  1. Made four varieties yesterday - traditional with paprika; sweet pickled jalapeno; bacon; and Caesar.

Caesar was by far the best - freshly minced garlic, Parmigiano-Reggiano, anchovy paste, Worcestershire, mayo, dijon, black pepper.

  2. Happy Easter!

My teenage daughters and my wife (no pics) are currently turning the house upside down looking for the 4 remaining hidden eggs.  This afternoon, we head to the in-laws for dinner and egg hunting with the 3 year old niece.

Would such targeted protests be allowed here. I can see holding signs but yelling “murderer” in the faces of customers seems to cross the line of free speech into harassment. But I’m not a lawyer and I did not stay in a holiday inn express last night.

That story pissed me off when I heard about it on the radio.  Now that I read the details I'm even more pissed off.

If it had happened in the US I'd want to see those people arrested.  For what exactly, I don't know, but it's ridiculous that people can disrupt a perfectly legal business in that way.  They are depriving the owner of his livelihood.  Lawyers, what's the call?  Harassment?  Google tells me there is such a thing as "tortious interference" -- would that apply?  The explanation I see is "one person intentionally damages someone else's contractual or business relationships with a third party causing economic harm."

Those granola chomping hippies aren't hurting the business.  In the United States, they'd have every right to stand around and offend people.  There are several European countries that have instituted laws to ban offensive speech and there are those in the United States which would do the same.

Picked it up at Total Wine Lakeline last weekend for about $35.  Haven't seen it at any Twin Liquors yet.

    Well I knew I tasted chocolate. emoji4.png

Up front it has a taste similar to the true blue, that’s why I thought there might be some of the corn. Didn’t realize it was 100% Rye. Should have read the bottle.

    It makes a great OF.

  7. Had deviled eggs topped with smoked salmon at a restaurant a few weeks ago.  They were pretty good.

I have a dozen and a half eggs to devil tomorrow.  Probably go traditional with some and chopped pickled japs with the others.

Definitely pick up the sweetness of the corn in the mashbill that is so dominant in the True Blue but it’s got a good spice from the rye and the finish is a mix of coffee and chocolate.

I thought the mash bill is 100% rye.
