Whoever is proven and talented will be needing a metric fuckton of NIL money from CU to go there, or they'll be going there out of the sheer kindness of their hearts. A school, not Texas, went after Chappell at ATM and ATM matched for a ridiculous sum. That dude projects as a day one pick apparently.

The other school might be one of the most well-heeled, but the true ballers will be getting 6 figures. CU has zero NIL infrastructure. So either Deion has already found a benevolent Daddy Warbucks CU backer, or things are going to be harder than everyone else is thinking. I'm interested to see if Hunter follows him to CU because he could land $250k+ anywhere else.

    I’ll say this:

Two of my old kids have plans to transfer/attempt to transfer to Colorado. Both power five players. There are inner city parents who are absolutely enamored with Coach Prime. Parents seem to be more enamored than the kids.

The word is Hunter has already been taken care of and that was taken care of before Deion took the job. But like everybody has said plenty of times, when it gets down to crunch time let’s see if the money is actually there and how much money you’re willing to turn down.

more than likely Colorado is about to take a lot of highly ranked high school prospects who flamed out and feel like a change in scenery is going to help them. People will see their high school rankings and swear Deion is putting together a talented squad.

Is Deion in the business of recruiting shitty CBs? What the fuck would he want with Taylor?

Bobby can/could play at Jackson State and be successful at that level so him transferring there made sense. There will be better options in the portal for Deion at Colorado.

  3. I’m not the biggest Prime fan but that Colorado locker has some culture issue. One of our coaches accompanied a kid on his official visit to Colorado last year and it was a mess. The kid loved campus and was enjoying his official visit until the head coach’s wife made an ignorant comment to a parent as a “joke”that unraveled the visit. The kid asked his host about the coach after and his host told him and his parent flat out not to come to Colorado and that him along with most guys were planning to get out the program. The host and his roommate both hit the transfer portal.

I think that's good logic. Especially if it still the situation some of us have been hearing about for a month+.

I can guarantee you that it won't be IT fucking it up. The liabilities are the same as they ever were - Chip Brown and Geoff Ketchum/Anwar.

I really respect that IT can be in the know and not ruin things for Texas. Eric can be an ass at times but IT does look out for Texas’ best interest.

if Ketch or Chip ruin this secondary player for Texas after the work that has been put in to make it work, Texas has to pull their media credentials.

The read on him (and not just from bizzle) is that he's VERY immature, but not actually malign. You need to surround a kid like that with driven peers and a good cultural structure. And you can't have too many of them at once. Sooo... you just have to do that math. Could work if you think he's the guy to invest that effort into.

His family believes he is just immature and easily influenced. They SWEAR Chris Marshall is the bad apple who has influenced Denver negatively. His family has been trying to get him away from Chris. But that’s the problem, people needs to make him have some accountability and not just blame his action on others.

Do we even give it shot with Harris or take a pass?

The kid needs to take some time away from football and figure out what direction he wants to take his life. Of course his people won’t let him do that so hopefully he finds a program with very strong leadership and discipline. He is not even welcome on North Shore campus right now.

Of course a bunch depends upon how Texas fares in closing the class and who they lose that they do not wish to lose. That said, I will be really surprised if Texas doesn't take at least 3 DBs, 2 DEs, and at least one LB. If they get Hill, they lose Burrell, still need at least one LB. Remember what I've said about a TB and understand why no $9.95er with a relationship with recruits would say that they'd go after one at this point.

Beyond that, knock me over with a feather if they take a TE. I've heard that they're thinking about an OL with P5 starting experience but I am dubious on that premise, personally.

It sounds like 6-12 guys from the portal depending upon unwanted attrition and how much of a feeding frenzy they can get into with high quality guys who suddenly really have an interest in Texas.

Was really excited about Burrell. I think he will be a dog in two years. I get that you have to take Ant Hill if you can get him tho. Hope the LB from out west is as good as Choate believes he is because most people believe they like him much more than Burrell.

I would expect 2 WR, 1 Edge, 1 Safety 1 CB, 1 QB, 1 LB and a OL if they find one that can play inside and is a clear upgrade. They want size inside. But they don’t want young size because a young guy causes them to lose somebody.

This is all dependent on who they can get and who leaves of course.

Those are great options, would Sark take a swing at his buddy Wiggins from Bama?

Will he? I’m sure he will. Sark loves anything Bama. I’m also sure he would like to interview Tee Martin. But truth be told Wiggins hasn’t shown me anything especially these last two years. Recruiting to Bama is easy but that WR room outside of Meechie hasn’t been developed well.

  9. Who coaches the nickel currently for us?

Barron showed a lot of growth and improvement.

I’d be perfectly fine with an upgrade at CB coach but I know they really like Joseph’s recruiting connections in the boot.

individually I think Gideon and Joseph are decent but collectively they don’t seem to be on the same page as PK all the time.

They have a minimum of one guy set up to portal at the EDGE role. I don’t think you guys will be pumped about him, but there’s a ton of potential. They continue to search for a proven difference maker as well. I wouldn’t conflate the portal with a late riser that they’d redshirt for this position.

Dammit on the not pumped part. We need a difference maker at edge bad.
