought he had wrapped up to be his initial DC before he had a “change of heart”.

He wants to show recruits how to suck shit through a straw?
Lol.
he definitely wants to show Arch and receivers a pro style offense that features pro routes concepts and a pocket QB. That’s Card.
Casey is going to use his legs a lot and take the safer underneath throws. Sark isn’t a big fan of running QBs but that’s probably best for this year’s team.
-
Card won the job based on potential and the offense that Sark wants to run. Sark has to decide is running your system and showing recruits what you want to do more important than winning games right now. Card more likely is the future but for this team to make the most out of what they have they need to play Casey and build the game plan around what he does well.

Sark really exposed the flaws in this Defensive scheme. Minnesota came in with a similar game plan but didn’t have the athletes to win. Oregon has better guys and are picking apart this D. Combs can coach DBs but is terrible as a coordinator.
how can they recruit so well and have no linebackers?

Not exactly. The SAM is usually on the field when we are in Nickel in a 3-3-5 and the Mike usually comes off. The SAM usually comes off for the 2-4-5 in favor of the Mike. So it’s more dependent on front than whether we’re in Nickel.
Also, PK mixes up his LBs a lot. It changed form year to year for him at UW, so it’s not even that static.
He could put Overshown at Sam in a 3-3 and then put Gbenda at Will and keep the Mike, or he may also sub the Mike out and leave Thornton or someone else in. We have a lot of different bodies at LB, so we’re pretty much just going to have to see how he uses guys, because there’s a ton of versatility in his defense. The classic depth chart starting 11 won’t accurately convey playing time from week to week under PK.
Well damn. Where is Chris Ash and his defense so that i and every offense we face knows exactly what each LB is going to do and going to be?
I agree that the front will have a big impact on why we do with the linebackers. Still hoping to see more of Gbenda but if Brock if the best player for the position then LFG!

I don’t think we’re missing anyone specifically at that spot, and it would be pretty surprising if Gbena couldn’t beat him out there given the hype he was getting in the spring.
I may be off base, but it sounds like that is the least important LB spot on the defense for the most part. Whoever wins the spot mostly won’t be on the field on 3rd downs or against obvious passing looks.
The SAM, currently projected to be the ND transfer, is the line back who comes off the field in the Nickel packages. The mike comes off in Dime packages. I expected Gbenda or Richardson to take that spot but it seems like Richardson isn’t up to speed yet.

Any smoke with Josh White from LSU? I remember hearing his name last offseason as a player that was considering transferring and coming back to Texas.
