Cunningham would get more minutes next season but I don't think you're going very far if he's anything more than an energy guy off the bench for like 10 to 15 minutes.
I would prefer he stick it out so there's some roster continuity next season but I wouldn't lose much sleep over it.
I knew what Cristobal was doing but I wasn't sure that was going to be the model Oregon was going to follow moving forward.
It's fairly obvious they're all in on the bag game now after hiring Lanning.
It's also going to be interesting what happens with Cunningham moving forward. It's a little different with Cunningham because he bleeds orange but he only played 6 minutes against Seton Hall and 1 minute against Stanford.
Moving forward against better competition I don't think Cunningham is going to get many minutes if any at all.
You don't even need a victory. This still cracks me up.

In the 3 games we've played against teams with a pulse (Stanford, Seton Hall, and Gonzaga) Tyson only played 1 total minute.
My guess is he wasn't going to be in the rotation at all moving forward. At least this season that is.
I'm cross posting this from the basketball forum but I found Vic Schaefer's discussion about the portal to be very interesting and enlightening. Start at 13:10 for those interested.
Speaking of this discussion, Vic Schaefer had some good comments on the portal people might be interested in. You can tell he's not a fan of the portal at all but he knows you have to play that game these days.
Start at 13:10.
Tyson isn't even a guy in the top 10 of the rotation (he's 11th in minutes).
Top 50ish recruits aren't about that life. This transfer isn't even surprising to me.
It will be interesting to follow Bama's RB room. Any chance one of Wheaton or Sanders transfers?
Saban obviously wasn't thrilled with what he had at the position which is why he started recruiting Gibbs. I think Gibbs will be their RB1 next season.
This is true but Bama's RB room is actually kind of meh which is why they took Gibbs in the transfer portal. They have a bunch of dudes that can't stay healthy.
This happens every year at almost every school. Highly ranked FR transfer when they don't get minutes.
I don't personally think there's much to read into this other than you better have a coach that can play the transfer portal game because this is the new reality of college sports.
Overshown is not a good LB. People exaggerated his ability even under Hutzler.
I had this discussion a few weeks ago about Overshown being a better fit at safety (specifically in Patterson's system).
Tyson is very talented but yeah he's still a year or 2 away it seems.
Unfortunately, top 40 caliber recruits aren't going to wait 2 years to get major minutes. It's just the new reality of the transfer portal.
