I love that Trump's new black best friend is named Lil Pump, without any sense of irony that that's what Stormy Daniels nicknamed him on her fansite years ago.

Who wants to tell him? People like Lobo with their microagressions of general bias and assumptions is problematic. Especially if he's involved in Diversity & Inclusion activities as he mentioned he is. Sorrowful.

There wasn’ta single reason in that paragraph.

Seriously, just own the SC justices, tax cuts, or whatever.  But the weak integrity and true to yourself is just platitudes.

That's fair. I'm still processing through this myself.

What do you mean by this?

I thought I might not vote for Trump and had vaguely, sort of wishy-washily built up some mental justifications and a case for not doing so over the past few weeks in anticipation of it being crisis of self, but when it came down to the actual ballot and myself staring down that barrel, I reverted back to what was comfortable and easier for me to do (both socially/culturally and politically) and I voted for Trump again.

I don't know if I have kept my integrity or if I am a coward. Probably equal parts both, ammirite?

  4. Well, I voted for Trump. Didn't think I'd do it, but ultimately when it comes to nut-cutting time, we see what we are willing to sacrifice of what we think we know and love and believe.

That said, I won't lose one bit of sleep when he, overwhelmingly likely, loses and no matter who wins I am going to be gracious and calm and look on the bright side ad then move on with the day.

  5. The first one opened in London recently. It looks more like high-tech pinball (has the microchip ball, like TG): https://www.bunkered.co.uk/golf-news/incredible-new-putting-facility-to-open-in-london-this-month

Say hello to Puttshack, the new kid on the mini golf block.

Described as the ‘world’s first super tech indoor mini golf experience’, Puttshack is set to open this month at Westfield London.

Sprawling across 20,000sq/ft, this innovative food, drink and technology concept is the brainchild of the masterminds behind pioneering ping-pong venue Bounce and the global golf phenomenon TopGolf. So it can’t possibly fail, right?

The Hunter Biden stuff is meaningful only in the sense that it highlights our overall corrupt economic and political system. Even though Biden himself is (as far as we know, but is challenged by less-than-reputable sources) basically an ascetic by DC terms, the machine is so constructed that even the ascetic can't be immune to the surrounding current of wealth and power.

But we're not in a normal, everyday situation where we can calmly note the background hum of corruption when examining Biden.

We're up against Donald God Damned Trump, and in the context of putting it up against Trump? lol it's a gnat's fart in a hurricane

    It's a joke.

So much this. Yes Hunter Biden and Joe Biden suck. But more so yes, read the rooms.

The CEO, Dolf Berle, is a friend of a friend.  Hung out with him a couple of times. Interesting dude. A South African who went to college in Zimbabwe and at Harvard. He's ran a ton of companies like House of Blues.

I know him well and did some deals with him when he ran Dave & Busters.

I work very closely with Infogain to do some stuff with TG and heard this was coming, interesting exit from Private Equity for TG especially with all the hype I was hearing of their new concept, which was shut down during Covid, called PuttShack or something as a mini-golf reimagination and treatment.

I really like AOC so I'm glad you brought her up. I may not be around by the time she really hits her prime, but man I do hope her generation and the one after it are allowed and encouraged to spread their wings. No offense to you all (of the white males), but I'm a little weary of the old, white puppetmasters (Kochs, et al) and seeing young and upcoming grifters (Jacob Wohl, Charlie Kirk) gets depressing. Why do more people admire the Charlie Kirks and not the other ideals? Sigh.

    Whoa, are you like 80?

  9. The saving grace of this recent rioting and unrest is that it seems to be muted by way of not being amplified by the larger media machine. With all eyes and focus on the election, there isn't as much external oxygen to give this round of unrest much potential to rage on and on and on...and on and on and on, seems to be the good news.

At least this is my perspective as someone who consumes the same amount and same mediums of news who has been served content and commentary about Philadelphia and otherwise, at about 1/3 of the amount it seems (repeating, of course /leeroyjenkins).

there is no "woe is me" but the target on the back is both large and heavy and you have to find a way to make a "lather, rinse, repeat". My next year could suck, I could be in a new role or with what I would define as a untenable or lousy comp plan.

Heavy is the head that wears the crown, Mr. Naus.
