Ready for tomorrow
I’m betting that’s Fireball. -
Last “vacation”, we stayed at a 5-star hotel and paid a SHIT TON of money for the breakfast buffet.
You haven’t told us this story before. Please tell it again.- 1

Someone upthread mentioned learning to ignore things is a ninja level skill. My FIL is there as my MIL is a nagging, know it all wench that criticizes every move he makes. I certainly understand why he spends all day outside or on the boat. My wife even sees it.
I'm 14 years into marriage and I have not reached that skill level.

Is your HVAC part of the PE roll up? Is the roll up operating the aqusitions decentralized, or as one unit.
just out of curiosity
Sorry I missed the second question.
Until we get to scale each will run on its own. Integration and implementation of things like Field Service Management platforms or accounting is often a difficult and costly undertaking.

Specific to "fire" peril or more of a general sense like "property"? Safeco said auto is less of a money loser than homeowners at this point. Said it might be 2025 before they get to the rate they need to make money on homeowners again.
Yes, we always separated the 2 sides of the house between the Auto and Fire/Home side. Auto was constantly bailing out the Fire side.

Qb has riddled me all year.
Started with Burrow and Fields. I've been sticking with Burrow but added Jordan Love a few weeks ago. Just my luck that Fields was on my bench for last nights game.

Get that insurance money for hail-damaged roofs while you can. Everybody is going to 2% min wind/hail deductibles and I doubt it goes back to 1% or flat deductibles any time soon, if ever. Gone will be the days of homeowners counting on a big hail-storm bringing a new roof courtesy of the insurance carriers. They might pay a little but nowhere near what they've paid in the past.
Is the fire side of most carriers losing money again? -
She farts in those pants it ain’t going anywhere.

Interesting. I am part of a senior leadership team that was brought on by a PE group as we acquired a large HVAC company in Florida. We closed last November. Company lost $5 million in 2022, we are going to make about $ 8 million in profit this year. I run our RNC sales team.
Nice! Would love to get into Florida. We had 2 near Ft Myers that we were way past LOI on, but with one the owners became unrealistic and tried to retrade with a 50% price increase.
Was the HVAC a marketed deal or proprietary?

My company is not. When dealing with PE they want larger platforms deals starting around $2MM in Adjusted EBITDA. If mine were there, yes I would sell it to them.

Just curious about an update. Am in the ETA space and always wondering if the HVAC space is worth getting into
Sure thing.
A year removed from parting ways with the seller and we are better off for it in many ways. Our process is right, what I need is techs that follow it consistently. It's like at times they are afraid to make money.
Just moved our shop up north a bit. Dropped rent from $4500 to $1700/month.
Hired a marketing firm in Austin to assist with PPC, SEO, SM, etc.. One month in, so not much to report there.
Landed some bigger Commercial jobs but those are less profitable than Resi.
Finally got a good sales type guy. He's still a tech but runs the same process we do and it shows.
Got the financials set the way they should be so I can accurately track profit margins. This was an undertaking.
On a separate side note, I'm part of a PE firm acquiring HVAC, Plumbing and Electric companies across the US. Just closed our first in NC a few weeks back and looking to close another in KC before Thanksgiving. We have a $100MM to spend with a very attractive upside option for owners that partner with us. Exit timeframe is 24-36 months based on our current pipeline.

Night Troopers picked up speed a few minutes after being revived.

34-28 for the good guys.
I think we'll be sweating into the fourth quarter.

MIL literally only uses Facebook for "the internet". She has no clue that anything else exists. Case in point, she is moving into a new house this week. She drove around all day yesterday to different big box stores looking for "kleenex box covers". Since those are apparently more important than furniture. She came back all exasperated that she couldn't find them anywhere. I found 50 different options on Amazon within 30 seconds.
She could crochet one like my Mamaw use to do.

They are. In more hail prone areas some carriers offer no less than a 2% W/H deductible.

C3PO looked weird. I'm sure even Daniels has put on some old man weight so the black midriff looked bigger or there were less wires. Something there was off. It's also like they didn't fit him with neck piece until the day of filming and when it didn't fit, they quickly just spray painted a piece of plastic with matte paint instead of it being shiny gold like every other film appearance.
it was his movements. They were more twitchy than in the past.

Is Gabriel much of a runner?

8 points from your QB1, WR2 and D/ST will win you lots of matchups.

It’s like y’all haven’t been watching FIGJAM for the last 20 years calling Rory fake.

JT and Spieth need to find a way to win this. You're playing against a rookie and a washed Rose. Make it happen.
Rose may be washed on tour but in RC he is usually hard to beat. -
I've mentioned the Judge Feeders that we use. Very solid, but not inexpensive.

I paid $449 for that 500# stubby. I’ll pay for quality. Not doing the cheap stuff any longer. -
I like those plate designs to keep the critters out. Really good system.
Yeah like that along with the stand and fill. Would like to see a heavier gauge to it but the seams look well built. I’ll report back after 12 months in the wild. -
Going to give this one a go.
Local company and I talked to the owner who was very helpful.- 3

Apologies. For my penance I will post a shot of a bunch of hooch my buddy found at his office that he won’t give me a deal on.
