Memphis beating SEC SEC SEC Ole Piss, Cincinnati beating UCLA. Add that to all of the other quality wins they have had over the past several seasons. They have earned a seat at the table and deserve the cash and playoff considerations that rest of the P5 get. I take the American over the PAC 12 any day. Tomorrow UH will beat OU again. Book it

Make no mistake y'all, I'm not happy that this is happening to Texas.
But maybe, just maybe, heavily-armed Texas going through this will be the end to the "good guy with a gun..." horseshit.

Conclusion of story.
Sister on a whim called into ATT a couple of days ago. Told the rep they were my aunt (never mind she has tried this previously) and they not only gave out the PIN, let her reset it over the phone. After sister got off the phone, she went to ATT website and created a portal of aunt's account, then proceeded to start canceling service. Only kicker now---ATT wants her to return the wireless equipment and DirecTV gear they have sent over the years...and none of it is present in aunt's house.
Two morals of the tale.
One, keep trying. Someone eventually in a large ass faceless organization like ATT will eventually relent and break whatever rules they have in place to prevent something like this from happening. In my sister's example, having my aunt's bday, address, SSN, date of first service and mother's maiden name was what did the trick.
Two, if your folks or other loved ones have cellular service, ask them to write down the PIN code and store it someplace or if they are willing to share, give it to you (or reset it if they've forgotten it).

Dude. The Whatachicken is a thing.
Granted, this example looks like shit, and you can get it either grilled or fried, but alas:

When all else fails, blame businesses for being poorly managed. If anyone knows anything about mismanagement, it would be our President

As Trump and his family pillage, grift, and steal everything not nailed down in Washington, there's this:
A national treasure, no matter what one thinks of his political views or his how effective his presidency was.
And then there's this. Sure, it's the Onion, and it's two years old, but damned if it isn't on point:
https://www.theonion.com/you-people-made-me-give-up-my-peanut-farm-before-i-got-1819585048
QuoteFor generations, U.S. presidents have gone to great lengths to avoid potential conflicts of interest. When I was elected, I followed suit by placing my small business in a blind trust to assure our citizens that I would always put the country’s interests ahead of my own. It’s a vital presidential tradition. That’s why I find it a bit curious that our new commander-in-chief has been allowed to ignore it.
For Christ’s sake, you people made me get rid of my peanut farm before you let me be president.
QuoteI grew up on that farm. When my father died, I moved back home and worked those fields with my own two hands to keep it afloat. It was a hard job, but it was so rewarding. It wasn’t just a business—it was the place I called home. Letting go of the family farm was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but I did it because the American people asked me to. I did it for their sake, without enthusiasm, but also without hesitation.
QuoteBoy, times sure have changed, haven’t they? I couldn’t help but notice that the current occupant of the White House owns more than 500 companies, has business interests across the Middle East and Asia, and owes hundreds of millions of dollars to banks he is now responsible for regulating. It seems a touch unfair that a bigger fuss was made about my little peanut operation than all his office towers, hotels, and golf courses combined. All I had was a farm, you know? A small, precious farm.
Seriously, it was just a few fields and a warehouse, and you idiots still appointed a special prosecutor and spent six months investigating it.
QuoteAnd where were my conflicts of interest, exactly? Seriously, do enlighten me, America, because I honestly have no idea. Did you worry I might be cutting deals in back rooms with the peanut butter lobby? Or that I might be too busy at harvest time to focus on the economy or the Middle East? Apparently, you did, and almost obsessively. Meanwhile, your new president holds a lease from the federal government to operate a $200 million hotel six blocks from the White House. I mean, come on!
Maybe I’m just a sucker. Apparently, all I needed to do was hand off control of the farm to my family. If I’d staged an elaborate song and dance about distancing myself—whatever that means—from all the day-to-day planting, picking, and salting, maybe I could have kept my peanut farm with the full blessing of you, the American people.

So, yeah. Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin had a campaign rally earlier today, and the special guest was Don Jr. Let's all bask in the massive crowd that came out:
If you squint real hard, you can make out Don Jr. up on the stage.
Anyway, he dropped a few nuggets today. Ahem:
EDIT:
Here's how Pike County, Kentucky (site of this rather impressive Republican Governor campaign rally today) voted in 2016:

I was reading to my daughter a few moments ago, and it occurred to me. I bet Trump has never read a fucking book or even a poem to any of his kids or his grandkids. Hell, he probably has never watched any children's programming or movies with any of them.
How sad it is that this thought occurred to me while reading to my 6 year old.

I have to wonder if Trump wishes he never ran for president. Endless investigations, lawsuits, etc can't be a good way to spend your final decade or so of life.
Dude could have just kept being rich and nobody would have cared.
He's not rich. He puts off the illusion he is, but rich people do not sell their name to be slapped onto meat, water, cheap ass neckties, etc. They don't have to. Trump doesn't own his name, he licenses it out to whatever sucker will give him an allowance. Rinse, repeat. Hey, I'm not knocking it---heckuva way to make a living. But rich people do not have to do this, nor do they want to. Warren Buffet's name isn't on cases of bottled water, and I suspect he is just fine with that arrangement.
If Trump were fucking loaded with multi-generational wealth and fuck you money and his taxes could prove it, he would have published that shit years ago.

Oh, I have no doubt. He would license his name to them for 7 figures, and they would gleefully pay it, because #MAGA.

Fox News willingly signed on to this craziness. They deserve whatever scorn Trump sends their way. History is full of people and organizations that Trump cozied up to, then treated like shit the moment they became less useful in his eyes. Loyalty to the President is only what you can provide today.
As for him bankrolling some kind of media project assuming he is out of office, that's wishful thinking. He would license his name to something existing, but he sure as shit can't afford to setup a pirate radio station in Juarez. Having a Twitter handle is the only thing his broke ass can afford.

Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI) announced on Monday that he will soon resign his House seat, citing family reasons. He and his wife, Fox News contributor Rachel Campos-Duffy, said their soon-to-be born ninth child will require heart surgery soon after her birth.
On Tuesday, Duffy explained that he had made sure the child will have access to health insurance despite her pre-existing conditions.
QuoteIt is laudable that the Duffy family is preparing to provide as much care as possible for a child with serious medical challenges. But as a congressman, Duffy voted to take away those same important protections for others with pre-existing conditions — directly contradicting his own campaign promises.
The couple went on Fox News on Tuesday morning to explain their decision and situation. Both discussed the challenging schedule a member of Congress must endure and expressed their commitment to being present for their family.
QuoteDuffy was asked what he and his wife planned to do about healthcare in light of the pre-existing condition their daughter will be born with and his resignation from his job.
He noted that former members of Congress don’t get health insurance for life and explained he plans to get a COBRA plan for his family — utilizing a 1985 law that allows people to pay to stay on their employers’ health plans at their own expense for up to 18 months after leaving a job.
Quote“We pay the full boat for that so we can transition and with the condition of the baby, we have that complete coverage,” Duffy said. “But, yeah, you are right. I had to look at that and make sure that with, open heart surgery, we had coverage to make sure that, you know, we could pay for that and we have got that worked out. So, thank God, that’s not a consideration as we look to the birth.”
While his daughter’s coverage will be protected for up to 18 months, after that in order to insure her the Duffys will need those pre-existing condition protections.
QuoteWhile Duffy promised as a candidate that he would protect insurance coverage for those with pre-existing conditions and would not back any repeal of the Affordable Care Act (commonly known as Obamacare) that did not include a replacement with comparable protections, his record in Congress shows just the opposite.
A 2011 PolitiFact examination of Duffy’s vote to fully repeal Obamacare with no replacement noted that as a 2010 candidate, he vowed he “would not vote to repeal the legislation unless a better proposal was in place.” Months later, he voted to repeal the legislation without any replacement. PolitiFact dubbed this vote “a Full Flop.”
QuoteDuring his eight years in Congress, Duffy repeatedly voted to destroy Obamacare and undermine the pre-existing condition protections. He enthusiastically voted for Trumpcare in 2017, which would have made insurance coverage significantly less affordable for those with pre-existing conditions, and just this May he voted against the Protecting Americans with Preexisting Conditions Act of 2019.
While legislative Obamacare repeal efforts are unlikely to go anywhere as long as Democrats control the House of Representatives, a Trump administration-backed lawsuit could imperil the law and some congressional Republicans have promised to kill the law in 2021 if they regain full control of the federal government.

I would go with a Brother color laser instead. They are very solid and the toner seems to be cheaper than other brands. The scanning software is also very easy to use. If you do not print regularly, ink will cause you grief.
This. Or any other brand small laser. Hell, even if you don't want color, a b/w laser is a much better proposition than an inkjet, even with a hog-trough tank.
Laser's can't do photo reproduction; I get that. But it's cheaper to send the pics to Walgreens or someplace and get digital prints vs the care and feeding of a ink based color or photo printer. Source: The Epson Pixma Pro 100 photo printer in my upstairs office at home that's rarely used.
