    Just a guess...

Recently reported that Ford played with an injury during part of this past season.  (Might have been some type of hernia injury)

Damn. Make sense for him then. He could have used the exposure but getting healthy for pro day and combine are more important.

  2. Not sure if this is the right place, but did anybody find out why Ford and J Whit didn’t participate in the senior bowl? I would have thought both could have used a good showing to help draft stock.

  3. I’m guessing the choice is Tracy Rocker. Spent over 20 years coaching and developing DL in college. 6 years in the league and was headed back to college before he got the offer from the Eagles two years ago. Lots of SEC experience.

Clint Hurt would be awesome but I don’t see Hurt or Nielsen coming when they will have DC opportunities in the NFL.

let’s go Tampa Bay so we can see if my guess is correct.

There were numerous issues at UW while Lake was the HC, including him having a physical altercation with a player that played a role in his firing. I get confused as to why people are so high on him and think he'd get through compliance.

I don’t know if he would get through compliance.

people are high on him though cause he is a damn good DB coach and put a ton of guys in the league and is in the league now coaching. PK was at his best with Lake training the DBs. People don’t like the coaching our secondary receives so they want the last guy who worked well with PK SCHEME WISE.

[csb]  After we won the Big 12 championship, I met some friends at a bar in Houston after they flew back from Jerry World. Celebration drinks were flowing, we end up playing at the pool table for 3-4 hours.  Cool black lady comes over with her own pool stick and her group joins us shooting the shit.  We're watching FSU/Louisville game in the background and talking football with one of her friends. Ends up he's Denver Harris's dad. I was pretty wasted and was like "He's the one speeding through that Aggie parking lot, right?". He laughed. Said he wanted Denver at Texas but momma wanted A&M. He's still pissed about it. That's all I remember. [/csb]

Must be his bio dad cause his step dad did a lot to make sure he didn’t end up at Texas. Really push LSU as well.

the circle has been an issue for like 4 years. i think it's pretty clear that he isn't making changes to his circle at this point

I agree. There was some hope that he would make this decision on his own since dad has been pulling the strings on all the previous decisions and Evan ain’t been all that happy with said decisions. But it’s hard to get people out your decisions when they have been getting paid for years. They ain’t just walking away from money.

There are guys on the team and coming to the team who are not interested in dealing with Stewart’s shit, including his demands to be promised a starting spot. I don’t see him being a fit and he’s a terrible culture guy. Get a fucking grip.

His dad is definitely still a part of his inner circle jerk. I hope he goes and gets to be TikTok awesome at USC or Tennessee. It would be on brand for both sides.

    1. Let’s say Evan was willing to come to Texas for 1/4 or 1/3 third of what Aggie paid him making money a none issue, would people still be against him coming to Texas?

    2. Evan’s circle is the biggest issue. The perceived leading voice is all about getting money, while the trainers are saying forget the money, pick a good offense, be a good teammates and solely focus on draft stock. Leading voice says why can’t we get paid our worth AND go somewhere to improve stock.

    3. At the end of the day I just can’t see it happening at Texas but Texas and Alabama are the two places that Evan himself would like to go.

This duncanville team is damn good

And Desoto beat them by 14. That's how good Desoto is.

DeSoto won that game cause Moore was suspended the first half. He scored twice in the second when he returned. That’s a different game if Moore plays the whole game.

If I am hazarding a guess as to who could be potential portal guys for us. Gerry said 5-8, and I would imagine it would come from this group:

    BJ Allen

    Casey Cain

    Juan Davis

    Xavion Brice

    Austin Jordan

    Maalik Murphy

    Larry Turner Gooden

    Zac Swanson

    Isaiah Neyor

We want Austin Jordan to stay. Profiles to safety quite well and to be honest I’d play him at nickel before Gullibeau or however you spell his name.

  10. I want Murph back but that doesn’t seem likely. Could see Collins coming back and being the man at DT next year. He has a draft able grade but Bo can show the year Sweat is having and sell Collins on making that jump next year. If we get Collins back I’m feeling good with Burke and the rest of the edges returning that we have a good DLine. The coaches are high on Vasak if he can stay healthy, Simmons can be a third down specialist and I think with another off season Burke is going to be a monster. If the light comes on for Tapp we start to look scary at edge.

He's not good. He has two valuable assets that are unteachable - physique and arm strength. Beyond that, he's not just mediocre at most other facets for a QB, he's off the charts bad at a lot of them.

He's scared of contact. He imagines pocket pressure in ways that make Quinn Ewers envious. He's immobile to the point of being a statue. He has the touch of drunken step parent and the accuracy of a storm trooper. He can read the field the way a kindergartner can read James Joyce. He's got Garrett Gilbert's long striding down pat.

In short, he's got a lot of unfixable problems and he's never going to be a productive QB at the P5 level.

He didn’t look great once the scripted plays that he worked all week on were used up but he did show off his arm on some great early throws. It’s still early for him. He will be a power five starter before his career ends if he can stay healthy. That’s his biggest issue. He was scared of contact cause he wasn’t/isn’t healthy. Truthfully shouldn’t have been playing with his back issues.

He isn’t saying this in a sense of losing blue to chase Golden. He is mentioning it as they went to the same high school and know each other. So if Blue is unhappy and on his way out the door he might not have the best things to say on his way out. They play diff positions so pursuing one is not pushing the other out.

    Bingo.

they still talk and are pretty good friends.
