yea its been so long i had blocked out how bad the big12 was about not calling holding on them , or maybe conversely how bad they were at calling it on us.
playing bama the season before we moved was eye opening, like hell ya this gonna be good
yea this has come up multiple times, my pet theory is a large part of Vegetables struggles are two fold
1. NIL and and Brokelahoma
2. The advent of the helmet changes post-michigan scandal
thats one heck of a 1-2 punch
thats why this site is special imo. its topic based instead of random idiocracies of thought. i think the mods do a pretty A job of merging and renaming threads so we don't suffer the travesties other sites do of 1000 threads about X . there is one thread about X , put that shit in there
Edit : also please rename the Ewer thread to QB Regarded Hot Takes or something equally dumb because that shit should be contained
this is what i'm looking for the next few weeks , the other three are
does Baxter returns to form against a non NFL line ?
similarly who are our top receivers in their position groups ?
does our team show consistency against inferior teams / are they disciplined ? should see a heavy dose of rotations and back ups early
i think the 3 of these questions tells us whether or not we have a playoff potential team
Texas 42 - we see some KJ Lacey
SJSU 10 - heavy rotation on the defensive side of the ball early
Rushing Yards - 200
Also we'll see the QB hot takes continue until the end of time , we'll see a lot of 'where was this play last week'
small ST mention, if Wisner is receiving and he's in the end zone he needs to stay there. He's not fast enough.
Receiving from the 30+ ? Run it along , but otherwise that juice aint worth the squeeze
Reality is Sark is a great OC, an average to above average HC.
Right now he's our Franklin, and after a decade of misery thats not bad.
I think he's struggling to understand the nuance between designing the offensive system, and running the moment by moment Offense so he can focus on being a great HC . He needs his Gus Malzahn
If he does this everyone wins , he just has to learn to let go a bit
