Billy Liucci reacts to Saban's 'ridiculous' accusations against A&M By Billy Liucci Nick Saban poured gasoline on the Texas A&M-Alabama rivalry last night, claiming that the Aggies "bought" their entire recruiting class while the Tide didn't pay a single player. TexAgs' co-owner and executive editor Billy Liucci offered his thoughts on Saban's "ridiculous" claims. Key notes from Billy Liucci’s response Most around the country recognize the hypocrisy. Most see a guy who knows he only has a year or two left in this thing. He knows he’s going to retire soon. Sooner than people think. He doesn’t want to change or adapt to the times. He’s showing a little lack of class to take a story that’s made up and wildly exaggerated and fabricated. To do that to a former colleague and friend in Jimbo Fisher, if I was Jimbo Fisher, I'd go whip his ass. The next time I saw him, I’d punch him in the face. You’re calling into question and man’s integrity and the integrity of the players. That entire class does NOT have NIL deals. Nothing even close to that. I’ve said before that there are 11 players from that class on campus right now, and I think only one of them has an NIL deal of any significance outside of some local mom-and-pop stuff. It was pretty disgraceful to see Saban go that route, but to be honest with you, I kind of love it from a rivalry standpoint. I hope Texas A&M brings a really good football team up to Tuscaloosa this year because if there is any type of real build-up between two highly ranked teams, that could be the game of the year in college football because of what Nick Saban did. There is bad blood there. What Saban did probably ended any kind of friendship those two have ever had. I wouldn’t think they’d be on speaking terms after that. Then you’ve got Lane Kiffin being a clown on Twitter as well. I think Saban did this to get at his own donor base to get them to jump in more than they are. I've said before that I think A&M donors need to step up even more on the NIL front because it's not anywhere near what you think. People around the country don’t realize that. For Saban to call out A&M and the players and the families in the class like that... Nobody has ever said that A&M isn't in the NIL game, but the accusation of buying recruits is the only reason that class was put together was pretty disgraceful on his part. To act like Nick Saban is not one of the most notorious payers of athletes is laughable. I do think this was calculated. I also know that Saban has coached with guys throughout this sport that know how he recruits. Jimbo Fisher has worked with him. People that have worked with him over 20 years are scattered across the country, and they all know how Saban recruits -

OU 9.95er It may not be final as of now, but it appears that OU and UT will likely be in the SEC in 2023, but no later than 2024. OU coaches are reluctant to talk, but some top recruits have repeated 'hints; that 2023 is the initial year, with spring sports obviously jumping in 2024. The elephant in the room is of course, money. Who pays what and how much? Apparently, some kind of deal has been worked out between the conference, (SEC) and the television networks. OU and UT may take a reduced payout for a few years relative to the other members to help solve the financial issues, but neither team would take less that what they would have received in the Big 12. Of course until we get the official word, nothing is set in stone. QUESTION: When will we know for sure? ANSWER: When the SEC, Joe C and UT make a joint announcement, or when an OU or UT coach confirms. But the final decision would be need to be made before the SEC releases the 2023 schedule this fall. The 2022 schedule was released on September 21, 2021 and we would expect a similar date this fall

Here is the aggy piece From Burton on IT if A&M can allegedly openly flaunt rules governing recruiting and fear no retribution, why can't other schools via a legalized method called NIL? I could tie myself up in knots thinking about the problems here and not find many solutions. But it all starts when people don't play fair, when they make a mockery of existing rules. A&M backers did that IMO. So blaming donors of other schools for pushing NIL to the gray area is only a natural result. Will A&M ever get punished or investigated by the NCAA over any of this? I don't know. I doubt it. The NCAA and its cohort seem to be too busy with true NIL issues caused by their own malfeasance instead of what appear to be nefarious ones dealing strictly with recruiting -

Jason Howell Staff 10:40p, 4/10/22 Let's talk about the weekend Well you guys saw there was an open back and forth between several top 2023s on Twitter this evening. Johntay Cook tweeted "A weekend to remember" and the discussion went from there with Tony Mitchell, Javien Toviano, and Malik Muhammad among those chiming in. It appears there's a group discussing their college plans and maybe trying to replicate what the Aggies did in 2022 with the 2023 class. No decisions were announced, but it is pretty evident the Aggies made some strong moves this weekend. Let's start with Johntay Cook. Texas and Texas A&M have been the subject of much talk with the DeSoto standout. He has not narrowed his list to those two but the Aggies and Longhorns are definitely the most discussed as his leaders. I have always heard the Aggies were in a great spot there and possibly the leader and this weekend I hear the Aggies have only strengthened their position. Now for Malik Muhammad. He has made no secret of his interest in Texas A&M. He has said they are in his top five numerous times and has already stated the Aggies would get an official visit. That said, going into the weekend word was Alabama and Nick Saban was making a strong punch for the top spot. After the weekend, sources tell me the Aggies have made a strong move of their own and it sounds like they may have made their way to the top of his list. Arlington Martin standout Javien Toviano made a surprise move when he made his way to College Station twice this week. He visited Thursday and returned on Saturday. He has always spoken highly of the Aggies, but this week was the first time visiting in 2022 and there was a lot of thought the Aggies needed to get him on campus again to be a real contender. Consider it mission accomplished. Toviano continues to play things pretty close to the vest but today he made it pretty clear he enjoyed himself this weekend. Sticking with the DFW the Aggies also hosted Denton Ryan 5-star LB Anthony Hill. A&M and OU are the programs I continue to hear the most about in this one, and this weekend he kept a close eye on the LBs and the defense. Next on his visit schedule is a trip to Miami next weekend and then he will attend OU's spring game. Texas A&M commit Anthony James will also visit Miami next week. The Aggies first commitment of the 2023 class visited has been open about his plans to take visits and this weekend he visited SMU before attending his prom. He also has visits scheduled to Washington on April 28 and Georgia in May. He visited Texas A&M last weekend and he has been in communication with the staff about his visit plans
