  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvxopAUHDVM Link to QBSchool's film study of Stroud from last week's game.
  2. Will Anderson is a certified badass and another high character leader on the team. He's been really good so far and will get better.
  3. These fines/suspensions are out of control.
  4. This seems like a pretty clear case of his draft position currently not being good enough. With injuries and loaded QB class, I highly doubt he's a first round grade right now. If Quinn goes nuts in the next few games and we make the playoff, maybe that changes. They're leaving the door open but know it's unlikely he will go early. I also would guess Arch and his family have zero problem with being QB2 next year.
  5. A&M is a weird job with an institutional culture that is not ideal for an outsider. To be successful, they should hire a red ass, proud Aggie. Lean into the male cheerleaders and stupid shit. Bring back the Wrecking Crew moniker and working class attitude on the field. Hopefully they fuck it up though.
  6. I don't think Campbell would leave. He has zero experience with recruiting/NIL and the learning curve would be steep. But I agree long term he would be the best hire for A&M.
  7. The only reasons Campbell wouldn't consider A&M is he's been an NFL lifer in the coaching ranks and he's got Detroit in a great place. The dude is a red ass Aggie.
  8. Look, I'm the same way. I've always described myself as a Houston Oilers fan. Bud Adams fucked us. I still rooted for the Tennessee Oilers because of the players. Then when Houston passed on VY, I became a Titans fan until Jeff Fisher fucked that up. I have never fully given my fandom to the Texans organization. I would watch occasionally, but never lost an ounce of sleep over playoff losses. Demeco and CJ changed everything for me. Great coach, great QB, great people. I want my 6 year old son to have a professional football team to root for. We have that now. I'm 100% in. Call that fairweather or whatever, I don't give a shit. I'm old and am not gonna invest my emotions in a professional team until they show signs of of potential excellence. LFG.
  9. Peter King with lots of words about CJ Stroud. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/fmia/news/fmia-week-10-c-j-stroud-taking-off-while-its-time-to-ground-zach-wilson?cid=fmiatw
  10. What's scary is CJ and Tank Dell are not even in rhythm yet. These guys are tied at the hip even off the field so it's only a matter of time.
  11. I really like Pierce, but Singletary showed today how you run in this offense. Sneaky MVP of the game.
  12. Defense is a banged up, ragtag crew but they went after Burrow today and fucked some shit up. We know Demeco will continue to get the best effort out of them. Will Anderson hasn't made many individual plays yet but he's a disruptor and I feel he's close. Remaining schedule is super favorable. Shit is getting real!
  13. What we're seeing is the proof that QB is the most important position in sports. Texans are for real. CJ is him. This is just the beginning. LFG.

    9-1

Sark has done a phenomenal job changing the culture. We've used the portal super effectively. The players seem to love/respect him and play hard for each other. That Whittington/Worthy hustle play on Quinn's pick was beautiful to see. But Sark has an issue on Saturdays. His plan of attack and in-game instincts on the offensive side of the ball just don't make any sense. This is not a leaky roof. It's a structural issue that needs to be audited and properly addressed this offseason. I'd guess that letting Milwee or someone else call plays during the game would be a great start.
  15. I want to say this while Texas is 8-1 and up 20 vs. TCU, so that it won't come off as a reactionary comment. The biggest issue with this team is on the offensive side of the ball. 35% we are elite. 65% of the time we look like absolute shit. Ewers way off the mark, questionable playcalling, we stopped running tempo for some reason, procedural penalties, miscommunication, etc. I can't pretend to know the inner workings, but it feels like Sark is overwhelmed with HC/play calling duties. I really like Sark. I absolutely love his scheme. The skill positions players are beasts, the offensive line good. But something is clearly off, and it needs to be properly addressed.
  16. No, but that was an incredibly dumbfounding offensive performance. The rumor tracks to me.
  17. I had no idea about Arthur Smith's background until a couple of days ago. His dad founded FedEx and he climbed the NFL coaching ladder in Tennessee? WTF. He's the poster boy for nepotism.
  18. Seriously. I'd rather look at FAs at WR if anyone (like Mike Evans) is interested. CJ can clearly work with what he's currently got, and I expect Tank Dell to be a superstar combo with him. Draft needs are OL, DL, LB, and DBs. The rest will take care of itself.
  19. That was my favorite Texans game ever. Holy shit, that was entertaining. I don't know what to say anymore about Stroud. He legitimately had a rough 1st half and still ended up with otherworldly numbers. Incredible that we can confidently believe this guy will be a top 5 QB for the next decade. Tank Dell...man. A legitimate badass hooked up with a franchise QB. He's gonna light up the league. And props to Demeco and staff for FEEDING him. So many injuries on defense, but they fought hard all game. I'm fully on board the Texans bandwagon. LFG
  20. Sorry, I don't buy this bullshit from Golden. Oh, now that YOUR family and constituents are in possible danger, you've changed your mind about assault weapons? Fuck you. Too many people in the country are unable to empathize unless they are directly affected. Again, fuck you. This is just political survival and an act of selfishness disguised as something noble. And mostly everyone falls for it.
