  1. He's definitely a take but that doesn't deny my initial point which has already been discussed on this board a lot in reference to Abor.
  2. I would bet this is from Chris Beard to shut down these rumors.
  3. I don't think it's known on this board but David Pierce can't stand a lot of the local media (especially AAS). A few years ago when players were transferring the AAS ran with a lot of unsubstantiated rumors that really pissed him off. I get the feeling Bishop isn't going to hold back on these fools now that he's no longer employed by Texas.
  4. Drew Bishop (former director of baseball operations at Texas) is going after Brian Davis now. All these coaches at Texas hate the AAS but they have to toe the line.
  5. Regardless, the real question is why should Carr get minutes over Askew right now? I'm in agreement with Burt that the better long-term play is to start giving Askew more minutes.
  6. That was me. I'm not sure I've seen Carr show any signs of conditioning issues but he's definitely putting in a lot more work on the defensive end at Texas. Go watch how he defended at Minnesota in some games. There was no effort at all. I think the slight regression (if you want to call in that) in shooting numbers is simply because Carr is being asked to be a different player at Texas and he was never an efficient scorer to begin with.
  7. I have nothing to back this up other than watching the games but to me the best offense so far this year is when we isolate Timmy Allen and essentially let him be a point forward. To me, he's a better playmaker than any guard we have on the team.
  8. Beard mentioned yesterday the team needs to get to the FT line more but I don't think Carr is ever going to match those numbers from previous years because he was the guy at Minnesota offensively. They wanted him to attack but does Texas really want that? I think all 4 of the bigs/SF (Allen, Disu, Mitchell and Bishop) dictate the offense more than Carr and I'm sure the USG% backs that up.
  9. I'm going to bet that simply has to do with the fact the ball was in Carr's hands so much more at Minnesota. He was dictating the offense much more at Minnesota. Does that prove a regression or that Carr is being asked to be a different player here?
  10. This guy is a fucking moron and I'm glad Beard ripped him a new one yesterday.
  11. Welp. Sounds like we're going to be playing this game down some players on Sunday.
  12. I think Abor is still a take but he looks very meh. Not that this isn't surprising based on what's been discussed on this board.
  13. Yup. Even if Carr isn't leaving this needs to happen. Askew leads the team in steal percentage, in turnover percentage, and is a better rebounder than Carr. Askew's offensive game is a bit limited currently but he's not looking for his shot which works better with this team and he doesn't turn the ball over. If Askew was getting more minutes with Mitchell and Allen I bet his advanced stats would be a lot better than Carr.
  14. I said this a few pages back and some people got upset. Specifically in reference to Ridgeway. I do agree that we probably need an edge, LB, and safety more than an interior DL.
  15. This guy is really good. I have no desire to debate the need for an interior DL but a lot of big programs will want Player.
  16. Yeah, I've never been more convinced that NIL is going to have a big impact. Look at all these PR stunts and rival fans reacting. They are scared.
  17. Nahlin gets a lot of shit (rightfully so sometimes) but I enjoy that he's willing to call out our lame local media. The one thing I can say about TFB and IT is they aren't out to harm the program
  18. In general, pace of play is drastically overvalued by college basketball fans. Most of the teams that win national titles play fairly slow and execute in the half court. Texas should probably push tempo a little more off turnovers but I have no issue with them playing slow in the half court. Here are the last 5 national champions and their rank based on possessions per game- Baylor 182nd Virginia 353rd Nova 134th UNC 62nd Nova 290th
  19. aggys have nothing to sell of their own so blowhards like Liucci are going to be quick to defend the SEC.
  20. If the Texas recruiting pitch wasn't centered around money/NIL than this staff is fucking stupid. It's a huge advantage Texas has moving forward. Also, leave it to aggys to not understand the difference between NIL and bagman game.
