There are no details. There is nothing. You just want to believe there are details. He did nothing. He is a whimp who can’t negotiate for shit.

Ok Freud I dont want to believe anything. I am on the record here criticizing his strategy and tactics.

But it looks like there is s good chance this might have worked to a degree. I’m willing to admit when I am wrong.

Think you are dead wrong here. And so was I, for the record. Looks like standing up to China’s nonsense might have yielded some progress.

Devil is always in the details.

If the CBs haven’t changed, it’s ND. They’ve already written their commitment stories.

You cannot sell recruiting subscriptions without creating fake drama. Do you even 9.95, bro?

I wouldn't sweat it.  Sarcasm is most fun when some folks don't get it. You are rather funny although calling someone's dad a faggot is straight epic

Just to be clear, I did not call someone"s dad a faggot. I called the poster outright a faggot.

I'm hearing the same thing as Bill. Banks doesn't have a commitable offer from anyone besides aggy. I'm hearing that the UT staff has basically stopped recruiting him because they have numerous guys on the board above him. He's also got some character issues that I can't get into but needless to say he's not Texas material.

But all of this is very fluid and if he does eventually commit to the good guys just remember that I said it was fluid so I'm not wrong.

I hope you do not think you are funny.

How can UT be expected to pull in players from Lake Travis and Bowie? Both of those schools have huge anti-UT bias. Also I hear that OSU and Stanford are paying the players and the coaches and the other students. And UT didn't want either of them anyways, so who cares.

Your schtick was funny about 450 posts ago.

    Per TFloss

Cal grad transfer RB Tre Watson told OrangeBloods he will be making his commitment today.

I think he has told about 35 different people over the course of 8 or 9 days he was committing that day.

How Oscar Giles is allowed to be a point on any recruitment at this time is beyond me. He’s utterly incompetent at the work and just fucking wrecked us by falling asleep at the wheel on the Leal effort. If they lose Nana because of his mediocrity, I’m vomiting in a Fedex shipping box and sending it Priority to his attention in Belmont.

He better be the best developer of talent in the history of the sport to justify his job at Texas.

Barton Simmons explaining how Roschon Johnson's "tape" is an issue holding him back is perfectly personified by this GIF.

I am trying to remember that one time that Shane had 598 yards and 10 TDs in a fucking Playoff Game.

"Johnson is a once-in-a-generation player," Riordan told the Houston Chronicle. "He played a fantastic game for them tonight and did everything he needed for them to win."

Yeah, high 3-star makes sense. Fuck off Barton Simmons, you fucking cunt.

After the 2006-2011 classes, I realized the inherent corruption in class and playing ratings so I learned to not give a fuck about about the number of stars a long time ago. Not sure which player finally pushed me to that realization (Taylor Bible?) but it's obvious fan sites are not exactly a great place to get unbiased research on a recruit.

Even Nahlin was going on about how he had placed a wager with other member sites about the final Texas class rating. I mean, shouldn't he at least pretend to be impartial?

How Jalen Reagor was not the undisputed top rated player in the state last year tells you all you need to know about stars and various rankings.

Still no Chris Warren III sightings I guess.  Dude had burned his bridges at Texas (or failed all his classes) and took the only path open to him, and now what?

Between being slow, often injured, having a bad attitude and playing out of position I really cannot see what the reluctance is.

  11. Anyone watching how we substituted and utlilized receivers situationally would be hard pressed to think we have done a good coach receivers. Not to mention watching a lot of top end players cool on us for completely understandable reasons.

Pretty surprised Holton hasn’t been drafted yet

Anyone  surprised Holton Hill slid down the draft is either a complete moron or a Longhorn homer of the highest order. When you are so addicted to weed that it actually prevents you from playing for your team in college, NFL scouts are not likely going to suggest to a GM you draft that guy.

So maybe they weren't so dumb drafting an extra wide receiver

People who look at the draft in a one dimensional , semi-retarded way like several fans on this board have demonstrated maybe judge each pick without context but not everyone is that stupid.

Unless you are the New England Patriots who are one player away from a dynasty you should always look at the draft as a place to stockpile talent. Hell, even the New England Patriots who are usually one player away do not draft for need.

A team that drafts for back-ups fails. This has been a frustrating draft watching the Cowboys get a thousand WR’s, a QB they didn’t need and a backup RB. You find backups in the open market and on practice squads, not in the draft.

Going through the players they took today and looking at where they were projected, it's clear Dallas took guys who looked like value. The QB was a 3rd round projection and you need to think of him like an asset. Good teams stop drafting for need and draft for value and use those players as trade bait or look to trade someone one already on the roster. The RB in the 7th round? You rarely keep 7th round players anyway. You might as well go for the one who has the most inherent upside.

The draft is about accumulating assets. Teams that pick for need do not get it.

  15. Mallik absolutely made the wrong decision to leave. Until the very end he was a physical specimen with virtually no instinct for the position and he will be drafted as such. He could have benefitted the most from playing his senior year.

If Connor keeps falling or if he knew he was not a first round pick I bet he would have stayed. I think there was a lot of echo chamber/fan site group think that may have lesdhim down this path. If his height and wing span are the limiting factors, that should  not have been a revelation to anyone.

There are three ingredients to a high draft pick. Skill, Hype, Winning Team.

you can use any amount or combination of those three ingredients. Hopefully it’s mostly skill as to why you are drafted that high, but usually the most skilled players will be on a winning team and will subsequently be hyped up.

However, being on a losing or average team hurts your draft stock. It’s a fact. Being on a lower level team hurts your draft stock. If that Boise State LB or UTSA DE played for Ohio State, they would have been Top 10 picks. Media hypes up the bigger team players.

Connor had Skill and Hype covered after his junior year. He was projected as a Top 10 pick.

His skill took a hit with bad film and injury his Senior year. There was no winning team to bump him up a little. So the Hype could only support him for so long before crumbling

I must have slept abd missed Connor’s senior season.

Agree with this and I don't even care for college football anymore.

Unless it is blood family, weddings are a horrible waste of time. Just send a nice gift. People get married so often anymore the idea of a big ceremony where everyone travels is such an outdated tradition. This has nothing to do with football season, really. People should not waste copious amounts of financial resources on what amounts to a lame dinner party with people you do not frequently see.
