  10. At the end of OTF today Bobby insinuated that the hi from Gerry may go public today with something along the lines that CJ and Gerry could be talking about that hi later today on the afternoon show.
  11. Bobby: As the football and basketball coaches are on the road, and the baseball and softball staffs prepare for tournament time, the future of college sports continues churning behind the scenes. Ross Dellenger of Yahoo! reported late last night that the four major conference are circulating a draft document to its members that would bind member institutions to new House Settlement rules surrounding NIL and render punishment absolute without legal recourse (i.e. a lawsuit). And if a school has state laws that are different from the conference, the school in question could lose conference membership unless they abide by conference rules. It’s a bold move by administrators at the conference level, not within the NCAA, to try to get their arms around college sports. The draft agreement would also elect a commissioner or CEO of college sports whose decisions about eligibility would be final and also without recourse. This is exactly the kind of sweeping change that college sports needs, even if some of the proposed draft seems far-fetched or over-reaching. They conference commissioners simply are trying to go too far IMO. They’re trying to put the genie back in the bottle and it’s just not going to work ultimately. Tennessee, for example, has state rules that preclude it from allowing any conference rule to regulate its public institutions. Are we going to kick out Tennessee from college sports? Unlikely. So the draft proposal, no matter how aggressive, has some issues. ** Many believe the House Settlement will be approved this week by the judge. That means the terms of it could go into effect as soon as June 1. How will that effect recruiting as it relates to NIL? We simply don’t know. Not yet at least. But it is something that we’ll be tracking.
  12. SIAP Gerry Hamilton Posted 15 hours ago Recruiting thoughts to start the week I'm back in Texas after 12 days on the road. There was a lot learned, a number of sources spoken with and more. 1. Texas is a cool school/hot team on the trail. Dia Bell talked about, top prospects are back to responding to the question of if they would have interest in visiting Texas with "Of course, it's Texas". Kids in the Southeast Region of ages 16-18 know Texas as being in the last two CFB Playoffs, players winning awards, a lot of NFL draft picks and seeing recognizable players signing with and playing at Texas. 2. Texas leads for 4-star++ DL Kendall Guervil (Fort Myers, Fla./High). 3. Texas leads or is right there with Florida and Miami for 4-star+ TE Heze Kent (Brunswick, Ga./High). 4. Texas has a legit shot with 4-star++ DB Justice Fitzpatrick (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas). Georgia, Miami and Alabama the comp with Georgia having the long standing relationships and comfort for the parents. 5. I feel really good about OL recruiting. Texas leads or is even with 4-star++ Samuel Roseborough (Clearwater, Fla./High), 5-star John Turntine (Fort Worth, Texas/North Crowley) and 4-star++ Felix Ojo (Mansfield, Texas/Lake Ridge). Texas is in it for 4-star+ Sam Utu (Orange, Calif./Lutheran) and felt good about the visit with 4-star+ Malakai Lee (Honolulu, Hi./Kamehameha). 6. I like the net cast with defensive line recruiting, but I can see it playing out into the season. 7. WInning out for one of the Peach State LB's is going to be key. 5-star Xavier Griffin (Gainesville, Ga./High) and 4-star++ Brayden Rouse (Marietta, Ga./Kell) are very much in play. 8. Texas has a legit shot to flip 4-star++ WR and Texas A&M verbal Aaron Gregory (Douglassville, Ga./Douglas County). 9. OTF places Texas as a slight favorite over Clemson and South Carolina for 4-star++ CB Samari Matthews (Cornelius, N.C./Hough). 10. Texas is ALL IN on 4-star++ DB Davon Benjamin (Westlake Village, Calif./Oaks Christian). Mark Orphey and Johnny Nansen will be back at the school this week. 11. The Texas staff will be back on the road this week. AJ Milwee will see Dia Bell one more time, plus seeing 2027 QB's. Mark Orphey will see Benjamin, Samari Matthews and Justice Fitzpatrick. Kenny Baker will see DL's and be in Atlanta area. Chad Scott is expected by Carthage High, and Texas is ALL IN on K.J. Edwards.
  13. It’s interesting that all 4 p4 conferences are working on this together. Don’t like it, go to g6
  14. Gotta create the soundbites that resonate and are easy to post on socials tbh. That's why Hogg, AOC, Crockett, Booker, and some others are the future of the party. They know how to attack the right.
  15. He could get them on record but none of that shit matters and he's too much of a pussy to do anything about having them on record anyway.
  16. Reminds me of the wrestlers that leave their shoes on the mat when their career is done.
  17. I think they could draft Haper and still have enough to trade for a Giannis especially with future picks.
  18. From what I have gathered is they played shit sound bite after a miss or something and people are calling it "monkey noises" while she was shooting. Yet no player on the court confirmed there were monkey noise or racist stuff yelled.
  19. That's my qualm about talking about this stuff. I come from rural small town and have lived in large cities the second half of my life so I know the average white guy for both areas in the 18-45 year demo pretty well for broad appeal. I'm trying to keep my conversation as simple as possible about the insights into their thoughts and minds in this thread. The key is simplicity in messaging and direct, nobody in that demo gives a fucking about how the markets are doing, they don't give a fuck about celebrity endorsements, etc. I was negged by wildcat for "fascist propaganda" in one post because of that. If you don't want to see in their mindset and how they think then you can literally provide nothing from a campaign POV that will bring them back. Where does the 18-45 year old male have to go in the democratic party that has been telling them for decades that they are not superior and even inferior by certain far left groups. Guys like having ego stroked no matter what....guys need self confidence, guys need to feel needed. Democratic party at the top is so aloof at majority of their senior leadership because they still operate like this is the 80s, 90s, and 00s.
  20. Democrats really fucked up fucking him over in 2016, holy fucking shit
  21. Schumer and the entire DNC head that is trying to force Hogg out need to fucking go. Their ineffective in this era of politics.
  22. Do you enunciate patriarchy? What's the tone of the "fuck?"
