  1. He's giving his honest opinion and a lot of people agree with him. You just don't like it.
  2. Sure. But it looks like he was guaranteed to start at Duke again next year. Surprising if a bigger program would make that promise. Maybe Duke's NIL situation is bad, I don't know. But something kinda stinks here. Guess we'll find out soon enough.
  3. That would be absolutely shocking. He did nothing at Duke this year to deserve that kind of job. If he gets good NIL and a guaranteed starting position at a better program than Duke, it just shows how desperate some programs are right now.
  4. This is surprising. Duke had a nice W-L season but let's be honest, Maalik was fine at best. If he is getting looks/promises from bigger programs to start next year, that's great and I'm happy for him. But it's curious.
  5. I generally agree with all of this. Just as an exercise in trying to fully understand Sark's decision to stick with Quinn, I think he's worked hard to establish a healthy culture and a united locker room. And a QB controversy is something he's concerned will have a negative affect. From what I gather, the team loves and believes in Quinn and Arch. Leaders on the team support their starting QB. If we had blown a couple of games earlier it would probably be a different story. That said, we are at the point of the season where it's not about winning or losing the job at QB. We are in the playoffs and Sark needs to whatever is necessary to win.
  6. Totally different scenario. Arch next year isn't trying win the job over an already established 2 year starter and fan favorite like Major. He is clearly the man for the next 2-3 years.
  7. Alright, you're saying Moore fucked up. I completely disagree.
  8. Ok, so you're blaming Moore. No, I don't think Moore messed up. He ended up having to run horizontally towards the end to track that ball. It was a bad throw. It's very simple. That's not an indictment on anything else he did. But if we're gonna Zapruder one play, that was on Quinn.
  9. First of all, this play is about 8 yards further back compared to our play. Secondly, the WR was able to make an over the shoulder catch without having to contort his body. Thirdly, this a different team with different players. So I can only gather that you think Moore ran a poor route, which I don't believe is the case.
  10. I have no reason to believe this ball is supposed to be thrown where the WR has to to turn and make a back shoulder catch. And based on his body language attempting to make a play, neither did Moore.
  11. Yes, a perfect throw would have been an over shoulder catch right at the pylon. But Arch led him in the correct direction to make a fairly easy catch. Ewers throw was very bad, significantly short of the back pylon and more towards the sideline. What are we doing here? It's right in front of our eyes. Look at the route he's running and where the ball ends up. That ball lands closer to the front pylon.
  12. Again, here is video of Texas successfully throwing a slot fade this year. Watch Cook's shoulders and route, eerily similar to what Moore was doing. The goal is not to have your WR bend like fucking Gumby to make a catch. archcooktd.mp4
  13. He's still most likely right though. There's a reason Moore doesn't turn/flip his shoulders around when trying to run under it. The ball is not supposed to be thrown that far towards the sideline.
  14. As a Texas fan, I would love if Jackson Arnold went to Miss State. As a sports fan, I think it would be really dumb for Lebby to screw over Van Buren.
  15. We're on Year 3 with Quinn, winning lots of games and second year in the playoffs. It's a good position to be in. But I think a lot of fans have forgotten what great/clutch QB play looks like.
  16. It is 100% on the table that our offense is held to 20 or less points vs. Clemson. In that scenario, there are plenty of ways we can lose. Sark needs to take ownership of our struggles on that side of the ball and fix it. You cannot ask the defense to bail you out every single week, especially in the postseason. He's got 2 weeks to figure something out.
  17. This is a lazy take. Arch's ceiling is being a generational QB and he's the most nationally hyped player we've ever had. He'll deservedly have a very long leash with fans.
  18. Have to remove this route and throw from the playbook right now. The competition is too good, Ewers is not 100%, a very long sideline throw, the risk is not worth the reward. There have to be easier ways to get a first down.
  19. That reminds me, did ya'll hear pre-game where one of the reporters mentioned that Quinn said he was "75%" before the game? WTF? WHAT THE FUCK????
  20. Let's remember that the issues most people are bringing up are not specific to the UGA game and were discussed in games we won. So these aren't reactionary criticisms out of nowhere because we lost. I agree this was not one of Quinn's worst games. There are 20 things we did wrong, not all on Quinn. But some on here will act like Quinn is just 1 of 11 players on the field and that everyone needs to do their job equally, which is ridiculous. QBs are paid the big bucks (literally, now in college) to make plays.
  21. Watching the replay, what I love about the Arch run vs. A&M is he wasn't trying to get a 1st down. He was trying to score. Fucking A.
  22. I uploaded it to Surly. I think you can download but not sure if it can be linked.
  23. Put together a highlight reel for Arch's 2024 season. Hopefully we can add stuff from the playoffs. arch season highlights.mp4
