I'm hoping Sark isn't a total regard and actually kills it in the portal. We need dudes immediately. We absolutely cannot have another o-line like we did this season and expect anyone to come here.

Also want to add he needs to stop with the Ben Davis kind of scrubs. Ovie was ok, but again he's pretty JAG-y.

I mean the season was bad and our recruiting has been meh.  What makes you think that our portal efforts will be anything remotely close to killing it?

I don't think Trainer know the "total" number of the packages when combined and should be clarified for ALL to see.  He's thinking a $50k deal when he knows Banks has been offered much more.  He's not seeing the $150k/yr number or $600k (min) to come to Texas.  $600k is the floor offer.

Adding $600K should be the number that gets floated about, not $50k.

Perhaps the trainer is referencing the time value of money. You know a dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow. I’m sure that’s what he’s concerned about…

  3. I really think I’ll have to take a break for awhile if he chooses Tech. After the PTSD of late year Mack combined with Charlie and Herman (sans 2018), we know what failure looks like. As soon as we quit against Arkansas, I had a feeling that Sark wasn’t the guy. 6 game losing streak in embarrassing fashion didn’t make me feel any better. I think Ewers as a Red Raider would be the final straw.

It's funny how easy some people part with another person's money.

If I was clearing $30MM a year, I'd kick in a few of them to get a quarterback to go to my alma mater.

It's just possible that Mahomes and other rich people may have higher priorities for their supposedly excess cash than securing your favorite recruit to your favorite school.  The speculation about that is as idle as it gets.

I wish a rich guy would buy me a nice house. Not a mansion. Not on the beach. Just a nice house with a view from a hill not too far from a nice city. He wouldn't even miss the money.

    Never seems to happen.

Texas and other schools have shown they will come up with money. Big money. There is no comparable evidence about Tech.

Sounds like you need to put out more.

Regardless of the money aTm is throwing at kids, which is substantial, at the end of the day, the school is recruiting itself right now. Actually, that's not accurate. Let me rephrase, that RECRUITING CLASS is recruiting itself right now. Regardless of the fact college station is an island of misfit racists, and despite a shitty offense and another season ending in a wet fart, they have a tremendous class full of talented players, and the momentum is snowballing fast.

You can sell vision all you want. You can even like our coaches and our scheme. But we had a historically bad season, lost to Kansas, and haven't had a high tier commitment in ages. If you had to pick, well, the school throwing money at kids right now that is possibly going to sign the #1 recruiting class, well, at least they can say with a straight face they're drawing the TALENT to compete at the highest level. Everyone is looking at Texas and knows we don't have to talent to win shit, and probably won't any time soon. Kids want to play with other good kids, we all know that.

This is it.  If you were a top recruit which recruiting class would you want to join up with?  They have the momentum right now.  How was Mack able to beat out Stoops for top recruits (sans Peterson & Bomar) every single year despite getting his teeth kicked in for 5 years.  We just have to admit that A&M has a better staff & recruiting structure in place.  Jimbo is finishing year 4 and this is the class he is going to bring in.  We'll just have to see if Sark is able to do the same in year 4 if he lasts that long.
