Eaton has been a silent to aggy for a while. He was posing with all the aggy commits at the most recent camps.  Wouldn’t shock me if he’s making this trip to make this seem like a big aggy win after the recent blows with Broughton and Connor that we threw their way down.

One of these days, I’d REALLY like to see evidence of a grand recruiting conspiracy like this. I doubt it happens this way though.

Our friends from the TexAgs boards weigh in on the Yancy Effect:

Yeah, well, every one of those guys is not only a Nutritionist, but a Personal Trainer. In short, DOOMED/Clemsoned/etc.

Do they ever talk about winning or actual accomplishments?

Men and Women’s Track and Field isn’t nearly as entertaining as, well, literally every other sport that’s offered. Not sure what else there is to discuss.

Really smart to drink it up at a client property.

Didn't she also suggest that someone meet her there to continue talking shit to each other in person? Not that her posting history or life choices emanate intelligence, but this seems especially stupid.

This is an interesting point. How many teams believe they have the structural advantages that they should expect to be Top 5 every year?

I would think USC fits the list.  Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, and Clemson certainly would make that case. That leaves programs like LSU, FSU, Florida, Michigan, and Penn State off the list. Each of those programs can make a very similar argument as to why they should be Top 5 every year as Texas.

Texas has talent in its backyard, is the flagship school in its state, runs an offense suited to the talent it recruits in state, has a bottomless pit of donor financial support, a history of championships, and is on every single list of blue blood college football programs. The fact that Texas is a public Ivy only adds to this.

The list of schools that has ALL of those things built in is significantly smaller than the list you provided. CTJ is absolutely right in saying that the FLOOR should be top 5. I would say that USC is the only school that has anywhere close to the inherent recruiting advantages that Texas has.

Two kinds of people in the world see it this way: Aggies, and people with a personal ax to grind against Herman. Otherwise that is sort of the photo negative of Herman's resume.

It's not a good look when people read your opinion of someone and think, "Jesus, what, did he fuck your wife?"

Well that depends. Was his wife a stripper or a stewardess?

I am of the opinion we should make every effort to play them. We should constantly say we want to play them. It will never happen, A&M is too cowardly to put us on their OOC every season, so we might as well.

I actually agree with this. There's less than zero chance aggy ever actually agrees to play Texas. At some point, the media will catch on and aggy will never be able to live down that they've been running from Texas for years.

Post game douchiness with Sam and press conference bitchassedness.  Only Leinart handled a loss to Texas as more of a complete pussy.  Murray has low character.

It's astonishing to me that people don't think of the NFL as similar to any other professional environment. Someone who has shown a pattern of low character rightfully carries the weight of that perception until it's corrected through ACTIONS. Murray's attitude and character are under fire because they SHOULD be - at least until he shows otherwise.

Racism is generally not good for marketing I am told. Their mods should have immediately deleted that thread.

Not to mention the fact that their "mods" go on daily rants about Carrington that are filled with tons of hate and thinly veiled racism.
