lol.  I mean, I know you've been following recruiting for the past handful of years and this exact scenario has played out multiple times.  Of course they can do it again if they back up the truck.  They will continue to do it  until our boosters finally get pissed off and this shit gets back to the old SWC days.

Make no mistake, our boosters aren't going to flex until they are embarrassed.  They should be now, but apparently they aren't.  Maybe it takes getting our ass kicked by aggy on the field.  Maybe the Stewart recruitment wakes them the fuck up.  Who knows.  But until that happens, we'll continue to lose guys every year where aggy 'comes out of the blue and locks them down'.

We are going to the SEC and they are in full on buy mode to make sure they have a big head start.  Surprisingly they haven't fucked it up yet.  Kudos to them for now I suppose.

After year 3 or 4 of getting beat down by them, our boosters will hopefully wake up. If not, then we are officially Michigan of the South.

I would like examples of where children in VA public schools are being told they are racists with this whole CRT stuff.  If you have them great, I am truly interested because I don't think that should be taught that way in schools.  If you don't have them then I would say your law school friend is a fucking moron if that is the reason they voted the way they did.  Not saying they should have voted one way or the other just that if that is "the reason" they are dumb.  I am not an east coast elitist but I can call someone an idiot if they do idiotic stuff.  Someone that votes one way or another because of stuff like CRT fears, or trans gender fears, or gay marriage fears are morons.

Is gay marriage fears still a thing?

Your friend is as much a victim of propaganda as this veteran is. When asked for a specific stance, it's nothing but emotional rhetoric with no basis in reality.

Weaponized victimhood has been coopted by the right from their evangelical base .

TIL that the right has “weaponized victimhood”. I wonder who they learned that from?

No no, I'm very aware that how you feel overrides what your lying eyes tell you if you've been inundated with enough propoganda.

You're doing an excellent job of demonstrating my point that gop voters are jumping at ghosts and being useful idiots for the Republicans. The fact that the republicans are winning races on boogeymen non-issues is a harbinger for further regression and damage to our democracy.

Seriously, can any of you right leaning folks point to one single REAL concern with CRT? Something that's more than "bigly many people bad CRT big badda boom"?

You sound like a whiny little bitch…

This. Will Republicans read the room here and realize Trump 2024 needs to be put to pasture ? Or will they read this as a "Trump" victory..

Agreed. I said the same thing to my wife earlier. However, Trump is too self absorbed not to realize that tonight is a complete and utter repudiation of him and NOT an endorsement. Sigh…

  6. This is a great night. Tonight solidifies that 2020 wasn’t about people loving Biden but more so about voters hating Trump. America chose incompetence over narcissism. We were losers either way but at least Biden is less exhausting.

Just glad to see that Virginia/Minneapolis/NJ? isn’t interested in the woke bullshit.

Pretty much the same coaches?  Or if we cherry pick, I'lll take the Saban that is at Bama and not michigan St.  I'll take the Mel Tucker at MSU, not Cu

You're saying you'll take Dave Aranda at 7-1 over Dave Aranda at 2-7.  His overall record is 9-8, over two years, that's a worse percent than Sark's lifetime coaching record.  His year 1 is far worse than Sark's year 1 here.  Before we run the "He's a first year coach regurgitation" so is Sark and Aranda took over an 11-3 team.  Sark?  Took over for Herman.  Your next argument will be, Baylor was 11-3?  Who was their coach?  Matt Ruhle. Wow we should hire Matt Ruhle. Yes, I'm down. But Matt Ruhle's year 1 record at Baylor is 1-11.  year 2? 7-6.  year 3?  11-3.And let me guess, Matt Ruhle was good enough to coach in the NFL, so take that CTH!  Matt Ruhle has an 8-15 NFL record and a 47-43 cfb record.  So yes I will gladly take Matt Ruhle's year 3 and Aranda's year 2, I guess.

Lolol at Stewart at aggy.  He can enjoy his mediocre stats there.  They have plenty of talented WRs.  Preston, Demas, Smith, Wright, etc.  none of them produce and it’s because that offense features the TEs and RBs.  His dad didn’t want him to commit to Texas in the first place and they have made it clear they are looking for money.  Our freshman WR is blowing away any aggy WR when it comes to stats.  Sark literally won Devonta Smith the Heisman.  This kid had no interest in aggy and now all of the sudden they lead over Bama, UF, Texas, ou and other schools that actually have WR production.  Aggy gave him the offer he wanted and it’s easy to see.  Outside of Texas, if he were to pick a school, I’d rather him go there.  Enjoy blocking Evan.  We’ll be fine with Thompson and Worthy scoring.

Be careful. Several posters will start claiming you’re a big pussy for conceding Stewart to the aggies.

If you guys need a pickmeup from the depressing commentary from the assholes up thread, it was reiterated today that, for whatever reason, Texas is extremely confident in locking up these guys that will be signing day stories. I know that whatever the staff is, especially guys like Banks and Davis, it isn’t naive. So, I guess we’ll see, but I figured I’d at least pass that on if it pulls someone back from a spree shooting.

Also, there are rumblings of Fat Patty getting a Mack Brown-esque push out at year end and LSU going for a grand slam move. I’m dubious on the Patterson stuff, but it was said with certitude. The LSU thing would potentially lead to suicide here so we can leave it be and hope they wind up with Aranda or Fisher.

Remind me who the signing day stories are?

On the last drive against Oklahoma State, before we decided to allow them to score, we played 6 men in the box with both of our safeties more than 20 yards from the line of scrimmage when we had to defend the run at all costs. That’s when I knew this season was forsaken and our only hope was to drop bags of cash on recruits to be a good team again.

I don’t care how we do it, but people involved in Texas football should act with the same desperation A&M did when they gave Jimbo 75M dollars. Its time for us to go full on Georgia recruiting machine and right now.

    This is the answer.

Meh I hear you but I think we'd be pretty evenly matched this year. Their O is bad. I think we'd win next year bc they lose so many guys. Who knows after that.

Also don't forget about the portal. Theoretically we could fix the trenches in one offseason.

Yeah I don’t think so. Unfortunately they can run the ball as well as stop the run pretty well. That would be a killer for us.

I’ll be shocked if our trenches problem is fixed in a year. There’s no reason our D-line shouldn’t be the strength of the team.

Yeah I live just NE of DFW, I'm still in (corrupt) Dallas county but not by much. It was just short of an hour to get from the place I parked to my local Tex-Mex hole in the wall of choice.

What is your local Tex-Mex hole in the wall of choice? Need to check this place out if it's good.

Is the NFL still going to have Eminem as part of the halftime show?

    Because I like irony.

This proves it’s all bullshit. We live in a selectively sanctimonious world. Some offensive things get a slide while others get the death penalty.

This was a hit job on Gruden. He pissed someone off and they went after him by digging up these emails.

A football coach is a piece of shit Neanderthal. Wow. Shocking. It’d be news if a coach was an open minded empathetic nice guy.

This is why our football team is soft.

What Gruden did is unprofessional and insulting. Meanwhile, Chappelle is a comedian. His fucking job is to make fun of shit. And when shit gets real, you can tell how serious he is when he’s addressing an issue. Drives me nuts these fuckers going after comedians. Their job is to make uncomfortable shit funny. Ok whatever.

Watching Gruden crash and burn is awesome. He’s so fucking annoying and is not the savior coach many have claimed

Did you ever consider Gruden was trying to be funny? What about any regular Joe cracking jokes? We draw the line on comedians?

I don’t care what people say. People are more accepting now. Wasn’t that the goal?

Scip would complain about any S&C coach. He maybe right, I  dont know. Becton is not an innovator, but given his history I dont think he is necessarily a negative. The term JAG comes  to mind. The real issue is the defense is bad. The edges are held up by the likes of Jett Bush, when simple physics will tell you he isnt going to win many match-ups. The defense is set up to funnel plays to the LBs and Safeties, when neither are very good or tackle particularly well. Those are much bigger issues right now, than asking how many squats Texas did this year.

Jett Bush and other personnel decisions is what bothers me the most about PK. There are players getting meaningful snaps that have no business being on the field.
