  1. I'm sure he hopes to but reality is he doesn't need to. The team should encourage him not to so that way they can move forward and find their coach of the future.
  2. I'll believe enforcement mechanisms when I see them actually be enforced and work.
  3. I think it would because there is the winter transfer window that allows for instant eligibility.
  4. Wonder what their attendance averages would have been if fans didn't try and convince the owner to keep the team there by showing up for once?
  5. He provides no proof either. Here is the full excerpt that you posted....it even says his new contract details haven't been released. And ofc the pro Indiana beat writer who authored the article and just took a quote from Goodman that may not even be accurate would make it appear that way.
  6. So far his formal meetings: Jets Raiders Cowboys
  7. Considering his new contract which was signed in December 2024 runs through 2032, there is no way they'd have a buyout of him leaving that low of 4 million. The 4 million tracks with his contract from 2021 due to it being his salary for each remaining on that contract. He also received a 2 year extension in 2023. His buyout if Iowa St were to fire him prior to his new contract was around 18 million. That doesn't include his december raise so potentially that buyout is even higher....I just can't imagine a world where TJ would have a ~$20 million school buyout but only a 4 million buyout if he left.
  8. I don't think that's completely accurate. The terms of his new contract haven't been released.
  9. I saw that but that was his contract from 2021. He was extended in December 2024
  10. Fairly industry standard across multiple different industries that you offer more money to go work in shitty areas.
  11. It's already been announced, what are you yapping about
  12. Revenue sharing world?
  13. By Gerry Hamilton Samari Matthews locks in Texas OV Texas cornerbacks coach Mark Orphey offered Hough High (Cornelius, NC) 4-star ++ cornerback Samari Matthews Monday. And three days later the 6-foot, 180-pound long-armed corner tells OnTexasFootball he has locked in his official visit to Texas. Matthews spoke against to Orphey yesterday, and will be making his OV to Texas June 13-15. He becomes the third corner prospect to lock in a June OV to Texas joining Jalen Lott and Jermaine Bishop Jr. What to know on Matthews ... Official visits: Clemson - May 30-June 2 Florida State - June 6-8 Texas - June 13-15 South Carolina - June 20-22 The 40 offers include SEC programs: South Carolina Texas Georgia Florida Auburn Alabama Texas A&M Tennessee LSU Ole Miss Arkansas Three year varsity starter at Hough High: 77 tackles, 4 INT's, 3 TFL's, 2 caused fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
  14. I could see true freshmen transferring.
  15. ~$10+ million new coach school buyout + $3-5 RT buyout + $1-2 million Assistant buyout = $14-17 million in basketball buyouts Plus the cost of new coaches contract + assistants and you're looking at potentially $20-26 million spent
  16. Or he's just a hard headed dipshit?
  17. Truth be told, Arch probably should have kept starting once he had taken over from injury. Even more so after Quinn was yanked in the 1st Georgia game....should have been Arch the rest of the way.
  18. After some googling it sounds like all 3 of these guys buyouts are around $10 million or more.
  19. Agree! Billy Donovan, you are a Texas Longhorn!
  20. This should be some kind of emote for the site.
  21. I think this go round the next coach will have a say so in his NIL budget more so than Terry did when hired. It will definitely be part of the negotiations that coach will need X amount of dollars in NIL a year to operate. I'd expect our revenue share to be about 3-4 million for basketball...we'll obviously need 3rd party NIL to stack the team. So if we are currently operating at 3-4 million in 3rd party and we can add another 3-4 million in revenue sharing that will help out a ton.
  22. Blake Munroe Yesterday On Texas Football broke the news that the nation’s No. 1 player overall for 2025, combo guard Aaliyah Chavez, would make her decision on March 25. She also spoke with OTF exclusively to break down her recruitment and to discuss the Longhorns. You can find those stories here: State Bound Aaliyah Chavez Talks Texas Announcement Date Set For Five-Star Aaliyah Chavez But what are folks saying behind the scenes of this recruitment? I checked in with multiple sources over the last two days to get the latest. On Her Top Schools: “She’s not going far from home. She took an official to UCLA, but she hasn’t visited South Carolina. Read into that how you will, but she’ll stay within a few hours of home.” “It’s going to be Texas or Texas Tech. Oklahoma has a shot due to their head coach, but it’s going to be one of those two.” “I’d be shocked if she left the state.” Regarding Texas: “There’s a level of familiarity and comfortableness with Texas. She likes Vic (Schaefer). She had a great time in Austin.” “Winners want to be with winners. She’s not oblivious to the fact that Texas is winning.” “Texas has surged with her over the last few months. They have to like where they’re currently standing.” The Factors In Her Recruitment: “People think this is about NIL. It’s not just about NIL. Her family is savvy regarding her popularity and knows she has a chance to be a superstar. They’re looking at the big picture, not just immediate NIL money.” “The whole Nike vs Adidas thing is definitely something being considered.” “Location, fan base, opportunities off the court and on it… that’s all playing a role.”
  23. Bo Davis is leaving LSU to coach DL for the Saints.
