  1. And THAT is the power of a monopolistic trust - they control such an incredible degree of social media, largely through acquisition, that they can go in dry on their customers AND their users and there's very little recourse
  2. This is good advice, but there's a TON of Americans that live in food deserts with no easy access to fresh food.
  3. But it pumps their stock, which lets them take out tax free loans against the fraudulent paper value.
  4. Well mainly from your earlier contributions being how it isn't as bad as it all looks because they aren't going into schools. And since that line has been crossed repeatedly I'm glad to see your acknowledgement of evil happening
  5. What grit did you use, 120-200 or somewhere in there? And just something like a handheld orbital sander?

  7. very important to emphasize that she's not calling him a liar - she's pointing out that he DID lie and admitted it She also noted Bovino himself has deployed tear gas without warning and lied about the circumstances that led to his actions. She said in Brighton Park on Oct. 4, video shows that "Defendant Bovino obviously attacks and tackles" a person to the ground, despite saying he never used force against that person. "More telling," she said, "Defendant Bovino admitted that he lied. He admitted that he lied that a rock hit him before he deployed tear gas in Little Village."
  8. I've found myself having this conversation with my in-laws as well, not something I would have imagined
  9. Daycare teachers and caregivers are being kidnapped by ICE in Illinois. Not sure if that's enough to make folks like @DaggerHorns care, even if she had a work permit and was a trusted member of the community.
  10. lulz like how Incredulity can only ever call me a communist. Nice
  11. WTF, 59-north into downtown had a fucking ICE checkpoint set up on it yesterday to do profiling against brown people
  12. Pretty good breakdown on the lawsuit from David Samson, former president of the Marlins, around how this is suit potentially exposes Ballmer to fraud charges TLDR - it's probably just a money grab, but they've got Ballmer cornered pretty nicely in that he's now papered as a co-conspirator with Aspiration in aiding their fraud
  13. You must not be familiar with the most recent manufactured panic over bail? Heaven forbid we open more judicial benches to scale with the population - just find reasons to deny bail
  14. The tariffs may go away, but the market damages won't. That business isn't coming back
  15. Ward Carrol has a good round-up of what's happening around Venezuela. Kind of crazy how similar all of this is to Clear and Present Danger, except it's an overt war instead of covert war
  16. I mean, at least it's a little closer to them finally being honest - they want to levy extra taxes on people that they don't like. Simple as
  17. Lol try telling that to the business board - you'll get called a friend of Castro for noticing how much infationary debt the oligarch class has taken out on their paper value stonks
  18. lmao what a great example of "every accusation is a confession" with the russian state media accusing the US of stoking divisions in russia
  19. the second half of that quote was of COURSE blaming democrats for the shutdown
  20. good lord they're all just a bunch of fucking liars
  21. Gotta say, Whitest Kids You Know re-uploading their videos with modernized titles is surprisingly relevant
  22. Most firms approach cybersecurity like outrunning a bear: you don't need to be the A-1 best/fastest, you just need to not be the worst/slowest. And tbh, just doing baseline security patching with defense in depth will be "good enough". No matter how much security you put in place, you're always vulnerable to social engineering attacks which will always sidestep most controls put in place
