Well, I thought I was pretty clear.  But this part of what I wrote is a reasonable summary:

The percentage of "good" people who are Muslims is no higher or lower than anywhere else. But their religion is broken. Look at the governments of Muslim majority nations. Look at the problems facing every nation with large Muslim minorities. Why do you think America will be any different?

No laws need to be changed. We just need to be very wary of Muslim immigration until we see change elsewhere.   Islam is not only a religion; it is a political belief system. Church and State are intertwined.

You can replace "muslim" or "islam" with christianity and judaism and not really change the message of your statement. Christianity is absolutely a political belief system in the US. Church and state ARE intertwined here - the WH used the bible as justification for their child abuse policy. You're using your perception of one religion while simultaneously ignoring the negatives of other religions to take a bigoted and prejudiced position.

Are they here legally or illegally? Specify your sarcastic hyperbole.

Well, the folks showing up at port of entries looking for asylum are actively being strategized against by the trump admin, despite following a legal process. In fact, people following the process are in fact being detained and separated. So yeah, I'm calling bullshit on your dogwhistle horse shit. People trying to follow the legal process are being punished because trump and his administration are sociopaths with an ultra-nationalist bent that expresses itself through dehumanizing and abusing CHILDREN.

Or we could just have a process to let people escape death with their family.

There is literally no public safety reason to break up and jail 99% of these families.

[GOP]Well you see, the children are brown, which means they will grow up to have abortions and commit crimes. Therefore we must cage them now so they won't infest our country[/GOP]

I don’t, so where does that leave us?

You do, you just won't admit it.

I don’t understand the relevance of Obama’s policy vs. Trump’s to enforce immigration law. Obama’s was better because his buns had no seeds?

Obama housed children that crossed on their own, who did not come with families, and were predominately 15-17 years old. Trump is broadly declaring ANYONE who crosses the border, even if they're asylum seekers, as criminals and animals and leeches AND on top of that taking their children away in a ploy to get funding for a wall that he said Mexico would pay for. This isn't simply seeds vs no seeds. This is Obama's gross realpolitik vs trump's (and his administration's) hateful xenophobia and nationalism. You're defending his policy with whataboutism. You and people like you are why trump is able to do these atrocities.

I understand that you’re responding to a point someone else made, so it’s contextual. But if families were housed in cages together rather than separating the children from the parents, is your position that this would be tolerated? I don’t understand the relevance of Obama’s policy vs. Trump’s to enforce immigration law. Obama’s was better because his buns had no seeds?

If you think that NOT ripping families apart is just a minor thing like having seeds or not on a bun, you're a fucking monster.

Cruz knows he will get hammered on this issue.

I had to call three of his offices before I found one that picked up / had an open voicemail box. He is getting hammered on this issue and he should be, being the child of an asylum seeker who overstayed their visa thereby being a LAW BREAKER AND WE SHOULD RIP APART HIS FAMILY according to the trump admin.

I’m still a little confused. Is the only reason they are separating the kids is to serve as a deterrent? Is there no other reason?

And SHS said they won't accept any bill to end separations that doesn't include funding for the wall. So they're also using these abused children as leverage.

Jesus Christ, they are not unaccompanied if they are with a parent.  This is not that difficult.

Well you see, once their parents are denied asylum or processed through a mass trial in which their defender speaks to them for maybe minute and then somehow ALWAYS found guilty, in a way that in no way resembles a kangaroo court, they're then """unaccompanied""" and become bargaining chips to soulless racists

You are not breaking the law by seeking asylum at a port of entry,” she continued. “For those seeking asylum at ports of entry, we have continued the policy from previous Administrations and will only separate if the child is in danger, there is no custodial relationship between ‘family’ members, or if the adult has broken a law.”

Issue is, they're denying asylum under fucking absurd pretenses. Women have been denied for "providing material support to terrorists" when in fact they were pressed into working for them for fear of physical harm. The trump admin is also simultaneously saying MS13 is the gravest threat possible to the US and denying people asylum from MS13. They're finding convenient ways to label these people as criminals and since they're brown, the GOP base just goes with it.

These are not US citizens.  They have no rights to a trial.  They have broken our law.  Send them home as great big, happy families.

What in the fuck are you talking about? Everyone has the right to a trial. Just because you weren't born here doesn't mean that you're subhuman, despite what you may think.

Do we have increased inflation ?  I see it being artificially created in the construction because of consumer demand.  Have we actually embarked on a trade war or is it still just pen rattling by Trump ?

Well considering the Canadians, you know one of our biggest trade partners, are doing dollar for dollar tariffs back at the US I don't think you can argue that a trade war ISN'T happening.

And yes, Trump's inflation rate is higher than Obama's if you leave out the 2011 double dip

If you just look at the construction industry you can see major employment gains.  I can't even get a contractor for 6 months because the market is so strong, and they can't find more people to employ. That's just my industry. Every segment of the economy  is seeing this trend. Whether that's Trumps doing remains to be seen, but its happening in his watch.

So let's talk about how much employment has improved, and not just the seasonal numbers that are always used to bolster Mr. Obamas numbers.

Employment is better, but with increased inflation and rising cost of goods from trump's "very easy to win" trade war AND stagnating wages, lower unemployment alone doesn't make much of a difference.

All the key witnesses have already been given immunity by the DOJ from the previous administration and most of the evidence has already been destroyed.

If the witnesses have been given immunity then they can be compelled to testify or face legal consequences. If she's so guilty and if there's so much evidence of her wrong doings, then why aren't they just simply subpoenaing your so-called witnesses to rebuild the case? There's literally no reason the trump admin can't do that

And here's a good value on that trade right now.  Buy the weekly expiry calls at the 33 strike price right now for .21.  Even if it gets back to 34 that's almost a 5x gain on your $$.  Straight gamble, but we could see it there by this afternoon as well.

I'm joining at .09! Lolz let's waste some gains from my AMD insanity

  16. No you're right anastasis, both are absolutely the same. Obama definitely issued military directives and announced foreign policy through Twitter all the time. No reason to be concerned about a leader using an insecure method to announce policy. Especially when they already have been skirting the presidential records act. No reason to take issue with that at all. It's not like the trump admin routinely lies to the American people or anything anyways right?
