We don’t really know what we have at S, beyond Jerrin, because this staff played Foster and Schooler for nearly 1,000 snaps combined - despite the entire season being a tire fire. Any breathing human would’ve been an improvement. Hell, throw Sawyer Goram-Welch or Lauren Burke out there. Or you know rotate Kitan in at CB and move Cook or whoever to try them out, or maybe give Adimora more snaps since he could actually play football, play Coffey more than 30 snaps or whatever he ended up with.
Post-Baylor (really post-Q1 Arkansas) guys should’ve been liberally rotated in, and shuffled to different spots, to determine if they had any clay to mold. The season was FUBAR’d anyway. Ditto with that fucking spare Thornton, who I think was the worst defensive starter Texas has ever continued to trot out, no disrespect to the memory of Scott Derry, Killabrew, Christian Scott, Breckyn Hager.. FFS, that chucklefuck took 500 snaps. Replacing Thornton with a dead guy would’ve been an upgrade.

This may be the greatest thing ever posted to our $9.95 board. Bruin and NFL great Matt Ware posted this. So fucking funny. Probably won't get a lot of eyeballs on this board in this thread, but didn't know where to post it.
Haha. "still to this day 18 years later ..."

The numbers thing is confusing to me. I've read 7 and IT said that on their recent video, but I've also seen that it's different for this year bc of covid. Idk what's true. And then of course there's always some massaging that can happen.
Florida State currently has 9 transfers committed in this class though, so that seems like good evidence that 7 is wrong.
Seven is the total cap available ABOVE the normal 25 cap. It's even in the language from the SI post above ::
Quoteschools can sign 25 new players while gaining additional signee spots for each player who transfers out of their program—up to a limit of seven
that's a limit of 32 players. the seven cap is reached by having 7 or more players transfer out (like Oklahoma). This is why CTJ made several posts about OUs numbers for next season. they will be nowhere near the 85 limit because they have had mass attrition above and beyond the 7 player cap in the past 2-3 seasons.
the 32 can be reached via HS kids, JUCO, or transfers in any way.

Are you trying to tell me that a player from the recruiting portal that this staff has been telling be is basically a done deal, might not actually be a done deal at all?
Huh. Go figure. That would be unprecedented...for the amount of times it's happened in one offseason.I would also find it absolutely shocking that Arkansas would be in contact with him, I mean it's not like they've been recruiting guys from our roster all season...

I think Brown was a Mater Dei kid, right? Guessing he's going back to Cali but that's interesting ...

not sure if any of you remember when we attempted to hire this obvious sociopath away from Mack and UNC to be the player personnel guy but it looks like he decided to take the gig at SMU ::
quoting myself from his first pass at surly ::
Quotethis guy has skinned enough human beings to have his techniques down cold. He can do it and make skinsuits where the seams are nearly unidentifiable.

That Tech game still amazes me, as much as we all believe Leach to be motivated to beat their asses and his shit talking before the game. Then to lay an Egg that made Lady Kluck blush. Maybe he's back on the sauce.
I don’t think people realize how bad Wells was/is. McGuire is going to look like a genius if he is even average.

Who could’ve guessed while he was being recruited that Caleb Williams time at OU would be filled with drama and nonsense and that he and Rattler would be bad for the locker room?

my post was extreme sarcasm as in the staff doesn't believe in tampering.
They know it now but they didn’t know it was happening on their own roster for a long while.

The more I follow the portal, the more I believe the destination is known before they hit the portal.
A lot of the staffs (and support staff guys) have been recruiting all season off of other rosters.
